Mikey drops Archers body by Col. Mendez as he slides in to take Shepherds spot." There you go, Colonel. He's all yours." As the body lands, it is easy to see a hole in the base of his skull where a large caliber bullet had struck. " Looks like a lucky shot to me." He adds, switching the TX-500 on single shot and firing up the hill. His fire is replied to by an increased volley from at least a half dozen positions.
Shepherd inches away from the rock, motioning to Snowball and Dyson. " Let's go.." He turns back towards the Colonel." Don't wait too long, that plume of smoke could bring every unfriendly nearby almost as fast as the chopper crash will." He heads off to the southeast, along the creek bed at a quick pace.
After a few moments, the creek bends back northward and Shep pauses, distracted by something laying at the edge of a pool just ahead. The wind shifts and Snowball gets the scent of something, but before he can respond, a pair of Simvan sring from behind cover a mere 30 yards away. One is armed with a battered Wilk's rifle , the other holds makeshift bladed staff.
(Okay, this ends Chapter 1A, please post your replies in the correct thread as the group is now split)
OOC: Remote view (10 isp per pilot), How many pilots? And are they alive?
The copilot is dead, the pilot is alive, barely. Both are still in the wreckage. Ellie's ISP must be starting to run low soon(?).
