Snowball lopes back to the barracks to suit up in his DPM Riot Armor. Strapping his crossbow to his right thigh, his quiver to his belt on his left hip, and slinging his CP-40 across his back with his pack, he heads back to the chopper.

Lt. Archer arrives at the helipad shortly after the the group in his freshly polished armor, his helmet propped under his arm. " Well, it looks like we will be heading out a little ahead of schedule. Apparently a few members of 1st squad did not make the rendezvous with their pickup and it is our assignment to go retreive them. They came under fire from a group of unknown origin and strength, so it is imparitive that we stay on our toes, people."

He takes a quick look at the squad, then scowls." Where are Private Cartier and Sergeants Trassk and O'Niell?"

Rhys continues looking for Mendez as per orders. He searches first the Mess then goes to other buildings in order of priorty for possible locations.

"I don't know sir" Dyson says to Lt. Archer without emotion.

well on my way to the infirmery i see my squad gathering at the heli-pad so i join them "colonel mendez reporting for duty; whats the situation L.T. ?" mendez is wearing armor a back pack and 2 cp-30's and a modified c-10

Returning to the helipad after his futile searching for Col. Mendez, he falls in next to the Col. snapping a salute to the Lt. "Sgt O'neill reporting. Sir!" then turning whispering to Mendez. "Geez you are one hard sob to find Colnel" *chuckles quietly then stands in a posture matching the others (either at attention or at ease)

smiles back at the sarge, " we should sinc our comms so this wont be an issue in the future. sarge can you make sure to ask the LT if it's ok to get the sqaud on the same frequency." checks equipment in pack to make sure its all there. preps med supplies then checks guns ammo and rest of gear, while waiting for squad and deployment.

Rhys nods in response to the Col's comment. "Yes sir, I will do that" Rhys awaits the Lt's briefing.

seeing the colonel check his things reminds Ellie to make sure everything is up to par with her equipment also.

" Looks like the gangs all here" calls Mikey as he takes up a relaxed position next to Dyson, his TX-500 railgun resting over his shoulder. He leans over to Dyson and whispers " Where did you did up those relics? I thought they stopped commisioning old style armor years ago."

Lt. Archer overhears andthrows Mikey a dirty look for his comment. " Where is Sergeant Trassk?"

Before Mikey can answer, Shep replies " I'm right here, LT. " He wades through the squad and brushes past Archer. " No need for a full blown breifing. It's just another snoop and scoop." He grumbles as he shifts the weight of his backpack from one shoulder to the other" A couple more lost sheep need Ol' Shep to bring them back to the herd. I'll be on the chopper" He continues past and climbs aboard.

Preturbed by the sergeant's display of insubordination, Lt. Archer pauses a moment to collect himself before beginning his briefing . " As most of you most likely deduced when the helicopter arrived, First squad was ambush early this morning while on routine patrol Northwest of here, acrossed the Baronies near the border of the former states of Nebraska and Wyoming. It is unknown who the responsible parties are and we are to avoid confrontation with them if possible. Three members are missing in action and it is our job to locate and retreive them. We are also to preform reconaisance in the vicinity during our search to attempt to ascertain any information we can concerning our enemies in the area.
Any questions?"


Mikey snickers. " So just like Shep said, a snoop and scoop."

Dyson unlatches his helmet, removes it, holds it under his left arm and says " Sir, what kind of injuries and damage did the members of first squad that made it back have. Energy burns? kinetic damage?.

After Lt. Archers response Dyson leans Mikey and Replay in a hushed tone " Just lucky, everyone else in I was in training with was immediately deployed with a large number of soldiers that needed more armor than was available. So Fifty new guys that weren't going any where, like me, got mint condition old style gear that had just been crated when the new gear was being introduced."

looks at dyson and says" good question." looks at archer " i need intel on all missing members of first squad, personal files and the equipment they have at hand. i would also like recon intel on the area they were patroling for the past three days and anything noteworthy for the past two weeks. I would also like a second squad member to assist me with any med evacs if you can spare someone. prefferably with some medical of first-aid experiance. plus if it's not to much much trouble, and again if you can spare someone, i'd like to have someone focus on gathering as much intel as possible on the situation and the enemy. with your permission of course." mendez, pulls out his mini-pc and tries to link with the garrison main frame. checking for mapping and recon intel on the drop zone and surrounding area. computer op. 37 out of 75.
