"cast doubt and suspicion most likely. the unfortunate down-side of an academic society like ours is that we pride ourselves and revel in our own cleverness. too many times, our own astute understanding is over-shadowed only by our egos. no doubt, they know we're coming and this could very possibly be some sort of trap. just so you know, I've exhausted most of my energy without time to rest and recover. I'm not sure I'll be much help and we caught Fielder off guard the first time. he thought the council had his back. he won't make that mistake again."

Solomon grinned "no, just trying to keep you out of trouble, and thought you could use some culture" he parked the bike on the street and waited for avi before making his way towards the hall

Avi parked, pausing to listen to something on his bandadio before removing his helmet. " Some of the others found trouble again. I'm starting to think Control is some sort of crap magnet." He got off and walked with solomon.

Avi tapped his band-adio, " Call if you need me, Is."
As they entered the hall, something seemed amiss. The foyer and outer room were empty, which almost never was the case. Solomon could also feel the residual sensation of a powerful spell being used recently.

Solomon stopped and held out a hand for Avi to hold up. looking around he told Avi "not good. where is everybody? I'm getting a whiff of some bad juju. we need to watch our backs"

" Juju? What the heck is juju?" Avi asked with an odd expression. Another person entered and stopped, looking terrified. " Professor Priest." Solomon recognized the new arrival as one of the newer members of the guild, but only knew his first name was Kendall. kendall looked scared. " You shouldn't have come. "

kendall just looked at solomon with a blank stare. " It happened so fast. I didn't know what to do." Avi pointed at the bottom of Kendall's robes. " Solomon, that's blood he's covered in." He was staring past to the council chamber's door.
He tapped his band-adio ," No can do, Isamu. Have a situation here with Solomon."

Solomon pulled his pistol looking at Kendall. "Kendall, I swear to God, if you don't stop stammering on, I'm going to shoot you myself. now WHAT happened?"

Kendall's eyes went wide at the sight of the pistol, and he held his hands up to defend himself pointlessly. " No please, don't shoot me. One of the council thought it was best to bring Fielder back here for them to deal with. But when he did, some sort of creatures came out of the shadows and attacked the council. It's horrible in there. I ran, along with a few others, but I don't know who else made it out before Nathaniel sealed the doors to keep whatever they were in. He sent me to to check if things had stopped. He's hurt pretty bad."
