Isamu shakes his head as he looks at the man. He says to Ashley, "no. Allow me to have a few words with him. Wait right here."
Isamu walks over to the front of the vehicle. He stands in front of it and with a wave of one hand the ground beneath him rises so he can meet this man eye to eye his face stoic and calm, "I know you and her are family. But she is my family now. Really my only family. So I do not know if this thing between you two is normal behavior or not. What I do know is that you want to say things to incite a reaction, here is your reaction. I have gone through monsters, and villains and even zombies to keep her safe and have her by my side. I am still standing and they have all lost. Some worse than others. I will literally move mountains and rip through walls for that woman and the family that we are starting together. Brother or not, what do you think I will do to you?" His face shifting through the conversation from the passive calm to the devious and near angry sneer only his enemies have seen.
"If you are family, and this nonsense stops, we can be friends. If not, forget Ashley, forget Kodiak, because you will have to DEAL WITH ME," the last few words touched with his Stun Yell Kaijatsu, and the stone platform he is standing on raising just slightly so he is looking down at the man.
Then standing up straight he crosses his arms and looks at him saying, "are we clear? Or would you like to try me," hes face still showing the angry sneer.

"Whoa bro, just teasin sis a bit. No need to get all bent up! " Alan replied, frozen by Isamu's intimidation.
A gentle hand on Isamu's shoulder was accompanied by Ashley's voice. "Is, no. He's just pushing my buttons. He doesn't mean any harm other than to piss me off." She then flipped her brother off and snapped," Get in and drive, ilio wahine"
"Oh, so she remembers some of her heritage" Alan relaxed and smirked before getting into the driver seat. He started it up ," Well come on, lets go."

Isamu stands up straight and allows the stone platform to recede. His face calming and going passive as he straightens his shirt.
"As I said, I do not have family, so I am not aware of these teasing games. However I believe he now understands how I feel on the subject," he says flatly. He walks around to the passenger side of the car and opens the door for Ashley before getting in himself.
He still doesn't understand how family can behave like this. He hoped if he had siblings it would not be this way. And he truly hoped his children, the ones that Ashley was now carrying would not pick up this teasing mentality from their mother and her brother.

"Isamu, you do have a family. Mine, both here and in Miami." Ashley replied before following him and getting in her brother's car.
The drive back was quiet, with Ashley leaning on Isamu's shoulder with her hand in his. When they arrived at the family home, her parents were waiting on the porch and came walking towards the car. It was obvious her mother knew. "This is gonna be fun." Ashley uttered as her brother got out and headed inside.

"I asked your father to allow you to be the one to tell your mother. I think he may have let the bag off the cat," Isamu says as they look out of the vehicle.
He lets her sit for a few moments to collect herself before he says, "come we cannot sit here all night. Let us go and write the music." He gets out of the vehicle and makes his way around to Ashley's door, opening it so she can get out.

Ashley slid out, and as they began to walk to the house, her posture seemed to be almost back to normal. That did not stop her mom from rushing out to meet them, embracing Ashley, "You had us all scared, child. You need tell us everything. No more games trying to hide things from us. The truth Ashley."
Ashley returned the hug and spoke softly in her mother's ear," Well, the truth is, you're going to be a grandmother."
That completely changed the attitudes, and perhaps she had not known after all. "Wha...how? I mean when? Isamu?" She looked at Is with a surprised look.

Isamu raises an eyebrow at the statement. It almost sounded like she did not think him capable of being the father. He frowns but then lets it go. He suggests, "perhaps we should take this discussion into the house."

"Yes Mom, Isamu." Ashley replied, nodding in agreement with Is. " Yeah, I'd like to get off my feet for a bit."
"Of course." Her mom said, wrapping both in a big hug before they were led into the house.

As they walk into the the house Isamu can't help but say, "Ashley, not the truth I thought this discussion would start with, however with this one in mind, the others may be easier for them and their stomach's, no?"
He allows her parents to let them into the house and direct them to sit down.

"Don't complain, this could have been much worse." Ashley said, talking Isamu's hand as they walked inside.
"Now we know why you wanted to tell us about marraige." Ashley's father said, patting Isamu on the shoulder.
"But what about ..." Her mother replied, a bit more concerned.
"My bug collection?" Ashley scowled, " Mom, I think they are already connected. Do not worry, Isamu won't let anything happen to me." She smiled and hugged her mother, adding, "You're gonna be a grandma."
That brought a smile and tears of joy.

All of the interactions are new for him. He was confused too. He found out Ashley's parents had always known about Ashley's symbiotes, but he thought Ashley didn't know they knew, and she wanted to keep it a secret from them
He speaks up, "honestly, we were not aware of the pregnancy when we decided to get married. I love Ashley with all my heart. I would do anything to protect her and make her happy. The pregnancy only makes that feeling stronger."
"So to make sure we are all on the same book, you are aware of Ashley's symbiotes and what they allow her to do," he asks her parents.

"We have known since she was attacked and infected." Ashley's mom replied.
"I can't belive I'm saying this, but I wish we weren't going back to Miami tomorrow." Ashley said, reaching out to take her mom's hand.
"Your mother has wanted to come to the mainland for sometime. Perhaps Miami would be a good place to see. In about eight months" Her father smiled, causing Ashley to get up and hug her dad.

Isamu says, "we do not need to go yet. I will contact MacCoulter. With the events of the day and this new news, he will not take issue with extending our stay."
"I am pleased that you do not have problems with our abilities. Some find it difficult to accept," he says to her parents.

Ashley said nothing, but merely gave Isamu a stare.
Her father chuckled. "Isamu, Ashley left home to be her own person. I highly doubt she is wanting to return to the nest."

"I understand. I am not proposing an indefinite stay, just several days longer. Not to be selfish, however I did just have to fight a Tigerman that my punches did not seem to slow down or injure," Isamu says and then pauses to look around. "An extra day or two too relax sounds appropriate I think," he says looking at Ashley and raising an eyebrow.
