*goes back in the mind .. back to the earliest memories she can recall. small flashes about gardens, toys and a happy voice murmers .. then it fades to blackness. then shudders visibly and opens the eyes against the rising tide of fear, and exhales to assist with the calming. ...o0( oh god .. i gotta stop trying to remember that part. its too scarey just now )
*then looks outside again, continueing the breathing an old homeless person had suggested shortly after jackie's death, and before the person saw her features. 'yeah .. deep breaths ... ' *then does a few more of them, and feels the rising tingle subside before addressing the others. 'don't know if you guys can make things come outta you .. but its scarey as all get out. i could do it with marbles .. making them explode .. now i can do something new .. so don't get to close to me .. i don't wanna frag no one by mistake. that's why Ty said he'ld help me. nothing more than that'
*then looks up towards the mirror, her gold eyes watching ashley and then thinks ...o0( oh no .. i really hope they don't see what i did to the truck on the way back. that was really embarassing )

I think Jason would've kicked his tail if he'd touched you. Michael's voice replied in Spark's mind without him turning to face her as he watched Eric play his game.
Ashley started the truck and pulled out of the yard. She glanced in the mirror at everyone as she slipped on her sunglasses. " Okay, let's see if we've got this straight. Jas, you're going to take Eric and Mike to find out what's so special about that disc after we drop you at the rental place, right?"
Jason nodded. " Yeah, hopefully it won't take long to figure it out."
" While you guys do that," Ashley continued," Allie, Maria and I will set up a chat with Dimitri to get some answers. In the mean time," she made eye contact with Maria," we'll head over to keep an eye on Felicia and Will just in case. By the time all that is taken care of, Ty and Trev should be in town and we can go from there with what we find out."
Jason smirked at Maria. " Don't worry about Ty, underneath that hardass exterior he puts on for show, he's just a big teddy bear. Well, a teddy bear that can shoot lightning bolts from his fingers. Besides, this just gives him an excuse to give his car a paint job." He turned his attention to Alice's daydreaming. He gently jabbed her in the ribs with his fingers to get her attention as he leaned in and whispered to her. " You were awful quick to correct Ty back there. If I didn't know better, I'd say you're a little defensive on the subject ."
Everyone went silent at Maria's warning, only to be broken by the sounds of a cd being loaded. " I' drive, I pick the tunes." Ashley gloated as Garth Brooks began to play
" I do plan to tell him Will. I just want to make sure of it before I tell him." Felicia replied, fidgeting. " We usually park in the uunderground garage next door. " She turned to look at Will. " I know we didn't get off to a good start, but I just wanted to thank you for coming with me. I'm not sure coming by myself would've been a good idea."

*smiles slightly* 'its probably nothing. just some fear of .. nothing' *shakes the head and looks out the window again ,, and then addresses the others 'look .. i know i'm not really pretty or what you would consider normal .. wish i could pass myself off like some of you can. but thanks .. for hearing me .. and for .. giving me a chance. i know you didn't have to. anyone have any questions about me or what i remember? .. promise i wont freak at any of them. might help me to remember past the blackness.
*the eyes stray to the front seat and the minor scorch marks she can see on the dash and wonders if the blood can be seen from the box.

Alice turns to Jason and smiles as she leans in to whisper playfully "You were just as quick to correct Tyler, so maybe you're the one who's defensive about the subject." She tickes his ribs gently and winks at him.
Alice can't help but smile quietly at what Michael said to sparks but then pretends she didn't hear it. Instead, she asks sparks "Is that why you ran away when I was thanking you for the clothes earlier?"

*looks at Alice and winches and takes a deep breath and shakes the head* 'nah .. not really. you know i can make things blow up .. marbles and stuff? .. some explode right away .. others i can delay for a while ... i thought i had figured it out and had a control of that power. then .. today? .. on the way back? .. i .. uhh .. lets just say i can now do this electricity thing .. covers me .. and i can't control it. but i did't wanna hurt no one. killed one friend by mistake with the first power when it started .. blew him to pieces .. .. and i didn't want it happening again. thats it .. thats all. why i want to be alone at times .. i ran cause i felt it building and it almost gotcha .. '
*then shrugs helplessly and looks at the ground and then back to Alice. 'yer welcome. just got stuff in a smaller size than me .. in different colors so we dont get'em mixed up. glad yer not one of them whiney types. reeboks and other names. waste of time it thats the case '

Alice nods "I was wondering why you ran off. I was wondering if you didn't like me or something." Alice smiles quiety "No, I don't care about that stuff. When you're a student working at minimum wage, it's hard enough to pay the rent, much less buy over priced little t-shirts."

Felicia shrugged. " Dr. Reno was one of Trevor's doctors after his accident and the only one that didn't bail out when they discovered what he'd become. Turns out she has a soft spot for metas and whenever we have a problem Tyler can't cure, we come see her. We aren't the only ones to see her, but her office is neutral territory. The doc threatened not to help anyone if the truce is broken." She pointed towards a beige colored building. " That's it there, we usually park around back in the underground parking of the apartment building. We have to use the back door anyways so her normal patients aren't spooked off."
Ashley looked at Maria in the mirror again. " There isn't one of us in this truck who you can call normal. Yes, some of us are a little more visible in how we differ from the normals, but we adapt to it." As if on cue, a black lump appeared and crawled acrossed the back of her neck, disappearing back below her collar on the other side for all to see through the hollows in the head rest.
Barely able to feel Alices' teases, Jason made no attempt to evade it. " Ty is what makes me defensive, but I guess that's what big brothers are for." He admits.
Ashley brought the car to a halt at a Hertz. " Okay guys, here we are."
Jason climbed out, and looked back in the window at Alice. " Be careful, and listen to Ashley, she knows what she's doing." He looked he had something else to say but instead walked up to Ashley. " Call if you need us."
" Yeah, right. " She mused and pulled away.
