*note, environmental armor will be cycling fresh air untill toxins are present in the air. otherwise you would have to constantly be replacing air canisters.*
Mendez aproaches Rhys and hand signals the party to hold position and take cover. ( What does he see, he also uses his cyber optics. cycling through the full spectrum. ending with passive night vision. also uses his advanced cyber- audio sensors to check if he can hear anything.)

Gantry approaches the colonel,
"Perhaps we should get off the trail if we are close enough to smell their fires. We can approach them through the woods, making it harder for us to be detected."

The path winds up and over a slight ridge, blocking view of the source of the smoke. Mikey's fidgeting seems to be getting worse as he keeps watching back the trail behind him " I knew I should have gone with him..." He mumbles.
Before the Colonel replied, a single shot echoes through the forest. A thud against Rhys armor grabs his attention, but it leaves no damage as a bullet ricochets harmlessly to the ground.
When everyone looks in the direction of the shot(just off to the right of the trail) , you spy a lone figure atop a large boulder. Before anyone can react, the figure flashes a rude gesture at the squad, and drops behind the rock.

Not at first, but it trips, the moment before the shot is heard
(OOC- Just remember Sen, you nitpick me, I'll take it out on Calvin ;D)

Rhys looks in the direction of the bullet and zooms in on the figure.
(Before I finish this action. how far is the figure/rock from me?)

when my sixth sense goes off he should still be on the rock right? And since I get a free action I want to know if I can put up a TK Force Field enclosing him on top of the rock so that he cant get off the rock. kind of like a TK bubble leaving him open to us  Tag Dakota |

Rhys (along with anyone else who does the same), easily makes out the lone figure to be humanoid, though shorter than average height. It's armor makes it hard to tell anything else from it's back. The rifle it carries, on the other hand, is easy to identify as an old bolt action hunting rifle before it drops from view.

Before I finish this action. how far is the figure/rock from me?
Roughly 1500 feet
I want to know if I can put up a TK Force Field enclosing him on top of the rock so that he cant get off the rock. kind of like a TK bubble leaving him open to us
Well outside of the range for that sort of attack ( +/-40ft?), but good idea

Rhys moves with his lithe grace towards the boulder cautiously moving stealthily. Keeping his weapon at the ready as he moves.
(Prowl roll 29 out of 50% without prowl pen from armor of -20% not sure how you handle that one)

Dyson tries to stop Rhys as he starts toward the boulder, saying in a hushed but intense voice " It could be trying to draw us into a trap!".

The colonel's shot catches the figure in the shoulder just before it drops from view. Watching Rhys sneak away, Mikey shakes his head as he takes a position Mendez and Lt. Gantry. " Are all sergeants that nuts, or are we just blessed with a pair of them?"

Rhys waves off Dyson as he keeps moving and cautiously peers around the boulder weapon aimed and ready. Senses alert for any danger.

" I don't believe it! That miserable skullhead hit me!" Exclaims a panicked young voice from behind boulder as Rhys edged his way around it silently. As he peeks around the side of the rock, the figure is standing towards you, but looking their shoulder to examine the damage caused by Mendez's shot to the homemade Fury Beetle armor. " Mom is so gonna kill me this ti..." The figure trails off as he turns back and looks straight into Rhys helmet, and a terrified look fills the teenage human's face (looks 14-15). " Oh, crud ." He says in a low voice, and turns to run.

Rhys grabs the kid before he can run.
(strike roll 7+8 pp and h2h= 15)
Grabbing the kid and slamming him against the boulder, growling. "Who are you and what the hell are you doing?"
Letting rifle hang by strap as I extend vibro blade and put it near the kid's neck.

Ellie runs over to where Rhys attempts to grab the boy. "Rhys wait!" She yells to him. "He's only a boy!" Ellie being only 19 herself feels sorry for the boy. She attepts to get there as fast as she can (full sprint)
