Ch 6: Tracking a Tracking Tracker (All)

[Dome]

"I've done some work for them in the past. What does that matter?"

(Kendall and those watching)
(GM OCC: we'll assume if I don't have the lawyer answer, Kendall's free to say what he wants.)

"Interesting." The officer said. "What work?"

"My client has performed some small favours, telecommunications wiring and such, in gratitude for the assistance Regault provided him." the Laywer answered, quickly. "I do not see how a few small favours under the table are related to the charges."

"Well, you see, we think it is." The officer says. "What kind of work have you done for the Regault foundation, Mr. Kendall?"

Arcadian and Power Armour uncover that the Regault Foundation is a relatively new charitable agency that provides cybernetic organ and limb replacements to those in need. They also perform research on bio-systems, with a stated goal to make bionics more human. There are mentions, too, to counselling for those who got cybernetics against their will.

[kurff]

"Explains his interest in you..." Arcadian added, "Look at who they helped and who funds them. Someone has to donates to them and check net to see what the media says about them." he asked as he looked over any if found them.

"I'll try the Micro-fiche." he looked a projector.

[Dome]

"Again I ask what does that matter? You going to make up charges against them too?"

Kendall looks at the lawyer as he answers then looks back at the cop. He says, "Regault has daughter companies, I did some telecom work for one of their companies. You have me here, I'm sure you seen I have no criminal record. I'm also sure that you have my military record, at least the part that's declassified anyway. I was trained in the military to do telecom work, radio, satellite communication. I'm also sure you've gone through my van and seen the tools and equipment that I have. You tell me what kind of work you think I have been doing."

(Kendall and those watching)

"Well, that is what we're here to discuss." The officer says. "Naturally, witholding information that may get you out of trouble isn't wise."

(Arcadian)
"Yeah, but I'm not a cyborg..." Power Armour says, idly tapping keys, still tracking public information on Regault, almost navigating a maze. "It's not like I set off metal detectors. Well, when I look normally, I mean."

[Dome]

"I'm not withholding anything. I answered your question. I did some some telecom work for them. As you have figured out by now, I have some "alterations" you might call them. I was injured, Regault set me up with some implants. I heard there is a new wave of tech regarding these implants coming out in the near future. When I asked about them, someone pointed me in the direction of Mr. Hangar. You know Cliff. Oh, maybe you know him as Power Armor, I just found out that was his other identity. The guy has two identities."

Kendall smiles and looks at the mirror over the cops shoulder. "Hey trenchcoat, why aren't you in here questioning me? You seemed to be full of questions at Mr. Hangar's, I mean Power Armor's apartment. You remember the address is (he reads off the address)."

He looks back at the cop and says, "Tell you what why don't you tell me what you think I did wrong, and I will tell you if your right or not."

He looks over the cop's shoulder again and says, "or why don't you speak up trenchcoat."

Back to the cop, "I assume trenchcoat has a code name too like Power Armor's, but I didn't get that or his real name like I did with Cliff Hangar."

After rambling on without giving the cop a chance to talk for several minutes he gets an idea. He focuses on the two way mirror and tries to use his telescopic vision to see through it. Not sure if that will work or not, Kendall has basically decide he isn't going to be looking at the cop anymore and focuses instead on the mirror.

(OOC: Assuming Mirror since you said a standard interrogation room. If'n I'm wrong, let me know.)

(It's a set of cameras, actually, like in X-Men 3 when they interrogate Mystique)

Kendal gets a nice view of the cameras.

(Those watching)

"Well, what do you think?" Troubleshooter asked Windchill and Tharsis. "It seems odd that he'ld just be poking around out of curiousity."

(Kendall and those watching)
"You didn't mention the new implants coming while out at the house/apartment (place)." The officer said. "Who pointed you toward Power Armour?"

(Arcadian)
"Huh, here I am again." Power Armour says, looking at a window in his screen. "They must have hooked up Kendall's computer for diagnostics."

[Dome]

"You really wanna know? I was sitting in my truck, some guy hopped into the passenger side, hands me a file and takes off. Didn't get much conversation with him."

[kurff]

"That's why they like you...You naturally do what they want to. Only with out the Cybernetics. At this point it seems the only real theory." Arcadian wondered what Paragon would do with such a power and shivered.

"a natural biological answer to the Cyborg. what advantages..." he thought.

[dakota]

Tharsis looked at Troubleshooter. " I'm starting to think we grabbed a patsy. But this Regault foundation is starting to worry me."

Troubleshooter nods, quietly.

(Kendall and those watching)
"But you said you were looking for them, and then some stranger happens to give you a name for what you wanted, hmm?"

"I think we've had enough time with this." The laywer says. "You do not have substantial evidence to lay any charges. My client has a livelihood, and would like to return to that."

The officer turns to Kendall.

(Arcadian)
"Yeah, maybe. This guy's been looking for a while... look at these, college Obits, engineers... All around a specific name..." Power Armour says.

[kurff]

"A name? Lets check the name it might be give us something." he closed the file he was looking at.

[Dome]

"I know it sounds weird doesn't it? I thought so too, but the guy didn't stick around to explain himself. I tell you what I'll do, give me your cell number, if he ever shows up again I'll have him give you a call."

[dakota]

" Yeah right." Tharsis muttered ." If he falls for it, we'll have to track this guy down all over again, he won't call."

[Mierin]

Windchill nods as she listens to the conversation. "I agree that this foundations seems to be the bigger threat."
