Solomon shook his head "I'm not sure what I'm suggesting just yet. this whole thing is a mess and none of it makes any sense. all it does is cast doubt and raise more questions. all I can tell you is that I don't think the kid was involved. he was pretty shaken up. a complete basket case. I sent him home, but if he was involved, he should be working Hollywood, not Miami. if that was all an act then it was the best performance I've ever seen. Avi? what do you think?" Solomon looks around for Avi to get his input or a second opinion.

(occ: The Nexus is located on the fairway of the 5th hole at the golf course a dozen blocks from the guild house. All three are not farfrom the airport. )
Avi looked at Solomon at his calling. " No idea, I didn't pay much attention to him at the time. I was watching for bigger threats. He may have pulled a fast one on us, but he'd have to be a master preformer."

Solomon nods "either way, we can't stay here. it's not safe. Avi, I hate to ask more of you, but we need another favor. can we use your facility as a safe house for the time being? based on what I felt outside, we might have compromised Yuri's shop in coming here, just as I feared. I don't think this location is secure. Yuri can take Nathaniel in his car and follow you. I'll be right behind you. I just need to make a short detour for a quick recharge."

Avi raised a brow, but then shrugged. " Have to check with Isamu, but I don't see an issue."
" I'm not sure about this solomon." Yuri interjected. " the council does not like to involve outsiders in Guild affairs."

Solomon rolls his eyes as he turns back to Yuri again "Yuri, first, in case you didn't hear me the first time, most of the Council is dead, laying in pieces and pools of their own blood back at the Guild. second, I don't see many other options. we can't afford to embrace a 'separatist' stance any longer. someone has declared war on us, brought that war to our doorstep and dropped a bomb on us, and we haven't even seen the face of our enemy. if they can do this to us, what chance do we stand alone? we can't remain neutral any more. we need allies and we're going to have to choose a side."

" Very well, you can go with your outsider friends." Yuri answered. " I will do what I can on my own and co-ordinate with you as best I can. My first priority is to find Kendall and any others that survived. After I drop Nathaniel whereever you want to go."

Solomon gave Avi a sideways glance as he smirked "Yuri, it might help if you start to consider them as 'potential allies' instead of 'outsiders' in this war, but as long as we all agree let's get going. I think I can carry Nathaniel to the car." Solomon walks over and tries to pick Nathaniel up in a fireman's carry as best and carefully as he could.

Nathaniel was dead weight (180 lbs) as Solomon lifted his friend and mentor. Avi held the door, glancing back at Yuri as he was turning things off," Sol, I don't trust this guy."

Solomon nods knowingly to Avi "neither do I, but let's save it for later" he whispered "let's just get Nathaniel out of harm's way. he's my first priority. if I were a detective Yuri would be my main suspect. there were too many holes in his story, but there's a lot of other things that don't add up either. nothing about any of this makes any sense."
"I don't have any evidence or even a motive so I can't risk a confrontation right now. I need to swing by the golf course to take care of something I should've done earlier, but I was too shaken up and didn't think. should only take a minute or so. you want to stick together or split up? is there any way we can keep in contact if we split up?"

" We better hang together, in case this guy tries something." Avi replied as he stared his bike. " Besides, I don't think I want a confrontation with Yuri if I can help it." He pulled away from the curb. Yuri pulled away as well.
Once they passed the guild, Solomon could feel the energy of the ley starting to recharge his mystical powers. He also knew that Yuri and Nathaniel behind him would be doing the same thing. Avi didn't know any of this, and simply kept driving.

Solomon changed lanes and slowed, letting Yuri pass and motioning him to keep following Avi as he pulled in behind Yuri's car more like a motorcade escort, sandwiching Yuri between Avi and himself so he could try to keep an eye on them. Solomon also tried to keep an eye on his rear-view as well trying to make sure they weren't being followed or pursued.
(ooc: Solomon draws on the 10 ppe per melee round available from the ley line for as long as he can, another reason he slowed and let yuri pass to increase his exposure time)

By the time ( about five minutes because of traffic) the three vehicles had passed the golf course, Solomon could determine no one was following them. Avi turned their little parade southeast towards the beach front properties. Yuri seemed content to follow along

Yuri seemed to be complying. Avi led them to the beachhouse, and Yuri followed him up the drive, stopping nearest the door.

Solomon parked his bike next to Avi's with a nod to Avi "thanks, just want you to know I really do appreciate everything" then went to get Nathaniel out of Yuri's car and into the house. he struggled a bit with leveraging Nathaniel up out of the car "a little help?" he called back to Avi "getting him in seemed easier than getting him out"
(ooc: just realized Solomon can only carry 150 lb)
