Kristian tossed his band-adio onto his towel and then dropped his shirt atop it. He smiled, her hands in his now," Si, this is Florida, the water doesn't get that cold. And I'm sure we can stay warm otherwise." He grinned as they began to step into the surf
Gremlin looked at Tom, his unchanging tone not matching his expressions Look, I don’t know what happened here. I only came for the car. Raig has a line on a chop shop that ships them out to LA past emissions testing.
Beth came to the door, “ Tom, what are you doing? Who is that?”

Jason shrugged,” They’re into all sort of stuff. Gremlin would be an expert boost though with his powers. Still like to get my hands on him though, preferably around his neck.”
Dmitri smirked. “ the comm is all yours, Jason. I…”
An exchange came over the band-adio channel (GM note: Tom receiving also)
Janie:” Can I help you?”
Man:” Where’s the reporter?”
Janie:” Excuse me? You mean Beth? She just went…, why?”
Man:” Nevermind.”
Janie” HEY! GET OUT! That isn’t yours!”
Man:” Shut up and you’ll live.”
Janie:” don’t you threaten me. Do you know who…”
*Two faint pops* Man:” Don’t care either”
*sounds of rummaging in the car*
Dmitri looked sick as he said something in his native Croatian. He was already transforming to his metallic form as he ran for the stairs. Jason grabbed the command microphone over the channel. “TOM, FORGET GREMLIN. JANIE’S BEEN SHOT!” He looked at Isamu and Alice hopelessly, “ Alice, I can get there in time, but….”

His eyes go wide, then looks at Gremlin. "I can't deal with you right now, either go away or help me." as he races out to the car.

'like i'm supposed to know that? i know about the backroads and small towns than water on the ocean. oh .. this feels really odd, nice but odd'
*she is smiling and then actually starts to giggle as the water laps at her. she doesn't say much at this time, she's just enjoying beng with Kristian now. a part of her is thinking about Arc and his family and then she puts that into a box to think of hte here and now.

"Screw it. Dmitri, take Isamu!" Jason shouted after the Croatian. He turned and picked up Alice in his arm, " Is, we'll see you there" Before either of them could speak, Jason was moving at his top speed , and all alice could see was a blur around them
Dmitri returned, his face panicked despite being a metallic mask. He turned for Isamu to get on his back," No time to argue. Please call ashley to tend things here and get on so I can fly us there."
As they got very close and personal in the evening surf, Sierra could feel Alice and Jason leave in an incredible hurry. Kristian looked at her, " What's wrong?"

As Tom rounded the house alone, he could see Janie slumped in the front of the car, though held up by her seatbelt. she was alone, but there was a man walking away down the street. Otherwise the area was deserted.

"Janie!" He rushes over to her, hoping Beth has followed. He reaches out with his powers and tries to grab the man magnetically.

In shock over what she'd just heard, Alice is momentarily stunned at hearing her best friend get shot. She is about to tell Isamu to get Kristian and Sierra, but doesn't get the chance as Jason grabs her and starts to run to where Jane, Tom and Beth are. Once they arrive at their destination, she immediately says to Jason, "We need to get Kristian here! He has healing abilities!" Alice will call over the radio, hoping to catch Dmitri before he leaves, "Find Kristian and bring him here!"

Dmitri heard Alice, but panic was setting in as he looked at Isamu," We need to get to Jane. Now."
Jason had stopped just acrossed the street from where Tom had just gotten to the car. Inside, he could see the front of Janie's shirt was starting to soak with blood. The man walking the street did not resist as Tom drew him back," What is the meaning of this?"
As he let Alice go, Jason immediately keyed his own band-adio, stepping aside so the radio calls wouldn't get mixed up, but Alice could hear him say Avi's name.

Tom immediately attempts first aid on Janie, seeing if he can find a first aid kit in the glove compartment.

'don't know what happened. Jason and Alice just took off in a hurry. i got a really odd feeling that .. nah .. don't worry about it. it's me being a worrywort.

Alice tries to calm Dmitri down as she says, "Find Kristian. He should be around. He can help heal Janie. Jason is trying to reach Avi." Alice then goes over to where Jane is and asks Tom, "Anything I can do to help?" If there is, Alice will do her best to keep the bleeding contained until Avi and/or Kristian arrive. She wishes that she could use her healing abilities to help other people instead of just healing herself.

As Tom and Alice did their best to contain the blood loss, they could both see that Janie was somewhat lucky. She had been hit low in the shoulder and in the stomach, both from their first aid knowledge, survivable. .
the man Tom had contained was getting upset," I said let me go." There was a pop and something slammed off the car. In short order though, the man was sprawled on the ground , his shirt smoking as Jason had drilled him point blank with one of his energy blasts. " Avi's on his way. How is she?" Though preoccupied, Alice could tell Jason was a little shaky.
Kristian tilted his head," Are you sure? We can check in if it will make you feel better?" His face clearly showed that wasn't what he wanted.

"It's not great, but if we can get her medical attention, she'll make it." Tom matter-of-factly replies. "So let's do that, ok?"

Alice tells Tom, "Avi is on his way. He had impressive healing abilities, so he should be able to heal Janie with no problems." Turning to Jason, she worries that he is a bit shaky but knows he wouldn't like it if she asked him about it in front of the others, so she asks, "What is Avi's ETA?"

'nah .. more likely theire late for a dinner and movie and left that way cause its faster. if it's really important i'm sure someone would be on the porch and calling out. i don't get any time alone with you lately' *resumes what they were doing
