Solomon sprang to his feet "we have to get to Yuri's" he called to Avi "I have to warn them" flipping out his cell phone again and hitting the redial button

" Warn them? About what?" Avi asked as Solomon dialed. The line went straight to Yuri's voicemail box.

loud enough for Avi to hear, he left a brief message for Yuri "Yuri, I hope I'm not too late, but get ready. I had a vision and I think you're about to have company. I'm on my way" he flips the phone closed heading for his bike "we have to get there, but I'm low on juice" (down to 15 ppe)
"look, I saw you on the floor at Yuri's. I don't know what's going on, but Yuri's involved somehow. I only have enough for maybe one or two more spells. I'll try to use it to protect you, but for now, nobody knows you're with me. maybe you should hold back and let me go in first to see what's going on?"

" If you're out of juice, then that's a bad idea." Avi replied, shaking his head as they headed outside. " don't worry about me, my powers let me heal from anything real quick."

Avi nodded. " I've survived alot bigger than that. Losing an arm sucked until I grew it back."

Solomon just looked at Avi, shaking his head "that's ... almost ... cool, in a very grizzly sense, but suit yourself. I won't argue the point" as he gets on his bike and starts it up. looking over to make sure Avi is ready to go, Solomon takes off for Yuri's shop

Avi paced Solomon, letting the professor lead the way. The sign on the door said the shop was closed, but Yuri's car was parked out front.

Solomon waited for Avi "he usually keeps the front locked after hours. let's try the back" Solomon walked around the building keeping his senses open for the presence of enchantments or evil

To his concern, Solomon could detect both from inside the shop. Avi followed closely as they rounded the store towards the back. the door was indeed unlocked.

Solomon paused at the back door taking up a flanking position and holding up a hand for Avi to wait. he unholstered his pistol and began a five-finger count-down from five to one. on one he opened the door and quickly crossed over inside to the opposite side of the door with his weapon at the ready, sweeping the area, using his detective training for standard police rules of entry and engagement to take point, and hoping Avi knew enough to mirror his movements.

Avi took Solomon's lead and mimiced it with military precision. In each hand he had drawn a Colt 1911 from beneath his jacket. The back room was empty, but they could hear movement coming from the store room. A " Who's there?" came abruptly from the storeroom, and Solomon could no longer sense evil present.

Solomon called back "it's Solomon. Yuri? is that you?" whispering to Avi "something isn't right. watch your back" he cautiuously, slowly started making his way along the outside wall toward the store room, keeping his back to the wall and staying alert

" Solomon? I told you not to come here." Yuri scolded. " I need time to heal Nathaniel's wounds. Get out of here, in case you led whoever was behind the attack to us."

Solomon called back "too late for that now" shaking his head to Avi and whispering "that's not what Yuri said earlier. I have a bad feeling about this" continuing to make his way back to the store room and keeping his senses open, Solomon had a dread feeling in the pit of his stomach wanting more than anything to verify Nathaniel's safety for himself
