Fear overtook the boy, causing him to panic. Driving his elbow into Rhys' breastplate, he shrugged out from the loosened grip and bolted past Mendez and Ellie. Watching Dyson to see if he's going to cut him off, the boy slammed headlong into Mikey's silent approach and knocking himself flat. Slightly dazed, He looked up at the borg." Mikey?"

Mendez looks puzzled for a moment and looks from the kid to mikey;" Mikey do you know this kid?" to the kid;" is sargeant shepard the man your talking about?"

Rhys starts to draw his CP-30 when the kids smacks headlong into Mikey, he releases his grip on the weapon and arches a brow looking to the Borg to answer the Col's question.

Ellie stares at Mikey then back to the boy. She has a quizical look as she waits for an answer from Mikey.

Mikey pulls off his helmet as he helps the boy up. Leaning down to check him over, he grins. " Hiya kiddo."
He looked up to the others, scruffing the boys hair " Yeah, I know Daryn. Shouold've known it was him. And yes, he's talking about Shep."

Dyson turns from his scanning when he hears the kid start running and sees him just as he hits Mikey.
After hearing Mikey's answer to the rest of the squads question Dyson unlatches his his helmet so he can talk more easily, but leaves it on his head and says in a deadpan voice " Mikey, I don't like tromping around in the middle of no-where with things trying to kill me and
I don't have the scoop on whats really happening, so could you please cut the crud and tell us whats going on with you and Shep?". After he finishes speaking Dyson closes his helmet.

Rhys arches a brow then mutters under his breath "Wow he speaks more then three words" as he looks to the borg awaiting an answer to the question.

" Up yours, Sarge. At least I didn't walk us into an ambush by a kid. Some point man you are." Snapped Mikey, adjusting the shoulder sling of his rail gun. " Daryn's village is just up the trail. We've been stopping there to rest on patrol since we've been operating out here, and Shep has been helping them out when he can in exchange for intel. I didn't say anything cuz I expected Shep to catch up before we got to the village and I'd let him explain."

Dyson walks up to Daryn and Mikey and says, looking at Daryn " If Shep and Mikey were helping your village why were you taking shots at us, There Coalition soldiers, we're Coalition Soldiers, what was the point?"

Daryn shrugged his shoulders. " I thought you were those other Coalition soldiers coming back. I can usually get away from them without any trouble. You guys got lucky I fell when I got hit."

Ellie begins to looks around as they start to ask Daryn more questions. "Sir," she says to Mendez " shouldn't we have this conversation in a more secure area?" She has a slight uneasy feeling, being so farther away from the coalition teritories than shes used to.
