Fired or retired employees of new tech and Regault, possibly a few dead ones might shed light." he was starting to sense something more to this. Possibly Industrial Espionage as a basic motive, but that was simple. Why involve the police at all?

Miranda listens quietly to the conversation going on around her, feeling a little lost as to what is going on. Not wanting to appear stupid, she stays quiet but nods at Tharsis's idea that Kendal may have been a smoke screen to hide what was really going on.
