Richardson nods at the dogboy.
He points out which boat should serve as the hull. He detaches both engines and has Socrates help him switching them. He says little as he begins working on the good engine, trying to identify whats wrong with it and which parts need to be gutted from the other engine. He looks at both the wiring and the mechanical parts.

Janxi grabs the engines with little strain, knowing even a strong human and dogboy would be stressed to carry a full engine block. She carried the motor to where Richardson directs, putting it down with little more stress than if carrying a sack of groceries. "Lemmie know if you need me to lift it when you mount it."
The broken engine went to the broken boat.

The doctor leans over to check on the child knowing full well that it is pneumonia and that drugs are probably the number one thing that needs to be done, but perhaps her own powers can help. "OK. I will need some time to help this young lady and some stuff from my bag." As she puts down her bag and starts going through her bag for some anti-biotics. She waits to see if the time she will need will be granted. "You may have to ask the captain if there is time that I require to help this child?"

"Cantcha jus give her a shot and some tablits or somethin?" Tori asked.
She could do field dressings. If an operator was in pain, she could hit them with some morphine. She could splint a broken bone. She could even handle a pressure bandage. Getting someone over a major respiratory disease was well beyond her skill set. She sighed, realizing that Autumn needed what she would need, and Tori was better off helping or staying out of the way.
"Alright, I'll talk to Capt'n Sam and see what she is willing to give ya. I dunno how long that there boat work is gonna take, but I think Janxi's right. We don't need to be tarryin' 'round here if we can help it."
Tori went over to Sam to report. "Doc says the kid gots pneumonia, and wants to know when you wanna move out. She told me to tell you she may need a little time to put her right. What say you, sir?"

Sam looks a little frustrated given that she was standing within hearing distance of where Autumn and the child are. "Thank you." she says to Tori, before turning to Autumn, "Doctor, report to me directly. How much time do you need?" Turning to Richardson, she then asks "How long do you think it'll take to get the repairs done?"

Tori's tail swished as she wondered why she was sent to deliver a message when Autumn was in earshot of Sam. She turned around to look at Autumn, and waited for the answer as well. Humans were nothing like cats, and could never be direct. It was probably why they inserted hundreds of miles from their objective on a lightning rescue operation. Nothing much made sense anymore.

"Too be sure she will recover at least 8 hours, but yes I can just give her a shot and hope she survives. If I can have as long as the repairs will take then I will be fine." The doctor says while secretly being annoyed. But she still pulls out the antibiotics she needs and turns to the child. "I am sorry this might hurt a little.." Before she depresses the needle into her arm. Then turning back to the rest, "I will need some time to use a power to heal her a little faster and the rest of the time will be to make sure she gets over the hump and possibly recover my personal reserver."

Tori sat down, removed her gauntlets and licked her paws. She did not like being the middle-cat, and elected to stay out of the politics. She paid attention to her paws, licking them clean, then pranced back to the little girl, and curled at her feet, seeming to fall asleep. But then again, how deeply did a cat sleep?
Her snore sounded line a rrr-rrr-rrr... Janxi, and those with a hint about feline behavior understood it was something other than a sleep. She was guarding.

It turned out that Doc Santiago had nearly that long to wait on the other rebuilding the boat to running order. By the time Richardson, Socrates and Janxi got the replacement motor in place, the sun was starting to set
Nala had left, but returned," There are buildings we use when father has guests from other clans. He has agreed to let you stay there the night for helping the child." She glanced back at the village," It is large enough, so take your boat with you , she suggested, almost like a warning.
Rahne couldn't stop thanking Autumn, even as Nala herded her back towards the village.
Shep glanced at the buildings the girl had pointed out," First light we head out?"

Tori crawled to her feet and made a large show of yawning, as most cats had a wide lazy streak. She inspected the boat slowly and climbed to the coxswain's chair. "What about fuel? We're gonna need a reserve." She said to Nala. "I'm sure we can swap ya somethin'."
She began to run through a checklist, checking the rudders tested the engine with a warmup. "Janxi on the bowline! Stand by to cast off! Spots, you and Soc on the bow. Shep and Richardson amidships! Y'all watch our flanks! Capt'n Sam and Autumn astern, if you please! Capt'n, you're my navigator and tell me where to go."
She got the engine up to idle speed. For now, she waited for the rest of the team to board. Her plan was to put-put over to the buildings indicated. She hoped Nala or Rahne would deliver a little gas to make sure they didn't end up paddling in the middle of a dinosaur-infested part of the Glades.

Sam smiles politely at Nala and says "We appreciate your village's hospitality in letting us stay the night. Please thank the Elders for us." When Tori mentions that they might need a fuel reserve, Sam nods and tells her "That's smart thinking." Turning to Nala, she asks, "Is that a possibility? Or is there a place we can get some fuel, if it isn't?"
Sam nods at Shep and says, "Yes. We've had far too many delays on this trip already." Being dropped down in the middle of a hurricane and being so far off their target was a bad way to start off a mission. 'Let's hope we can pick up the pace from here on.' Sam thinks to herself as she grabs her gear and gets onto the boat, and calls out. "Come on, people. We haven't got all night. Let's get moving."

Finished with the heavy lifting, Janxi was at the boat's side, with a Sharpie in hand. She was trying hard to christen the boat with a name, but knew little about letters and words. In script akin to a kindergartener's, she painstakingly wrote out a name as well as she could, being entirely illiterate while Richardson handled the fine work of fixing throttle cables and other controls to the engine.
"33v uv biztrukshun"She wrote. It was childlike and simplistic , but sounded out, the message was nothing remotely childish. "Eve of Destruction."
At Tori's firing up of the motor, she hopped up and boarded. She stood at the bow, ready to untie the bowline from the dock's cleat. "Aye aye, T. Ready to cast off!"

All Autumn says to the person is "Your Welcome!" Even as she is herded towards the village. She has a feeling in the back of her head that this will be a long night of medical care giving to the villagers in general, but also realizes that she can not use all the supplies she has to take care of everyone there. As such she starts running through her head a natural means if any that will be needed or used and also asks, "Is there any medical supplies in the town?"

Socrates lifted himself onto the boat, taking the suggested position. This time, he was lower, looking a little more combat ready. He would be happy to be free of the magic energies in this town, and into the general ambient energies of the forests and swamps.

Janxi took a seat at her assigned position and readied her rifle. Even if it was a short hop, she needed to be serious. But the kitten in her got in the way she looked back at Tori, still giggling about the boat's name, then she realized, even if her spelling was perfect, which she didn't expect to be, and her penmanship wasn't akin to a 5-year-old human cub's, Tori still couldn't read it probably. She harkened back to an old protest song, embraced by marines beyond the gulf of time, and sang loudly to overcome the engine noise. She had no clue what the song was really about, but knew it was nihilistic. She liked that about protest music.
"The eastern world, it is exploding Violence flarin', bullets loadin' You're old enough to kill, but not for votin' You don't believe in war, but what's that gun you're totin' And even the Jordan River has bodies floatin'
But you tell me Over and over and over again, my friend Ah, you don't believe We're on the eve of destruction."
