As the last of the cargo gets loaded, Tawfeek steers it in. To the Bridge he says, "Foreman, Apply for clearance to depart. I will be up there shortly. Also, close the cargo bay doors."
(Hydroponics) The log was old. It listed the majority of the plants. Others, it was assumed, anyone would know... cause people are like that.
(Bridge) Foreman gets the go-ahead from Tawfeek to request departure clearance.
(IN the engine room) All is ready to go.
(In the cargo hold) When the last of the cargo is secured, Tawfeek waits for the station crew to leave and for the doors to close before he heads to the bridge.

Flip closes the cargo bay doors and then contacts Station control, "This is 'The Galaxy' Requesting permission to depart."

nothing else of immediate need, McKenna continued through the logs, mainly to kill time.

Once all the cargo is brought aboard safely, Jessica exits the cargo bay and, once it's safe, gets out of her space suit before following Tawfeek to the bridge to present him with the list McKenna had given her.

(On the Bridge) Foreman receives confirmation for departure, with the bay doors closed an all that, including vectorial thingies and gyro-pitch addendums. Thinking in 3-D makes for fun.
Tawfeek arrives on the bridge and, noticing they have clearance, gives the green light to start the engines. Well, actually, he presses a green button on the console across from Foreman. Sitting down, he swivels the chair towards the pilot. "Well, Mr. Foreman, let's see military precision at its most conservative."
Jessica finds Tawfeek on the bridge with Foreman.
(In the engine room) There is a green light flashing on Arcturis's console.
(In the botany bay... Botany Bay... Botany Bay! On no Captain! We must leave, now!) The logs include mostly what was brought in, and marks next to some, others crossed out. Often different species listed, by number or Latin names. Indicative of an experiment to find the best options. With the botany files available, McKenna seems better able to figure out what's still there.
Remember, folks, skill rolls, please. ;D

He looked over the system as it started. there a few minor items that could save power and increase start up time. But all in all the engines seemed to be starting up nicely. at that he radioed the bridge.
"Engines are starting up, standby...." he called neutrally.

Foreman grips the controls and begins to direct the ship out and away from the station.
Pilot: Spacecraft: Heavy - 60% roll = 39

McKenna prints off the list and then used it to identify the few plants she knew. when she came to the out of place marijuana plant, she double checked to see if it was on the list. It didn't make alot of sense to to have with all the other meds they had on board. Unless the former crew had a habit to support.

(ON the bridge) Jessica finds herself watching as Foreman glides the ship away from the airlock and out into the major space lanes. Though, from her vantage point, she could see Tawfeek was ready to take control at any moment.
Foreman found the ship to be unexpectedly responsive in getting away from the station. "Bulk cruiser at 6 o'clock off the bow." Tawfeek says calmly, as he watched the movement of the ships. "Looks like their clearance controls are getting better since the Montelli hit that starliner a few years back, eh?"
(GM Note: Said accident cost a hundred lives, more would have died were it not for the starliner's bulkhead doors functioning. The air-traffic control system was overhauled across the system, mostly putting the holding zones further from the station. The specific traffic controller was absolved of culpability and has not left a psychiatric ward since the incident.)
(In the engine rooms) The hum of the engines were a welcome sound after Arcturis's time off from the testing range. Though, being with and engine and not one the other of a wall from it was something new.
(In the Botany Bay.. hee... yes, I promise that'll get old, soon) Without rolling skills, even ones that may be remotely related, it is hard for McKenna to tell by the kind of cannibis why it was there, or the nutritional or medicinal uses of the plants that were there.

Finally having enough, McKenna decided that she had better add some basic botany books or programs to her list if she was going to be of any use here. She went to wash up and stop wasting her time. When she was done, a thought occured to her and she went back to medlab and sat down at her computer terminal. she began searching for any useful material that could at least let het get by as the ship's gardener.
(computer operation - 52/ 57 pass) [thats the only skill she has that is even remotly of use]

Jessica walks up to Tawfeek and calmly puts a hand on his shoulder to get his attention. Once she has his attention, she hands him the list McKenna gave her. "This is the list of medical supplies McKenna made up. They're all very reasonable requests, and I think we should get everything she advises."

Tawfeek nods at Jessica as she hands over the list. Giving it a glance, he says, "Yeah, it all looks reasonable..." He pauses pursing his lips. "But it'll cost more than I have to spend. I'm sure we can get most of the basic emergency supplies at Laika, but the more expensive items may have to wait until we have a better budget to spend."
He smirks. "Should we pass a memo informing the crew to avoid getting hurt or sick until we have the supplies to treat it?"
