Rhys looks in the direction that Mendez indicates. Using my Multi-Optic eye I scan full spectrum. If I don't spot any danger or threats I will head in that direction.

(Rhys-) Nothing shows up on the scan, but the uneveness of the terrain make that no surprise to you. After a few minutes, a heat signature shows in the thermo-imagery ahead of you, but it's positioning makes it hard to tell what it is.

(And yes Rhys is remaining silent not wanting to give away our position and using silent Military hand codes)

Mendez holds his fist up and then signals for the squad to take cover, then he creeps up to rhys and gives him the (what did you spot signal) when rhys shows him, i use my multi optic eye to zoom in on it.

Ellie takes cover and hold her position CP-40 at the ready flipping through her HUD of the armor she looks for heat signatures and any movement

Thermal scans are still inconclusive, but movement by the source tells you it that there is more than one target, and that it is well tucked behind cover near the edge of thermal imagery range.
Mikey moves into a covering position off to the left, staring at Mendez instead of watching where he should. " So," he whispers, " what's out there?"

(GM note: I need a perception roll from everyone. I use a different type of perception roll than the Palladium system because, well this is simpler as defined in the GM report in the OOC section. Just roll 1d20+Iq modifier and post in your next post)

(OOC: um two things one Rhys is using multi optic eye on normal sight or passive nightvision. and two the IQ bonus thing you are refering to. Do you mean Nightbane's way of putting the IQ on the ME chart and getting your perception bonus or do you mean the IQ bonus to skill percentage? couldn't find what you were talking about in the GM report thread)
