ABOARD THE ORBITAL WATCHTOWER.....
(Hawkgirl)
The Combat training room shook as Hawkgirl barely managed to deflect Barda's Mega-Rod with her own mace. The former leader of Apokalips' Female Furies stood in her red swimsuit and head band, grinning madly as she took a moment to catch her breath. Shayera was thankful: The New God warrior was nearly as strong as Wonder Woman, but Barda's savagery and ferocity matched her own!
"Thank you for agreeing to do this! You won't believe the time I've had finding a decent sparring partner! A few bruised ribs or a cracked bone and they never come back!" She spit out. "I don't know how a Thanagarian Warrior like you can stand it!"
(Flash, Firehawk, Kyle Rayner)
Flash was giving a tour of the Watchtowers to two relative newcomers. The first, Firehawk, had briefly been with the team after their initial expansion, but had drifted away during the trouble with Cadmus. The other was Kyle Rayner, a Green Lantern who had been assigned to Earth after a long deployment out in space. Wally's worried that this means the Guardians, the supremely powerful but often engimatic entities that control the Green Lantern Corps, are going to order John Stewart off-world.
Kyle Rayner, for his part, was impressed with what he'd seen so far. Granted, it was nothing compared to what he'd seen on Oa over the last couple of years, but it was still astounding by any human standard. Mostly though, Kyle was happy to finally be home - not that he didn't love the Corps, but seeing Earth reminded him what he was fighting for, and he was looking forward to setting up a life back home. However, he too was confused by the Guardians' change in tactics; two members of the Corps selected from the same world was enough of a rarity, but to have them both actually assigned to that same world was unheard of! Normal protocol was to have one stationed on their world while the other was given tasks related to the rest of Corps on Oa. That wasn't even the least of it - before he'd been reassigned he'd start hearing rumors among the rest of the Corps - things he couldn't believe, let alone discuss. He'd hoped to talk to John Stewart at some point, but there hadn't been a good opportunity just yet.
Firehawk walked about, and couldn't help but notice a few suspicous stares, or so she thought. She didn't think that anyone except the core members of the League knew about her dual identity, or that she had left the team to run for Congress. Given the troubles Cadmus caused the League, she supposed that they were right to be concerned. That said, Firehawk believed in the system; in checks and balances and that the process would vindicate everyone as it had eventually vindicated the League.
(Green Arrow, Atom)
"I'm sorry Arrow; I simply cannot tell you Black Canary's current mission or wherabouts." J'Onn J'Onzz folded his arms, a sign that he considered the matter closed. Green Arrow had just spent the past hour trying to coax information from the Watchtower's Operations chief, but he remained as impassive as stone.
Atom couldn't help but overhear Green Arrow's griping, much as he wished he could. He was at the science station, trying to isolate some anomalous reactions in the Fusion Reactor that were reported a few hours ago. The technical team had dismissed it as "just a little thing", but Ray Palmer knew better than most not to dismiss the small stuff. (Roll d20+your bonus for Craft Science).
Alarms blared across the Watch Hall as the teleporters shimmered to action. Scant seconds later, two prone forms materialized on the pad. Superman and Green Lantern John Stewart were both badly beaten and barely conscious. The big Green Lantern's left arm bent back at an unnatural angle, while the Man of Steel's costume was torn and bloody, his right eye swollen shut.
J'Onn wasted no time reacting as he hit the alerts. "Emergency Medical team to the Watch Hall!"
(Roll a Notice Check with a d20 you two; if you have the Notice Skill, you use the number in the brakets (+x) next to the skill ranking. If you don't have the skill, the bonus (if any) is next to your INT score).

(Question)
The Question skulked silently through the abandoned Soder Cola plant. He knew that the answers he sought to his latest quest lay here, and he was determined to find it. He hoped over the conveyer belt, making his way to the foreman's office on the catwalk.
Then the lights snapped on. He heard the sounds of weapon safeties clicking and could see multiple red dots on his person. He looked and saw over two dozen soldiers in black riot armor targeting him from the catwalk above. And right in front of the door to the foreman's office stood Amanda Waller; her face a mask of quiet intensity.
"Well, it's about time. Do you have any idea how many different sting operations we had set up for you? Military bases, old government records offices, Storage depots! Why on Earth did you pick this place?" She shook her head slightly. "We need to talk."
