*looks at Khris as she thinks ...o0( better a quiet walker than a loud talker that don't know when to shut up ). she just smirks and shakes the head .. not giving in to the urge to get back at him. glad for once that he's working on someone else for now.
'so boss .. what exactly or where are we gonna look? .. ' *wondering that if someone ISN'T looking for the item if it will be found. since actively looking for it hasn't had it turning up. she looks about now then up into the sky and sighs as she lowers the glasses and takes in the various constellations

Tiger is silent a moment in thought, ¨I dont think any of the soldiers have found anything yet. My conversation with the intel officer leads me to suspect they havent a clue why we are here That is good in that it keeps things simple and I also think it means we can rule out the most common places the soldiers go on the island. The main beaches, the camp, the top of the hill all must have been explored by dozens of off duty troops.¨
She thinks some more, ¨The armored group with have in place some sensors to detect incoming ships and aircraft. If the place radiated energy, it also would show up.¨
Tiger sighs, ¨It seems the best plan would be to explore the more inaccessible parts of the island on foot and look for visual clues. Jeckle, do you have a metal detector or thumper ground sonar? The rest of us will start with the places choked with vegetation far from the main camp thats the most likely place for something undiscovered.¨

' .. I can rig one up. thats what i'm good for. so .. oh i know .. reverse fit the mini par .. and hook .. ' *she mutters to herself as her hands move to one pocket after another removing an item here and tool there. with a little tinkering and the utilization of the glasses with an MP3 cord hooked to the mini parabolic with dampener on it to drown out the surrounding sound and pick up the faint ~ping~ of metal objects and the connector cord to the unit from the glasses and she nods and offers it to Tiger to have a look see with.
'i can do another one, just need another pair of glasses to work with. better working with my own things. now how the wiring works. no? .. its cool. got another pair of glasses in case .. ' *and repeats the process .. and shortly has a second unit ready to go. the second mini parabolic she had made on the last adventure seems to have found a use after all. 'musta been thinking ahead when i made them .. .. '
*she dons the other set and waits to see who she'll be paired up with or if they're gonna be wandering off all over the place.

Dante shrugs, "alright lets get to work." He pulls his sword out and starts heading for the densest area and starts chopping his way into the forest.

"Let's stick together for now. I still don't know what we are searching for but we can't rule out the possibility that it may be dangerous."
She starts a trail a few paces to Dante's left and uses her claws to slice through the under growth. "I'll take the spare, if you like," she says to Jeckle.

while the others set to work tracking and hacking threw the jungle, Khris took up a rear guard position, watching in case any of their hosts found the trail.

*nods and hands the other set to Tiger .. showing her how it basically works. 'you do that side and we should be good then. not sure how far down it will reach, but it should get at least 4 feet down' *she glances at Shroud briefly and then gets back to business of sweeping to the left of the trail*

Dante keeps his night vision up and continues hacking his way into the jungle as he looks around for anything that may stand out.

In the distance, the songs from the entertainment tent can still be heard faintly. Ionic and Strongbow are quiet. Strongbow seems fairly comfortable hacking her way through the wilderness, her well built frame strong and sure. Ionic picks his path more carefully, staying behind Tiger and Dante.
Tiger nods, "Soldiers on patrol could notice the path and it is possible they will attribute it to us, but I don't think thats a bad thing in and of itself. I'm sure everyone on this island knows by now that we are on a secret mission and I doubt they can figure out our purpose just from a trail. In fact they may suspect me of trying to trick them at first, its a common covert tactic. If we find what we are looking for then there will be no problems and if we don't, there won't be any harm in them following the trail. Besides, I think the mosquitoes are worse in the daytime - they probably won't spend too much time out here."
"And I'll bet this stuff grows back pretty quickly."
After a couple of hours of hacking through the forest at night, Strongbow steps into a hole and falls in to her waist. "Ouch!" She says quietly. Once she has pulled her leg out, a tiny opening can be seen in the rock, barely big enough for a man to crawl into.
"Can you sense anything?" Tiger asks Kris, then she looks to Jeckle and then to Dante to hear their answers as well.

* Jeckle squats and raises her left arm to 'scan' the rock's small opening, she then creeps a little closer and then switches to Nightsight and thermal imaging to get a better idea of how deep it goes.
'worst comes to worst, we get the smallest person to creep about inside and find the switch to make hte door open?'
*she flips the glasses to passive nightvision again and tries to get theimage she was looking about with back again.

The passage only goes in a few feet before it starts to twist and turn. Jeckle's optics can detect only the tunnel.
Tiger doesn't need to look around at the team to respond to Jeckle, "Right, I'm sure I'm smallest. Good idea, but there may or may not be another entrance."
She glances at Kris and Dante to see if they sense anything.
O.O.C.: There are no other powerful beings about, and there is no sense of an ambush.

"Seems all clear boss. No ambush ahead." Dante looks down into the hole and says, " I don't see anything. There may be another way in, but how long will it take us to find it?"

"If there is another way in, the easiest way to find it will be from the inside," Tiger retracts her claws and prepares to climb into the hole. "Give me a minute to check it out before following me, I'd like to be able to get out quickly if I need to. You can follow me in sixty seconds."

"can i suggest that some of you continue the 'trail' away from this spot? .. and we can kinda try to avoid drawing attention to the rock? .. just a thought. misdirection and hiding in plain sight are good things'
