"And yet." Troubleshooter says. "They must have him doing something important, or they wouldn't have sent a lawyer. So, do we let him do what he's doing? Or, do we put him in jail as a patsy?"

Power Armour turns the screen for Arcadian to see. The searches focus around an organization named NewTech, and a person named Orvis McPhee. "Ohhh, Now I get it. I know this guy!"
After a second, Power Armour starts googling again. "He was some kind of engineer in nano-technology. I remember going to an E3 and he was there talking about nano-tech game implants. Like we need them..."
(Kendall)
The door knocks. The officer gets up with the polite "Excuse me a moment. Any of you want to get coffee?" And, after getting a response (yes, know, specific fingers raised, what have you), heads out of the room.
The lawyer turns down the coffee, but doesn't say anything, just scribbling.

"Nanites?" he says "Aster, a Psi-tech in my reality, worked with those. He could do some frightening stuff. the 'Trench coated crusader'...er Trouble Shooter will want know about this 'Orvis McPhee' and 'new Tech'." he looked at the monitor and typed his own search on a different computer.
"Let's see what we can find. You said they were into Implants? I wonder they have any affiliation with the medical community?" he typed up 'New tech, Orvis McPhee, Medical' in the search engine.

Arcadian and Power Armour return just as the interrogating officer walks in.
(The team)
Just as Arcadian and PA arrive, the officer gives his report. "He's not going to budge on his innocence. And his lawyer is stonewalling us. I see your concerns, but unless we have something to charge him with, we're going to have to let him walk."
Troubleshooter nods. "What did you two find out?" He asks Arcadian and Power Armour.
(Kendall)
The lawyer looks at him. "They're digging a deeper hole." He says. "We won't be able to kick our way out. Whatever terms they give you, accept them with good graces. If you challenge them, they will charge you with obstructing an investigation. They will also keep an eye on you for the next few days, so keep to your usual business for a little while."

Kendall leans closer to the lawyer, looks him in the eye and says, "I've been playing tough because I don't like being arrested for not doing anything wrong. But I need to know what the hell is going on. I can very easily explain why to them. I was told this was all legit and not illegal, and here I sit in an interrogation room. You know what I'm inclined to do, the moment they let me out, I think i may head for Regault to sit down and have a conversation with our boss."

"The Regault Foundation is not involved in any urgent matters. Certainly not anything clandestine. This is all a misunderstanding by the police, right?" The lawyer says. "Keep in mind that misunderstanding take time to sort themselves out, even when done actively. You will have to be patient with this. And you do have your own business to take care of, right?"

Arcadian hands a file to Trouble Shooter, "seems likely they may want know how PA's Armour Works. If they know he's Meta..it explains the interest in him. Organic Cybernetics and nanites could be a goal." Arcadian stopped and let Trouble shooter read the file.
"Its a lead worth checking. I think PA may have a few sources on this one. He spotted the link from an event he attended...E3 or something." the Magician looks through the mirror, "How did the interrogation go? anything exciting?" he asked.

The Cop looks at the group. "I can ask him about it. We haven't quite let him go. All we have is circumstance, unless he slips up."
Troubleshooter nods, looking to see if the group wants to take the risk.
"Well, Heavens to Betsy." SPM says. "This is getting to be a golly big thing, now."
"All this for little old me." Says Power Armour.

After waiting Patiently for a few minutes Kendall says to the lawyer, "whats taking so long? I'm really ready to get out of hear."

"Maybe we should see if makes contact with anyone hooked up to 'New Tech' first it would give us reason to bring him in....Us busting Charity and private businesses won't look pretty." Arcadian was still in his Venders outfit. Spotting mustard spot he frowned dabbing it with a cloth.

"We'll let him walk, then." Troubleshooter says, not sure he wanted to. "But keep him around town."
The officer nods.
(Back with Kendall)
"Sorry." Says the officer, sitting down, a cup of coffee in hand. "Line up."
Taking a savouring sip, he says, "Anything else you want to tell me before we move to the next step in this?" He asks, evenly, not giving anything away.

"Alright." Says the officer, closing the file. "You're not being held any longer, but your release is under conditions." Leaning forward. "You are still a person of interest, and are not allowed to leave the district. We may need to contact you in the future."
"And Mr. Kendall's belongings?" Says the lawyer. "If he is allowed the go, he should not be impeded from running his daily life."
"Your work tools and truck will be returned to you." The officer says. "We are still working on your computer, and it will be returned at a later date, if no evidence of wrongdoing are found."
(The Team)
"Good, he's keeping the computer. It'll give us enough time to follow up on this Newtech stuff." Troubleshooter says. "Let's get on it."
