No. It can't be. Sure does sound like him.
Soc? Is that you?
He knows he gave his position away, but at the same time he really hopes this isn't some trick. Either way if they come over here and turn out to be tricking him they are in for one nasty surprise.
I am over here Soc.
He stays down behind cover and waits until they get closer.

Sam nods at Shep. "Let's do this quickly." She hated agreeing with Shep so much, mostly out of principle. However, he wasn't wrong about them needing to leave the area as soon as they were able to. As they head closer, she watches the sensors, trying to keep an eye out for any signs of traps. (Read sensory equipment: 32% out of 40%)

Socrates proceeds closer, becoming clearly visible. "Not to rush you, sir, but we do need to leave, in a hurry." He says to Davis.

Seeing that it really is Soc he draws a bead on him with his plasma cannon and says,
"Gimme your Name, Rank, & PH number, Soc. Lord knows I want it to be you, but I ain't playing games here. While you're at it tell me who's in the ATV."
His fingers grip tight around the line to the grenades and he prepares to pull and run if this is some sort of D-bee trick.

Seems to listen to Soc's words in earnest and then replies in a nice even tone.
"Answer my Questions Soc or so help me I will fight to the death. I am not about to be fooled by some D-Bee trick and taken Prisoner again."
With that he keeps the Rifle trained on Soc and prepares to fire.

Socrates sighed. Davis was being obstinate, and putting the rest of the team in danger. Well, except this Trassk fellow. Danger seemed to be put in him most of the time... clearing his says , "You are putting others are risk by waiting, sir."
Turning his head he looks over at Sam. "He is being too obstinate. We may need to come back for him."

Sam resists the urge to sigh. "Then give him the information he wants, at least in regards to yourself and that we're a Coalition unit." She then adds "Let's not go any closer. Given from what he is saying, we have no idea what kind of booby traps he is setting and I, for one, don't want to get blown up today."

Dutifully, Socrates gives Davis what he asks for, in terms of his own official identification. Why does he not realize that this is the same information I'ld be giving during an interrogation? It's not exactly secure. He thinks. Hopefully it is all he needs.

Sighs with relief...At least his information was correct. As for the others he still prayed he wasn't walking into a trap. But considering he had no idea where he was and he was alone this was his best option. Visions of his mother's death and his capture at the hands and claws of D-bee bandits in the Lone Star Territory briefly flashed behind his eyes. He got up and walked over to where he had set the booby trap and unfastened the string with his survival knife. He stowed them on his bandoleer and headed the next few feet to Soc.
As they walked towards the Mountaineer he turned to Soc and said, "Soc, I am sorry for pushing so hard on that, but I really don't want to get caught in some trap by shapeshifting D-Bees. So who are these folks really?"

Shep interrupted before Socrates could reply. " We can do the formalities on board once we get moving. All you need to know for now is you've been picked up by a black ops team in the middle of a mission that you're gonna get dragged along on. Now let get going already."
