Rhys thinks to himself "Great another commander that needs to be fragged. I hope that this one doesn't order us into a situation that gets us all killed"

Ellie thinks to herself "yeah, respect for authority... when they deserve it!" She watchs the Lt. with unguided eyes to give the feeling as though they need a leader. "Thank God for all those acting classes" she says to herself

Mikey and Shepherd both snicker at Lt. Archer's self-introduction. Archer shoots them a dirty look. " Do you gentleman have something to say?"
Shep gathers his compusure and looks the Lt in the eyes." With all due respect, sir, that means there are six sub-commanders on this base, if you include the artillery, air support and maitenance squad leaders. I"m sure General Sykes thinks highly of you, but I beleive self-promotion is against army regs. Maybe I should ask Colonel Martin tonight at the poker game what he thinks..." His voice trails off in a sinister smile.
Archer rocks back on his heels for a moment, his arms folded accrossed his chest." Are you threatening to go over my head, Sergeant?"
Shepherd pulls the half finished cigar from his breast pocket and lights it up. " Yessir, I am. In a heartbeat. And there ain't a damn thing you can do about it, since the squad is already at half strength as it is and the Colonel is going to believe me over you eight days a week." He picks up his duffel and heads inside the building, snapping the Lt and halfhearted salute as he passes.
Mikey laughs and salutes Archer, and quickly follows Shepherd inside. Archer shakes his head in disgust, then turns back to the rest of the squad. " As I had begun before that poor excuse for a soldier demonstration, this is Ft. Griggs. Officially, this base does not exist. We are here under classified orders to preform sensitive operations that cannot be accomplished using conventional armed forces tactics. That is why resourses from all branches of the military are represented as part of this joint operation designated Coalition States Special Operations Group, or CSOg for short."
" This base, and the six others like it, are designed to appear non conspicuios to onlookers, hence why it looks more like a town than base. The general store and blacksmith shops are the supply depot and armory. The resturant is the mess hall, and the saloon is a recreational center , though the bar is kept well stocked for off duty times. Each of the other buildings serve as barracks for the squads stationed here at the base." He motions to the three larger buildings at the end of the street." The town hall is the command center, the stables is the motor pool and the jail and sherrif's office serves as a hangar for our limited on site air support. All areas are set up to appear to be what they are supposed to be, should someone wander through town, that is why you will see many other soldiers out of uniform and it is recommended that if you have no civilian attire with you , that you draw some from the supply depot for this purpose."
He turns back to the squad, placing his hands on his hips." Any questions before we get you situated?"

Archer grins at the flood of questions. " There is a small gymnasium and workout facility on the lower floors of the rec center. The barracks are not assigned so the room assignments are free for the choosing. There are four rooms per floor on the lower floors, each for single occupation. The main floor is a common area and upstairs contains my office and the squads operation center."
He turns to Mendez, gazing at the Colonel wide eyed. He snaps a proper salute and holds it. " Sir, I was unaware that the RSCG had assigned an officer to my squad. My unit profiles were supposed to arrive with the transport. I can introduce you to Colonel Martin at the command center as soon as you are situated here" He holds his salute.

Rhys looks to Colnel Mendez and salutes him then looks to both the Lt and the Col, "Well if that is all sirs, I will go find myself a room." He picks up his duffel and heads off to find himself a room, that is if the two officers don't say anything to him.

"thank you, sir" Ellie says. and if we are released she will find her way to a room... preferably away from the majority of people. She'll unpack and explore the rest of the compound in civillian clothes.

"Sir" Dyson says, looking at Lt. Archer " May I ask what range of vehicles does the base have access to".

Lt Archer drops his salute and turns to Dyson." Not alot, I"m afraid because of the secretcy surrounding the base. We rely mainly on a half dozen Mark IX EPC's, but we also have a dozen AFC-023's, four AFC-115's and a pair of Mark V's. There is also the SAMAS you accompanied in on the transport and the armored squad has a pair of CTX-20's and one of those Mark V MLRS conversions. There are a few other odds and ends in the motor pool as well."
(Rhys & Ellie) Inside , you find a large rec room like area on the main floor, with a small kitchenette and dining area in the back. Two sets of stairs, one up, one down, are on opposite sides of the room. Despite the old look of the outside, you quickly realize that it is a facade and that the barracks are of standard CS design ( MDC). Laughter can be heard coming from the down staircase, accompanied by a faint hint of cigar smoke. Amongst the laughter, you can make out the words " luietenant" and "hopeless". From the sounds of it, the voices are on the bottom floor (basement three).

As Dyson listens to Lt. Archer some of the emotion drains from his face, and when Lt. Archer finishes he says " Well, ah, thank you sir, if thats all I'll be finding a room." If Lt. Archer doesn't stop him Dyson will follow Rhys and Ellie and look for a vacant room to store his duffel bag in.
After that, if nothing of any note has happened and he's stored his duffel, he'll walk down to the stable/motor pool.

"Excuse me, Dyson is it? Hi I've noticed you weren't to pleased with with the Lt's answer to your question.... I was thinking, my Hovercycle should be ariving soon and if you want you could tinker with it a bit. I know your more into robotics and all but this base doesn't seem to have to much of that here.... I'm just say if you get bored and all, you could have a go at it. Its an......NG... ummm.... 4... something.. Its the Turbo... slightly modified.. All professionally done... not that you wouldn't be professional or anything... Well ummm yeah.... You can work on it if you like. I don't think I'll be using it much around here..."
OOC: I'm guessing I would have said this before we got to the rec center.

Mendez salutes back, " If you could please have someone show me to the officers quarters, i would greatly appreciate it. Oh, and have someone notify me when the Colonel has time to debrief and meet." if shown to quarters he unpacks and writes his daily report.
