"Also, I'm going to send one of my apprentices along. Her magic will be useless, but she has the general dimensional theory down and she may be useful in coming up with a way out of there."

"Her name is Bellephobe. A good mage if you get out of there. Now remember - its a sealed planet so don't try to teleport away with magic. Find something else."

"And good luck."

With that, Darrell mumbles and waves his hand and Allen disappears re-appearing on Otataral next to the shipwreak.

Appearing before the others are Allen, Bellephobe, along with a dozen camels, laden with armor fitted for each person, a dozen crossbows, a dozen short bows, 144 bolts, 144 arrows, 48 high-explosive bolts, 48 high-explosive arrows, 48 grenades, 12 condensation collectors, 6 gravity water filters, 12 camel* water packs, 48 waterskins, 100 gold ingots in various sizes, 100 silver ingots in various sizes, and 100 pounds of energy bars.

Dryzh nearly drew his sword as the camels and gear appeared in front of him. "What manner.... Allen lives! Dryzh happy! Dryzh thought friend not survive storm. Not know friend go shopping." He approached and held out his hand in human fashion.

"I am afraid that the rumours of my death have been quite exaggerated." Allen said, his mind only thinking of the legendary Dr. Livingstone.

"We don't have much time." Allen says after a moment. "In addition to shopping, I have new information. This dimension is a trap for us. I cannot get you out on my own. These supplies are to help us survive until we can escape. Magic is not of much use here, so those of us relying on it will have to use wits instead." With a wink, he footnotes "I'm screwed, but the rest of you should survive. Psychic abilities apparantly work fine."

"Aki, I'm trusting you can at least herd these camels and keep them from misbehaving. It is important since, until we get something better, these camels are our life. As a group, we will need to find a guide who can help us get the lay of the land. I believe they're reptillian, butmaybe not specifically. They rely on a liguid explosive as their primary weapon."

"Lastly, this is Bellephobe, one of Darrell's assistants. Any questions? Good, I'll leave them to her." With sidestep, he heads over to help make sure the camels are ready to travel.

"Oh! I almost forgot." He adds, at the camel. "We're no longer the only ones hunting Fakir. This was supposed to be a trap to get us out of the way, but they didn't count and Darrel and myself being so unco-operative."

Aki studies the beasts as she returns. 'i not know good plants to eat. could be bad for you. i can eats them and not hurt. they ugly creatures. stinky too'

*that said she's already among them looking them over and they seem to baically ignore her as they look about the area. then the leader drops its head to sniff at her and grunts ad the rest relax about her. they aren't too worried when Yumi pops out of her bag and studies them carefully.

*she moves over to the supplies she had piled up. the things that could be used. the pile of weapons and other 'trinkets' [jewelery] has been split up into equal piles and aki scoops up 2 for herself and drops them into the back. 'all take one piles. maybe be able to trades if split up?' *oh .. pile for beak bird .. can be her's to carry' *points out the newcomer to take his share and then sifts thru the pile of other remanants looking for water skins that don't 'stink' of bad water

Romidus is pleased to see Allan and all the supplies. As finishes wrapping the chains around his arms and legs he walks towards Sapphire. He glances at her hands, and noticing the ring on her finger. With a genial smile on his face he says, "I am glad to see that you have been freed child."

Allen sets his camel up. "OK. First stop, Akhmed's Local Guides and Emporium!" He says, in a tally-hi kind of fashion.

Child. That is something I have not been called in such a very long time. She thinks to herself before turning to Romidus. "Do I have you to thank for this?"

[Dome]

Romidus' smile beams, "I wish I could take the credit dear one, however someone else beat me to it. Either way I am glad to see it has been done."

Dryzh did as Aki told him, and picked up one of the piles and dumped it in his pack. "Dryzh not like this place. Too dry. Too empty. Think need go soon different place." He nodded in his exxagerated way.

Sapphire looks at Romidus with the most puzzled look on her face. "Do you know me?"

Clasping both her hands in his, she can hear the chains and even see the shackles on his wrists past his robes. He says, "I know a great many things dear one. While we have never met, I know of you, and your condition. I recognized the ring. I had often wondered what had became of you. I am so very glad to see that you have your freedom."

"I do, but I am just not sure what to do now. In my over 5000 years of existance I have never not been told what to do. So now I am at a loss. I don't really know what to do at all?" She looks at this individual with a hint of fear and confusion.

Romidus looks down at this child, although she is older than him in his human form, because of the what has been done to her, he still considers her a child. "No one ever again can tell you what to do, to do that would again be taking your freedom. You must choose your own path. Follow your own heart, your own desires. However, do not let passion over take you. Temper your passion with reason, let reason be your one and only sovereign. I know that sounds odd, what it means is that while we all must use our heart and feelings and emotions to guide us, to help us make decisions, unless we reason on the situation and let reason tell us the right course, then we can bring destruction on ourselves."

Sapphire listens to what Romidus says but as he can clearly see by her wide open eyes and the look onher face that he may be pushing her limits of comprehension. "But, but, but I don't know what I want. it is all too much, maybe I should just give you the ring." She pulls it her finger and offers it to him almost afraid to make a decision on her own.

What direction does the group set out in?

The cliff runs northeast to southwest. There isn't anything visible on the horizon that would indicate a direction to travel.
