"Private John Davis is a member of my team. We were ambushed, and I thought I was the only survivor. If he is alive, we should make sure we can bring him home as well, sir." Socrates says, quickly, mking sure he doesn't look at any one person, when speaking, especially when saying 'sir'. Snipers, you know.

Sam nods at Socrates. "I'm guessing if you can detect him, that means he is nearby? We'll pick him up on our way out of town then. Just lead us to where he is."

Begins making his way through the burned out mess of the Cactus Peoples town. His every thought wondering why this voilence was really that necessary. He keeps low and moves as quietly as he can in his (Consider the role failed) Armor. He tries very hard to be aware of his surroundings as he moves down towards the center of the village. Perception roll 20=20

overhearing the conversation via his bionic amplified hearing, Duke swept over their surroundings, scanning the area with his bionic multi-optic eyes as he was going through the warm-up cycle and start-up sequence for the mountaineer. perception 1d20=5

Socrates nods, and takes point infront of the Mountaineer, sniffing and wandering trying to find Davis.

To Duke's amusement, he catches a flimpse of someone in Deadboy armor trying to sneak through the village, sticking out like a sore thumb.
Davis couldn't see who was with it, but he could see the top of the Mountaineer on the far edge of the village.
Socrates could smell Davis ahead, and overheard Shep speak to Sam," LT, if we keep this up, we'll pick up enough strays to make a full squad."

Seeing the Mountaineer, Davis goes to ground and tries to get down behind some cover, praying like mad he wasn't spotted. He sets up his Plasma cannon on some debris to stablize it before pulling a few Plasma grenades from his belt and dropping them on the ground. He then takes some loose string and ties the pins together, and wedges the grenades firmly under the debris. Then he gets up and trails the string behind him and moves to another spot of cover.
From that spot he keeps the string clasped firmly in his left hand and resting the Plasma cannon on some debris he takes careful aim at the Mountaineer tracking it for just the right moment. He hopes and prays that these aren't some Monsterous D-Bees that he can't take down quickly. Then he waits.

Socrates waves for the team to move ahead on Davis's position, moving to the side of the Mountaineer for cover, in case the situation was a trap. He pulls out his rifle at the ready, as well. (Note, he is armoured in CS environmental DB armour (with the helmet up so he can sniff).)
Socrates had ignored Shep's comment, since getting Davis to the group was more important than telling Shep why he was wrong. Also, the mere fact he felt he had to say it to a human was a little wrong. He was made to serve them, not harrangue them.

Unlike most humans Socrates had worked with, both Shep and Rhys took his direction without question and started to approach Davis' position.

Sam smirks at Shep and nods. "But let's be cautious." she instructs everyone "if this guy thinks he is the only one of his squad to have survived whatever happened, he's probably really nervous about anyone who might come looking for him."

"Should I just call his name?" Socrates asks. "It works for humans, too, right?"

Duke groaned "I'll just hold position with Alice (his mountaineer), an' wait here in case you need back up or pick up and extraction" hearing Shep "see? it ain't jus' me who takes in strays" shooting a glance at Tyneer.

" Yes, it must be contagoius. soon we'll be up to our armpits in Coalition at this rate." Joshua chuckled.
" If he recognizes you, it might work." Shep replied to Socrates. " Either way, we should soon get out of this village."
