Otataral, 956th Year in the Time Dying

The rest of the group, glowing from some unknown magic aboard the ship, and Romidus floating in a haze above the ship are also swallowed by the storm, and for them too a rift opens. Although a different rift from the one Streetwise went through.

The ship smacks into a cliff immediately, then it falls, sliding down the cliff face to smash to bits at teh base of the cliff. Romidus stays floating of course, and the group discovers that the glow was some kind of protective spell (Dryzh, Aki, Sapphire, and Tesla take a mere 3D6 damage).

The ship is wrecked and the crew and the attackers, now visible are all dead or dying. (8D6+50 damage). There were five of Fakir's minions aboard.

A couple Orcs might still be barely alive, but without skilled healing, they will bleed out.

[Note: this world has anti-magic properties. Only ritual magic functions, spell magic fails, supernatural and natural abilities of supernatural beings don't function properly, personal PPE cannot exceed 100 - drains. Psychic powers and martial arts powers are unaffected.]

Looking around, the cliff is low and fades into a desert wasteland in both directions.

Aki frowns as she stands up. she had curled up about her carrysack to protect Yumi. she feels bruises and scratches on her own body, but now she checks on the Mongoose.

that little creature hops out and shakes its head and looks back at Aki .. sneezes and shakes its head, as if in answer.

the girl now looks at the others and moves about checking bodies. the mongoose moving the lighter objects into a pile for now, to sort out later. the few orcs she comes across she will see what she can do for them.

the two of them continue to gather what they can. shake the others that are on her team to see if they will wake up. she knows they are alive, from her odd ability. now her strength is revealed as she shoves things out of the way to get to one of the team members.

(After not posting in a while)

Sapphire snapping out of wherever she was in her head (must have been her freedom in her head) and shakes her head of the cobwebs. "Well that was different." As she looks around to make sure everyone is OK before sensing to see if there are any remnants of ley-lines anywhere.

Aki lifts wreckage off of everyone, but it looks like all of the Orc pirates are mortally wounded or dead, as are all Fakir's minions that were aboard ship.

There are no ley lines on this planet, as if all the magic were entirely drained to the point where it disappeared entirely. Furthermore, Sapphire feels her base energy is less here (PPE max 100), everything she regenerates past that point seems to be sucked away but this strange planet.

Sapphire feeling this decides to just help move everything she can like Aki. Especially considering her strength.

"Dryzh not like boats" Dryzh said, getting to his feet. He immediately set to checking to see if anyone had noticed their arrival.

From atop the cliff, Dryzh can see a long ways in every direction, and it looks like there isn't much to see. There might be something towards the western horizon, but it might just be heat currents.

It isn't too hot for a desert, might be winter. The only plants are small tufts of grass and flowers, there aren't any large plants.

Aki looks about and then nods at the creature 'shelter, water and food. must find. away from dead, but we have these things. all not lost' *points at the pile of 'salvagable things. rope, sail, pins. buckets, belts and weapons. any water skins are also piled there. she has no need for any 'treasures' like rings and stuff the pirates might have, and has left them aside.

'we look that way for foods' *points along the cliff edge, then moves that way. the others can go look for water or shelter. about 50 yards down she lays on the ground and looks over the cliff to see if there are any plants ot insects there for eating

Romidus can only watch the others as he continues to focus on solidifying. Dispersing in light form, while not happening often was always a frustrating experience, especially when he was needed in solid form.

Romidus re-forms soon after the crash, as it takes the rest of the group a little while to extract themselves from the wreckage.

Aki is able to find a few small plants, but they aren't anything she would recognize. Of course, in Aki's case it hardly matters if they are poisonous or not.

Sapphire finally having the nerve to speak up, "This world seems devoid and stripped of all life and energy. Not necessarily dead, but there is limited things and energies that exist here. It may be possible that it might all be tied together."

" Dryzh not liking this place." The mantella stated with an exaggerated shake of his head. " Not good place stay. Need find water, and food."

[Dome]

Romidus lands amidst the group and re-wraps the chains that, although he was in dispersed light form, reformed on his wrists and ankles when he solidified. He looks around at the others. He thinks about the storm that brought them to this world and tries to remember if he had come across anything like that in his travels or his readings. He says to them, "I am sorry I wasn't more help. Occasionally transforming into light causes my form to disperse. It takes some time to come back together. Are we all here."

Romidus can't quite figure out what the storm was, though he is sure there was a rift in it, but he does notice that the winged creatures aren't among them. Streetwise was so far away when the storm began. The pelican too is gone, and there is no sign of any of the other ships far to the horizon - they must have gone through different rifts.
