Vivian scowls and rolls her eyes at Lex as she follows him out. Once they're alone, Vivian asks him quietly, "Do you really think we can trust them?"

Recoverinng his face. Lex shrugged, "rider and the other guy, yeah, I think so. rider has already proven that. Powell, I'm not so sure, but we don't have much choice at the moment. We could find ourselves on the front page of the paper otherwise with Marconi's goons knocking on the door if we can't"

Lex and Vivian return to the bakery without incident, and Rex returns to his hotel room.
Scarecrow astrally hovers over the mysterious industrialist. With his back turned he simply says to no one. "You won't get very far being apart from others. Take my word for it."
