Snowball heads in with his nose at attention seeking out any hint of cat, mutant or otherwise, in an attempt to occupy the bunk of the battle cat Shep mentioned on the ride in. If unable to find it he searches until he finds a bunk that seems comfortable and settles in, changing his clothes and stowing his gear.

( Mendez)- The CO's allright, it's these snot nosed squad leaders you have to watch out for. They're all full of piss and vinegar, out to prove they are the next General Holmes. I'd be out of business if we'd get some quality leadership around here." Captain Younger muses as he takes a mouthful of coffee. "
(Snowball)- Shepherd pauses to let Snowball pass through the doorway. " Don't mind him , kid. Probably a dog lover." He grins and exits behind you, calling after the LT about some files he forgot were in his duffel. You easily detect the faint odor of both cat and dog on the first and third subfloors.

After changing into his civvies, Rhys heads up and out into the town looking at the shops just checking out things in general. He eventually heads to the rec area/bar.

(Mendez)- Younger gives you an odd look as he takes another mouthful of his coffee. " Up against? Let me give you a little advice, colonel. We don't worry about command structure once we hit the field around here too much. You start throwing rank around and someone's liable to forcefeed you a fusion block. Trust me, I've seen it before." He looks as though he is about to continue, but pauses to thingy an ear towards the doorway. The sounds of an approaching helicopter fill the room, and the color drains from the doctor's face as he stands. " Unscheduled chopper. Means I'm about to be busy. Excuse me,, sir." He snaps a brief salute and rushes out the door.
(Rhys)- Just as you reach the entrance of the rec center, and trio of men burst from the doorway, nearly knocking you over. The oldest pauses as the over two rush towards the command center. " Sorry son, didn't see you there. " He studies you as he backs away in the direction the others were headed.Over the steady whine of an approaching helicopter, he shouts " You must be one of the new guys in third squad. Go suit up, you guys will be headed out shortly." He looks up and turns as an Iron Eagle helicopter passes low over the base.
(Everyone else)- The sounds of the low flying helicopter echo through the barracks, grabbing you're attention. You overhear Mikey's grumbling as he turns, his cybernetic feet thumping heavily back down the stairwell. " Dammit, won't even get the noobs out on the range ."

Dyson, hearing the choppers, runs down the flight of stairs he took before and follows Rhys and Ellie down into the barracks.
he looks for the nearest unoccupied room, regardless of who else might have a room nearby, and changes into civilian clothes ( preferably overalls and any kind of shirt).
If no one talks to Dyson or tells him what to do he'll go outside the barracks and then try to run to where the choppers are landing, following the noise.

Ellie moves to the side as Dyson rushes down the hall. When she hears the choppers she quickens her pace to find her room. "Great work already," she thinks herself as she find her room and throws her things down. I guess thins means little time to unpack. She heads back up the stairs and once again moves to the side as Dyson runs passed her.
OOC Ellie will see what everyone else looks like they're doing and follow them.

Rhys rolls his eyes and turns back around and goes back to his quarters and suits up in his armor and all. Then He heads back out and moves towards the airfield to see what the hell is going on.

Snowball's ears flatten against his skull at the sound of the chopper. A slight rumble sounds in his chest as he quickens his search for the nearest room with the smell of cat and no dog smell. Upon finding a suitable room he stows his personals and leaves his other gear lying on the bunk. His ears perk back up as a sudden curious streak hits him and he decides to investigate the helicopter.

( All but Mendez)- As the group arrives at the helipad behind the command centre, the wounded are already being unloaded and taken to the infirmery. From the conversation between the orderlies, you quickly pick up that the soldiers are part of first squad. As the last gurney is taken inside, Shepherd appears in the doorway, his beer can replaced with what was once a C-14 Firebreather. His eyes betray his emotions on his otherwise focused face. He pulls the cigar butt from his teeth and tosses it aside and smirks. " Suit up folks, we get on that bird in ten. Some of the boys from first squad are still out there. We have to go get them."
He turns and starts towards the barracks, then looks back, looking at Rhys already in his armor. " Sergeant O'Niell, since you've got a headstart, go get that science officer , we wouldn't want him to miss the party. Doc said he saw him in the rec center" He turns and doubletimes it to the barracks.

Ellie instantly springs into action as Shep gives the command. She rushes down to her room and dons her armor as quickly as she can and heads back to the helopad with weapons and all
OCC shes wearing her CA-3 Armor, Vibro Knife in her boot-sheath, C-5 holstered, and Cp-40 over her sholder.

Rhys turns on his heel and heads back to look for Mendez.
(Gear: CA-7 armor, CP-50 slung over shoulder, CP-30 in shoulder style holster, MP-10 in hip holster, and vibro blade in boot, Grenades in bandoleer, )

Dyson acknowledges the command with a " Sir." and a nod. He then dashes back to the barracks at top speed, hyped on the initial Adrenalin rush.
Arriving at his room Dyson dons his CA-1 heavy armor (80 MDC) holsters his C-18 and vibro-knife in opposite sides of his hips and grabs his C-27 plasma cannon.
Before leaving Dyson also takes his back-pack with his canteen, walkie-talkie, 3 flares, pocket computer and also puts on his utility belt with two grenades (one plasma, one frag), toolkit, and extra E-clips (2 clips, 1 canister) attached.
Dyson hurries back to the helipad at a jog as to not tire too much before the mission begins and thinks * Damn I better need all this gear, I can hardly run with all this on.*

Mendez ; seeing the doc take off for the helipad runs to his quarters and suits up in full gear, grabs his instruments and high tails it to the infirmery. (mendez is a qualified doc.) if he gets to the infirmery he follows the captains lead and helps as much as he can. if he gets told to report for duty with the rest of the squad, he does that instead.
[sorry it took so long to get back, i was in the boonies of mex for a week filming and there was no access to the net for me.]
