Joshua looked at Duke, " You need to spring for the extended model next time, with the extra row of seating."

When everyone is in the ATV, and moving, Socrates finds a seat, putting the rifle in a safe place.
"You do know that my ID is the first thing I'm trained to give at an interrogation." Socrates says to Davis. "But, I do know where you're coming from. In any event, you can trust Sam. She is a very good leader."

Takes off his helmet for the first time and looks around at the crowded crew compartment. His eyes fasten on Duke for a moment and he stares before turning to Soc.
"Soc you and I both know what our first responsibility is in any interrogation, but I memorized our squads vital information before we left. Trust me when I say that number would be hard for even some of the best to remember, but you would know it without pause. I knew when you gave it to me without skipping a beat that my chances were good it was really you. I just needed some reassurance is all, bud."
After a moment he turns to Sam, "Private Jonathan Davis, Sir. I don't have any clue how I can be of assistance here, but I will do whatever you need me to do. Have no fear about me being led by a female officer either, Sir. I have no illusions about what gender bias makes a good officer or not."
He then gets as comfortable as he can and leans his head back closing his eyes, but keeping the rest of his senses trained for anything out of the ordinary.

At the 'gender bias' statement, Shep snickered, only to be elbowed by Rhys who gave him a ' shut up' look before smirking himself. It was apparent that the two of them were becoming close friends.

Sam resists the urge to roll her eyes at the new private after his comment about gender bias and simply nods with a slight smirk. "Welcome aboard. I'm Lt Sam Fraser. Pull your weight and you'll do fine." Turning to Duke, she says "Let's make a hasty exit before we run into anything or anyone else."

As the group gets settled, Socrates stretches out with his feelings, making sure there's no supernatural powers about.

As the Mountaineer started to move, Socrates could feel nothing but the sense of death about the village.
Shep took the iniative with the newest pickup, glancing at Sam first, " So, what's your story kid? Just another lost sheep like the pup?" He motioned to Socrates.

For Socrates, this was his chance to confirm Davis's identity.

While Davis got ready to talk, Socrates stayed calm and attentive to his psychic senses. The last thing they needed was an ambush.

(OOc.. looks like we've lost Rysil and Chrom, so I'm gonna push on finally)
Once Davis gave his tale of how he escaped the attack that had seperated him from Socrates and the squad, then how the villagers had found him and nursed him back to health. He had been hidden away during the attack and only came out when things quieted down. To Soc, the story concurred with what he had remembered.
Rhys and Shep looked at one another, with Rhys speaking first," It took a sizable amount of firepower to wipe out that village, LT. The villagers were caught offguard or we would have seen more of them away from the houses."
Shep nodded," and Socrates would sense some of them in the woods watching us, there would have been some escape."
