Kendall turns from the mysterious pain in the rear to look at Mei. "I'm sorry I was finishing up. How did you do?"

"Oh I did totally good as I am off to the next round. But I am worried about the girl I was here with earlier named Daveris. She looked like she was struggling and I am really hoping she gets through as she is my only friend I have down here right now. I mean especially after what happened at the last set and then the questions by the police. It is just soo stressful and I am not sure what I am going to do if she leaves." Mei still in her dancing outfit and not seeing a seat sits down on the floor while occasionally glancing to see when Daveris's performance comes on.
When it does she will spin around to watch it otherwise will continue making smalltalk with Kendall!

Although Kendall had tough words for the odd figure he was talking to he cannot help but feel a little bit sad for this young girl. He says, "I hope your friend does well, but either way, I'm sure by the end of this competition you will have lots of friends. You seem pretty outgoing and friendly. You have a very approachable personality."

"Really! You think so, I mean my Mom's always said I did but I was not sure. I mean hearing that from you parents is one thing but to hear it from a, no offense, relative stranger is another. Thank-you very much Kendall!"
She smiles happily at him while still checking periodically for Daveris's performance!

Mei had noticed Kendall talking behind a sound curtain, but never caught whom.
If Charger was still behind the curtain, he wasn't saying anything.

Mei mildly curious about this as now she is wondering if the guy has a girlfriend or boyfriend that he smuggled in. Dawns on her that it could even be him smuggling friends in to observe the people on the stage, there are a fair number of attractive individuals here after all. Either way no sense in wondering..
"I am sorry if this appears as rude but who are you talking too back there if you do not mind the question. Sorry if I seem to be a bit nosey, for all I know you might be even talking to yourself as I do that occasionally as well." She states wide eyed and blinking at him.

Kendall smiles at the girls observational skills, he know however that more than likely the guy is gone he says, "oh just someone else telling me what I need to do. Its what happens when your the new guy on a job."

"Oh that is cool." Is all she says still glancing back in hopes soon Daveris will be on. "You know I am actually on pins and needles here in anticipation. I just want to know, but by the same token I don't because if she fails then she will be leaving. And I know you said those nice things but you know what the sad part is. Because this is a contest and the people here no offense are not like you and I. No they are usually the more unfriendly, fakey backstabby type. Who openly mourne your failure but secretly are happy as that means they are not eliminated. But that is life. Does that make sense?"

Some of the performed walked by, discussing local gossip about who in the contestants was hitting on whom.
Soon, Daveris was up, and she started her own performance.

"See there goes a perfect example Kendall. Look at that gaggle and all they are doing is gossiping about who is hitting on who and such. It just gets so clique sometimes. Sorry I am babbling and such and look it is Daveris on! Cool!"
She listens to anything Kendall does have to say but watches Daveris on performance in an attempt to critique it!

THe chatting conitnued quietly outside the door as Daveris danced. (You know trying to not be a complete disruption.)
".. kind of mutant fight." Says one. "We were in the middle. The police said so."
"No way. We would have seen them, right? They're not ones to be hidden..." The conversation trailed off as the pair walked away.

Mei waits until the end of Daveris's performance before she comments. "Did you hear those rude people talking while my friend was dancing. I mean I guess I should of been more considerate but I am way over here. Geesh!" She still waits with pins and needles to see how the performance went and the words from the judges. Hoping that Daveris went through but knowing that as she was struggling and will probably not make it through!

Daveris's comments came next. "Well, Miss Daveris." Says a judge. "You've been with us since the Century Station auditions... And you've wowed us since then. But, you were lacking in the Broadway routine. Now, we see you're pulling up a bit."
"Yes. But are you stretching enough?" Asks another judge. "If you don't push past wat you don't know, you won't make the top 20. We need to see you pull together in the next round, got it?"
"Oh." Daveris says. "Yes, of course. Thank-you."
After a minute, she pulls Mei out of the amphitheatre, leaving Kendall alone again.
"Oh my God!" Daveris says, to a camera following her. "I'm soooo lucky. But, the judges are right. I guess I just need to not worry about it. I'm here, right? That's ace enough!"
After the camera turns off, Daveris turns to Mei, and says quietly. "God, I could die. That was my A material, there. They're right about me being limited. What can I do?"

One of the Producers comes over to Kendall. "How are things going?"

Mei's frist action after the camera is off is to grab Daveris and hug her. "I am just so glad you are not gone. But you know if we have to teach you stuff maybe we can practice some other routines. You know that Engineer, if he is working behind the scenes maybe, but just maybe he will have access to the building. If that is the case we could practice at night or when it is not in use." She looks into Daveris's eyes to see if she is keen to that idea!

Kendall says to Mei, "some people are just that way. No offense but especially younger women. You seem to be immune to the defect that plagues most young women." He pauses for a moment and adds, "the gossip disease," he finishes with a wink.
He watches her run off to Daveris and then turns to answer the producer. "I've got everything done on this end. I'll need to check out the production area when your not recording and verify connectivity with your main office. Other than that, for the moment it just needs to be monitored. Anything else you want me to look at in the mean time."
