Tom is shaking his head at Jason. "...seriously, I have my own magnetic powers - I should be able to protect myself - better than some others, I might think." Tom resisted the urge to point out Jason's own weakness in this regard - he knew it was hitting below the belt. "And not to be a know-it-all, but I also could hold my own against Ragnarok, even when you said I couldn't, so...maybe we can try? What makes Lodestone's magnetics more powerful than mine?"

Calvin prepares himself to scout the area. "I'm ready to go? Shall I go solo, or does anyone want to come?" Noticing Syl's reluctance around the infant, he offers, "Syl? Wanna fly?"

Isamu takes Himari and holds her out at arms length, as if he was afraid of hurting her. He looks at her in his arms like that for a moment before pulling her close in his arms. Noticing Sylwia's reaction he tries to offer her a warm smile before stepping away not wanting to make her more uncomfortable.
He watches everyone make plans and the excitement on Ashley's face as she talks about getting back to work.
He tries to catch Ashley's eye and jerk his head so she comes over to talk to him.
When she does he says, "I take it you want to go with them?"

Sylwia herself lights up at the prospect of potentially getting out of there and away from the child. "Yes I would follow you for some looking around as that would be awesome." Sylwia adds as even out of instinct she starts to float up. "Lead the way!" She smiles.

Alice shakes her head at Tom's comment to Jason and goes to where Beth is to see what she has been able to find out about this guy who has magnetic powers.

Beth was tapping at her tablet when Alice found her. “How does a guy like this stay under the radar?” She offered it to Alice. At six feet tall and built like a small tank. Bald save his ponytail and a massive beard, Anthony “Lodestone “ Marcum looked more like a Duck Dynasty character than a superpowered criminal. His rap sheet was extensive, but nothing that was enough to get him sent to Gramercy. “ You would think he would at least be flagged a high risk offender.”
“You two be careful, we don’t know a lot about this guy.” Jason warned Cal and Syl. “Keep your distance and your radios on. I’ll get Beth to send you what we have on your way.” He looked at Tom, “ Hey, relax buddy. I do believe in what you can do. Let’s let the flyers scout for us, and then we’ll go have a chat with him, okay?”
Ashley’s enthusiasm deflated quickly with Isamu’s question, “I do, but I should get munchkin settled in first, shouldn’t I?” She sighed, dejected. “You go, Sierra and I will settle us in and get the nursery set up. There will be plenty of chances for me to play too.” She said before kissing Isamu’s cheek.

Calvin smiles at Sylwia.
"Let's do it." With that, he steps outside and takes to the air.
He keys on his bandaidio "Paladin, in flight - send me the coordinates and Syl and I will do a couple passes and see what there is."
He'll fly in whatever direction he is given until he reaches the target location, and then run a spiral pattern from the center outward to search for anything out of the ordinary.

Sylwia has never felt so happy to be able to leave. "OK." She says as she jumps in the air and follows Paladin. She knows she will have to keep up by using bursts of speed.

Isamu smiles warmly as he looks at Ashley. "I can stay with her and get her settled and you can go with them if you like."
He looks down at Himari in his arms, "I think I am capable of getting the nursery setup and her settled down. And you seem more exited about the prospect of joining them then of decorating," he teases. "A stone pillar or two here or there and the nursery will be ready," he says smiling. (All the time with Ashley finally started to loosen him up and let him try his hand at joking back with her.)

Alice shrugs at Beth. "That's a good question. Another question is why did he decide to make himself visible now? What is he trying to accomplish?" Alice shakes her head, "Aside from having similar powers to Tom, why would Tom think anyone would mistake him for this guy? It makes no sense."

"A hold my beer moment?" Beth shrugged with a bit of a smirk. "Doesn't really make sense at all, any of it". She was soon on her tablet, hammering directions to forward to the others on the way. "Maybe this Lodestone is auditioning for the bigger show in town."
"What bigger show?" Jason asked.
""Didn't you see the paper yesterday? Wraith is out, his lawyer got his case chucked on some technicality." Beth said, looking up. "Everyone was in a good mood this morning, so I didn't want to ruin it." She said sheepishly.
Jason looked at Alice, then Tom, "Life is about to get way more interesting. We better get moving."
Ashley scowled, "Stone pillars my ass. Sierra and I will look after the nursery then. You go bond with the others and try not to get your butt kicked." She leaned forward and gave him a peck on the cheek, then reached to take their daughter back, "Come her Monkey, time for your nap anyways." She looked at Isamu, "Be safe."

Cal's phone chirped a text, which was a google maps link for a small junkyard way out of place in the city listed as Ferrous Impound Services. It was quite a ways from the beach, but still within the city limits. Sylwia got the same text. It was followed by a message "use extreme caution. Do not engage. Rest of team will explain when rendezvous."

Isamu relinquishes the baby to Ash. He looks at her and smiles. Reaching out he touches her cheek and then Himari's. "I really can stay here with her you know. I was only mostly teasing about the stone pillars."
He looks at her, and whispers, "you know I do not think the group needs me to be in the way. Perhaps I can just stay and help you," he says. She would know about his trepidation in trying to come back and work with the group after leaving.

Calvin uses his phone map to orient himself tob e facing toward the target, and then flies off in that direction, gaining altitude as he goes. When he reaches the location, he'll do wider and lower circles, scouting for trouble. If he spots anything, he'll radio in while getting to a safe distance.
