"Sir, you do realize we're not in friendly territory and magic users can assume your form." While holding the mini-PC in the one hand she cross-referances the 82nd Airborne with Lt. T. J. Gantry. As the search results come up she uses Remote Veiwing on the picture on the mini-pc.
OOC: Athos just make up a Social Security Number or something... its not that big of a deal:)

LT Gantry is dressed in Dead Boy CA-6 Heavy Armor with officer insignia. He is carrying coalition weapons, specifically a C-12 and a C-20. The id on the body armor matches the name he gives.
If you take the time to do a retinal scan that will come up matching the name of T. J. Gantry as well.

The picture should comfirm him even though his helmet is on. to everyone; " Lets move out. shep, dyson,and snowball are expecting us." puts tracking devices shoulder strap on and holsters pistol, draws rifle.

OOC Athos... how are you supose to get a retinal scab from 10+ feet away??? or even a finger print. I'm sure they still use ID numbers... A Juicer can kill a man before they get anywhere near him to get a retinal scan... Just a percaution thats all. If you were with the party I would ask for a sign/counter-sign... but we never came up with one. But yeah Ellie is weary of magic cause she doesn't fully understand it or what uses people could get out of it. But she does know you can look like someone else... She also knows about Possession so... yeah.

OOC: I was in the US Army from 1984 to 1992 and was never asked for a SSN or serial number in the field. If you had the name, unit and daily password, you were good to go. I can't imagine they would use something as easily fakable as a number in the C.S. as paranoid as they are. We have fingerprint and retinal scan technology today in 2004 that is quite accurate, they must have even better stuff in the future. Using a number, you could simply get it off a dead body and your mage would be in like flint. Using biometrics, your mage wouldn't be able to fake it, it would take one of those super changelings or something similar.

OOC: I know they don't use serial numbers in the field but I couldn't think of anything else we could use... I figured the last 4 of your social or even you man number... (My character doesn't know that people can commune with spirits.. not magic users anyways... she's heard of psychics doing it but not magic users. She doesn't know much about necromancy.) I know you would normally use a sign/ counter-sign but you wouldn't know ours... So I was just looking for what may be used to identify your character without getting all up in your grill. Also I'm currently in the Air Force, I know you think they're the wusses of the military, So I know the basics on it all, having yet to deploy and all.
