Mei starts to wonder if something seems up with her friend as she is still meeting her chalks it up to her being spacey or flaky.
Mind you am I much better? She thinks to herself. She continues to ponder what she means by being a sparrow as well as it seems all so confusing to her.

Kendall looks at the detective as if he had grown another head, "no man I don't use and I don't sell. I just do my job. If you find anything around here it was the last guys."

"He's clean." Said the patrol officer to the detective.
The Detective handed Kendall his card. "Didn't think you were dealing. You look like an honest man, but we needed to make sure. Here's my card. Call us if you do come across anything he left behind. Thanks."
And, with that, Kendall was left to his work.

Mei
Daveris had stopped suddenly in the middle of her practice, reset, and started again. Somehow, if it was a flick of her wrist, or a movement of her head, it started to make more sense, as a flock of sparrows flitting around. "Damn. This is hard." Daveris said, pausing as the detective and officers walked by, leaving Kendall alone.
THe detective (not the same one from the bombing investigation) nodded politely at them and went on his way.
"Oh, but the engineer's alone now." Daveris says. "Did you still want to get his number?"

"Actually I was trying to get the number for you. Me. I do not think I want to even attempt any form of dating until I get settled in to the city. Maybe after then I will think of starting." That and the way my life has been I am not even sure what I want. Mei speaks aloud to Daveris and thinks to herself.
"Well then lets head back and watch. That and I personally believe that there is a thing as too much practice." And with that she grabs Daveris's hand and leads her back to the Engineer.

"Hello Kendall. Sorry if we are annoying but we are back." She then goes and sits down on the floor beside the engineering station and waits to see what is happening on stage or until he or Daveris talks to her again.

Kendall stares at the detectives back as he walks away. Shaking his head he turns back to his work as the young ladies approach. in answer to Mei he says, "oh hey girls, practice over already?"

Daveris waves. "Oh, yeah. You know, gotta get the swan song right." She says with a dismissive wave. "By the way." She leans over to Kendall, saying loud enough for Mei to hear. "Mei wants me to get your phone number."

Mei blushes and then gives the ice glare towards Daveris and comments in Japenese. "You little minx, I will get you later for this." She then turns to Kendall not missing a beat, for as far as she knows this could be how shy Daveris is.
"You know that is odd how many police are around this whole performance. At least it does not seem to be the same ones from the other day. I mean God, what Asses they were!" In an effort to change the subject although if the number is offered she will take it.

Kendall looks between the two girls and says, "not sure why you would want my number, I'm nobody special, but here you go, one for each of you." He pulls out two business cards and holding them out for each girl.
"My cell # is on it, its always with me and always on."

Happy that he gave his number to both of them instead of just Mei. She starts talking to both of them more aloud then anything. "So now what do we do other then watch. I mean practicing is done as we do not want to overdo it. But sitting around here is bound to get annoying for Kendall soon. So what do either of you suggest?"

Daveris took a sly step back. "Well, Mei, you could ask Mr. Kendall when he gets off work tonight." She says.

Mei tries to figure out the motives behind Daveris wondering if she is trying to get her out of her hair. Or trying to get her to go with this man as a friend and preperation if she does not make through the next round. She does blush though at being put on the spot.
"Very well then. Kendall, I know this may be last minute but I am guessing Daveris wants me either out of her hair or to meet more people or something along those lines. So what say you? Do you wish to do something tonight?" She stands there waiting for an answer before interjecting "unless you would rather be a group function or if you would rather go somewhere with Daveris?"
