"Better than a slow boat to China." Shep commented as he was the last to board the boat, his helmet slow to go on.
As the motor roared and they pulled away, Nala and Rahne waved goodbye, under the watchful eye of her father's guard.
Too loud to talk outside of the helmet radios, Shep opened his pack to reveal a suprise. He pulled out a large bag of dried meat he had bartered from old Abraham and offered to share some of the jerky after taking a good size piece for himself.
