Romidus holds up his hands and says, "No you must keep it. I understand your concern. I understand your fear. You are not alone. You now are in the same state as the rest of us. Unfortunately because of your situation you haven't had to make decisions before. You though have had many experiences, some good, some bad. The experiences in our life shape us to be who we are. Examining those experiences can help you to determine what you should do. Its how we all make our decisions."

Allen looked around while people were acquainting themselve. In the hubub of their last world, he didn't realized the group had picked up another traveller. No matter.
He was curious though, as he looked across the cliff to see what he could see. If this was a canyon-esque situation, they could follow it to the sea, if there was one.

Aki looks about then sighs and gathers up the rest of the small piles of trinkets and stores them with Yumi. she knows they will be safe, with the mongoose watching over them in her 'lair
*she simply gets on one of the robes and then looks at Allan 'what way we walk then?' *she has no clear idea where they will be heading but figures to ask the one that brought the things. the others are making too much noise now anyways. she knows that 'talking' is important, but too much is bad like the birds that are noisy about who's in their territory until you kill one, then they go silent

My experiences....what does he mean. He seems to know a lot about me, but if that is the case then he should know what my experiences are. Why will he just not take the ring and make this easy I mean he seems like a decent individual! Still not making the full connection of being free.
"Mr. No offence but you seem to know an awful lot about me, which means you know my past. Which experience do you want me to use to help make decisions as up to the point where I was joined with my new master, there were absolutely no good memories. So why you think I should draw on those is beyond me. And all things considering that I am making a decision based off those past experiences. I mean why do you think I am trying to give you the ring." She stares at Romidus with the saddest of looks on her face.

"I do not know everything you have had to face, but I know enough to know how bad it was. Why would I want you to use those experiences to help make decisions? To answer let me ask you, would you ever do anything like that to anyone else? Would you want anyone to ever have to go through what you did," he asks and pauses as he waits for an answer.

One of the camels nuzzles Aki, her nose sniffing. The other camels are also friendly, but this one especially so. The sun rises higher in the sky and the temperature starts to rise.

"I don't wish that on my worst enemy. But I don't think you understand my life. then again maybe you do. But I do want to help do stuff but I am not sure when push comes to shove if I will be able to make the right decision and that scares me to death." She is still looking at him in the eyes while holding the ring.

He pauses and again reaches out and closes her hand around the ring, "you will do fine. You know right from wrong, more than most. You have strength, you survived it all and came through the strong young lady that you are. I believe in you. You are surrounded by friends now," he says motioning to everyone milling about. "we all are working together towards a common goal, and we are all here to help you if you stumble."

Still looking up to the man, "But it is a burden I do not want. Part of what he did to me was to make sure that should I become free that I would not have the ability to fully make decisions. It is part of the curse that makes up me. As much as I desire to be free, there is also a part of me that is meant to follow orders for all of eternity!" She hopes this gets across to him the nature of her dilemma.

Romidus looks down at her, "well perhaps that part of what he did has ended too. You are making a decision now, by offering your ring to me. But what I believe he did is to make you so frightened of making your own decisions, should you gain your freedom you wouldn't want it."
He pauses, and looks at her, and knows that the group has to move on, he says to her, "you wish me to be your new master?"

Sapphire not requiring any form of nourishment and unaffected by the suns rays continues her discussion.

With a sad frown Romidus says, "I can only imagine. I'm sorry you feel this way. I want you to keep the ring, for now at least. I want you to try and make decisions on your own. I will be here to help you should you falter. I believe that this is what's best for you. That is what I want for you, what is best." He closes the ring in her little hand and pushes her hand close to her chest being very careful not to touch more than her the back of her hand. "I will be a guide for you, a mentor if you will. In time that feeling may dwindle, and you will take to being free. If not, if the weight of it is really too much for you, then I will be what you need. For now, you must try it this way. It is the only way I will consider taking the ring later, if you agree to try it this way for now."
He looks down at her, sincerity etched all over his face, his yellow eyes, almost glowing with encouragement.

Standing at the base of the cliff and seeing the shadows, Allen is able to see that the cliff will offer only infrequent or partial shade in the morning, but that following the base of the cliff to the northeast will provide ample shade in the afternoon. Going southwest, the other way along the cliff base, will not provide anything better than partial or infrequent shade in the afternoon. So from a shade perspective, northeast is the best direction to travel. The rest of the geography is inscrutable.

Aki gives out pats and rubs to the camels about her and giggles. then stares at the one in front of her, that seems the freindliest and triest osee if HER nose can pick up the smell of water or otehr people .. other than us
*Yumi climbs up the arm to sit on the shoulder then hops to a pack and snifs about and chirrs and waits. Aki simply dons the robes sent along and then taps the front leg and once the camel goes down and kneels, will climb up and settle in the saddle
