Ch. 59 The Break In

[Mierin]

Isamu
Despite Dmitri's panic to get to Janie, he seems to nod at what Alice is saying to him and tells Isamu, "I'll be right back!" He then runs outside, shouting Kristian's name.

Sierra
Almost as if on cue, Dmitri comes dashing outside, screaming Kristian's name. Kristian starts to get an annoyed look on his face, however, once he sees how panicked Dmitri looks, he sighs and says "I guess we should go see what is going on." Even so, Kristian still looks reluctant, until the panicked Dmitri starts saying, "Janie! Janie's been shot! Alice asked me to get you! Please! You have to come with me!" Dmitri looks at Sierra and asks "Can you come too? You can copy his healing power, right?"

Tom
Jason tells Alice, "Avi should be here in a few minutes." Alice looks worried as she looks down at her best friend and says, "I hope one of them get here soon." Alice continues to stop the bleeding, as it seems like time has slowed down as they wait for Avi or Kristian to arrive.

Sierra just slaps the water once and sends a wide spray back out toward the sea. 'fine. whatever. lets go K-man' *that being said she uses one arm to shield her upper body as she gets out of the water and to the blanket.

*she simply stoops to grab her wet clothes and in a fit of anger that lasts as long as it take to throw something, her sandles are hurled a good 50 feet out into the water. she turns her back to wrap up in the blanket even as she says 'well. do you know where they are? if so get your gateway thing open. sorry K-man, don't think its ever gonna happen for us. oh well. at least i got Arc on our side to talk .... so i know i got one thing right. let's go big D'

[Dome]

Isamu calls Ashley on the intercom and tells her that he and Dimitri must leave immediately and he wanted her to cover the control room. He then waits for Dimitri to get Kristian so that they can leave.

Tom nods as he continues to apply pressure. "Honestly Alice, I'm not sure if I'm doing more harm than good right now - it's like I'm wearing a steel body cast here - just tell me if I'm putting on too much pressure."

[dakota]

"It's okay Tom, your'e doing fine." Jason said as he knelt down next to the man he'd blasted. As he got closer, he paled. " We gotta get moving"

Beth finally came around the corner of the house and stopped in her tracks, screaming as she saw the blood as Tom and Alice tried to help Janie.

"I'm on my Is," Ashley replied over the intercom.

If Dmitri detected any of Sierra's attitude, he never let on," Please, hurry! Copy my powers so we can get there faster!" Dmitri's feet seemed to discharge energy and he blasted away towards the beach house.

Kristian lookoed at Sierra," I know you're upset, but saving a friend is more important than a litlle quiet time, isn't it? Besides, if you fly us there, you get to hold me in your arms." Kristian smirked.

Isamu could feel the impact of Dmitri landing on the deck outside," Come on Isamu, we have to go!" Dmitri shouted

Tom casts his eyes towards Beth for a moment, then turns his head to her. "It's going to be ok. I need you to stay calm."

[Dome]

Isamu couldn't wait for Ashley to come down. Checking to be sure he had his band-aid-io and if not grabbing one, he walks out to Dimitri. "How would be best to travel?"

[Mierin]

Alice winces at Beth's scream, worried it would draw other people to the scene. Looking at Tom, she says "Go calm her down." To Jason, she says, "Help me with keeping Jane from bleeding out, please."

Tom waits for Jason to replace him before going to Beth.

Si picks up Kristian and mimic's Dimitri's mode of travel. 'i know. i wanted to be greedy a little more. i'm sorry. but i'm NOT taking this blanket off. my top was in the water and i lost it now. will have to walk the beach in the early morning to see if it washes up i guess'

Sierra comes to a polite landing and lets Kristian down and continues to hold the blanket firmly about her. 'especially not now'. *she stays behind Kristian and adjusts the blanket slightly, 'anytime. oh and i've got Arc ready to talk. just need an okay to set up a safe house for his family and protective custody. i already got them out. it's in my paperwork .. thats still unread in the kitchen i bet. don't worry, it's not that important i guess. it can wait till later'

[dakota]

Jason walked backwards away from the man lying on the sidewalk, before taking Tom's place, he said," show me what I have to do."


Beth was sobbing with her hands over her face as she was backing away towards the house," why is all of this happening?"

Dmitri took off his shirt and offered it to Sierra before hooking Isamu under the arms and blasting off. Kristian looked at sierra and the shirt," quick, put it on before they get out of your range. and stop being modest, I like the view."

Tom places Jason's hands over the wounds. "Just hold it, make the pressure even and steady." as he goes over to Beth. "it's going to be ok."

[shiivster]

'then you hold the shirt Kristian. i gotta get in the air' *Si scoops him up and blasts off following. her blanket finally lands in a heap on the deck after they're out of sight. 'oh great now the neighbours are gonna talk. rockets blasting off porches and blankets falling from the skies.

*with a little twist and adjustment here in flight and a change in the hold there, the shirt is on at least. 'much better than the blanket. i'll just go look for my things later, think the tide was going out?' *with that said she speeds along after Dimitri without another word

[dakota]

"okay? OKAY?" Beth was near hysterical. " Tom, I've been kidnapped, vandalized and had an attempted murder in my front yard and I'm supposed to beleive things are okay? I'm waiting for someone to napalm my house next!"

Jason swallowed, glancing back at the man on his side," Let me take her home Alice. We gotta get away from that guy. I don't know his name, but I know it was him that did this. And he doesn't work alone."


" I don't know, Si," Kristian continued to try to lighten her mood," I kinda liked being wrapped up in a blanket with you. "

as they pulled aside Dmitri and Isamu, a bolt of green energy arced passed them from a rooftop.

Tom holds on to Beth. "It's not going to be easy, but you have to hang in there. We're going to take care of things."
