Beth was starting to hyperventilate. She pulled an inhaler from her pocket and used it, seeming to help. " How can you be so positive? Thi..thi.. thi...," she was so upset, she couldn't manage to put together what she was trying to say so she wrapped a tight embrace around Tom's chest and sobbed.

Alice considers this and shakes her head. "Dmitri went to get Kristian so if we left now we'd be returning to an empty base." Looking at the man Jason was looking at, she asks, "And who does he work with?"

'as much as i wanna go flatten that one .. we need to get to Janie instead. can we go any faster?' *she hollars in Dimitri's direction.
*assumes she was going to fast for a proper ID of the meta [but just in case - nat 11 before any possible bonuses]

" He's a merc. Does wetwork for whoever meets his teams price. Not cheap either." Jason said, struggling to do what he was supposed to.
Beth was a basket case now, unable to function at all and merely held onto Tom.
Sierra and Isamu could see the car ahead, when Si suddenly felt another meta presence. At the same time, Isamu noticed a red dot appear above his head on Dmitri's chest.

Isamu yells up at Dimitri as load as he can, "DIVE NOW! SOMEONE IS TARGETING US!"

Isamu/Sierra
Dmitri looks at Isamu with a puzzled look before cursing out loud and diving down. Isamu feels the wind whistling as the bullet just misses them. Dmitri immediately calls in to the radio, as they continue to head to where Janie and the others are. "Heads up, people! We've got a sniper in the area!" Dmitri glances over at Sierra and nods at her question and speeds up, trying to keep an eye out for any potential shootings. Kristian asks Sierra "Can you pinpoint where the new meta is so one of the group on the ground can try to find them?"
Tom
Alice looks concerned at Jason's reply and then more concerned when she hears Dmitri's radio call. Nodding at Jason, she says "They should be here momentarily. We'll heal up Jane enough so she won't bleed to death and get her back to the base."
Alice turns to Tom, who is still comforting Beth who seems to be starting to calm down, still sniffling a little, and asks him "If this person has a gun, could you sense any metal on them?"

"Oh what was I thinking. " Jason said " It must be the assassin's teammates. Pretty sure they work in fours. Sniper, spotter, assassin and sabo... Beth, come here, please. I need you to help." He looked at Tom when Alice was looking and mouthed the word BOMB and motioned towards the house.
Sierra could then feel two more metas, one up high at her extreme edge of her range, the other on the ground moving away from the house. Gremlin was also down there somewheres, behind the house everyone was in front of.
Isamu caught a look at the sniper, who was trying to line up on Kristian this time.

Isamu yells to Kristian, "take evasive action." He points the sniper out to Dimitri and says simply, "throw me at him."

Tom winces, and becomes a barrier as best he can. He extends a magnetic field to repel anything coming their way.

*her head swivels up then she spins to the side and keeps her body between the bullet and Kristian 'one is up there somewhere, i can barely feel it and one is heading away from the others. Gremlin's there behind the house as well ... '
*she looks at Dimitri and Izamu and tries to figure out what's going on. she can't identify any of the signatures, other than Gremlin at this moment. 'what do i do?'

Even as Sierra felt something glance off her shoulder, Kristian was excitedly telling her, "Get us down there Si. The others can handle whoever is shooting."
Dmitri vectored so he was coming around towards the rooftop when Isamu felt Dmitri's grip release," Bombs away." The sniper was too busy trying to line up sierra again to notice.
Deci and Avi were closing up quick when Avi shouted," DECI! LOOK OUT!" On another rooftop, the telltale contrail of a missile launch streaked away from a lone figure towards them.
As Beth got into the car, Jason looked at her and spoke plainly. " You have to help Alice so Tom and I can go back inside. These people are known for blowing things up to hide evidence they were here."
Beth went pale, but nodded and put her hands where Jason's had been. Jason turned to Alice," We'll find it in plenty of time," and gave her a quick kiss before climbing out of the car and heading towards the house," Come on Tin Man. We've got a bomb to find."
