The half hour passed, and at the last moment the pair that had been in Jason's room wandered up to the group. Avi winked at alice as the other one nodded to Will. " I guess we've been reassigned to you. Mind telling us why?"

William looks at the newcomers, then back to his own group. "Because, you're my 8th Cavalry." William says. "Now, it's time for a good, old-fashioned raid. But first, let's check out our new home."

"Calvary? Hell no, we're Marines." The speaker replied.
" Shut up Kerry." Avi stated flatly and he did. Avi continued." What kind of raid? I'm assuming you're Will."
" Our new home? We hadn't even moved into the fire station yet." Trevor sounded disappointed.
"maybe this one will have private rooms." dimitri mused to Isamu, drawing a glare from Ashlsy.

Alice smiles in response to Avi's wink but says nothing as she sits next to Jane and waits for Will to explain where they are headed to next.

" So instead of being hunted by the authorities, we hunt for them. How is that an improvement?" Ashley asked
" We don't hunt other metas." Avi answered quickly, insulted. " We only deal with the ones that cause problems for the general public."
" You mean the norms." Trevor replied. " If the politicians could find a weapon to wipe us all out in one shot, they'd have used it long ago."
" They might already..." Kerry started before clamming up. Avi rolled his eyes and shook his head. " Can we get out of here? Hospitals creep me out, remind me of the toybox too much."
Kerry nodded in agreement.

(OOC: The Toybox is the nickname for an "unofficial" government run labratory that is known for it's research into the developement of metasoldiers for various government agencies. Those with government ties will know of its existence, and anyone one else would have heard the rumors.)

Upon Kerry's stunted comment, WIlliam says "Listen up." He says in a formal tone. "Every generation, someone says they come up with an anti-mutant cure, and, as evidenced by at least yours truely, they end up fizzling. Don't let that worry you. Now, let's get moving."

Alice nods at william and tells him "I'll be right back." She turns around, and starts to head towards Jason's room, just intending to quickly let him know they were leaving.

Isamu listens to what William says, then he walks up to Ashley and says in a voice that none but her can hear, "I want to apologize for my naivte, relationships such as the one we seem to be developing were left out of my training. That and slang are things I am lacking, so I misunderstand things at times. I am sorry if this upsets you. What do you think of William's new plan?"

" If you say so Will." Kerry nodded. " They're just rumors anyways, about some nutty scientist who thinks she's found a cure."
Ashley called after Alice. " Say hi for all of us" She turned to Isamu with a mischevious grin. " You can't upset me, Is, at least not for long. Tell you what, you keep helping me with control and I'll teach you all about relationships. And I'm sure you'll pick up the slang eventually."
She thought for a moment. " I don't know, but he's the one who's done this sort of thing before. At least now we'll get paid, that'll be a switch."
Alice found Tyler asleep in the chair acrossed from Jason's bed. Jason looked up at her from his paper, and folded the paper up, only to throw it at his brother. " Get out Ty, go get a cup of coffee or something."
Ty woke with a snort and was about to protest, but simply got up with an " uh huh" when he saw Alice and let himself out.
" He's gonna smother me. " He smiled, but it faded as he studied her face. " What's up?"

Alice smiles quietly at Jason as she replies "I just wanted to let you know that we're headed out. Apprantly we're working with Mac now and he left a couple of guys here to work with us. We're going to check out the new base, since the firehall isn't safe anymore." Alice sits on the side of the bed next to Jason with a small smile. "I just didn't want you to think I'd vanished into thin air."

"So far, all I've seen Reno do is the opposite. Rest assured, she remains one of the targets. As a Canadian citizen undertaking illicit activities abroad, she rests well within my own work mandate." William answers Kerry. "Plus, she's pompus enough that her own ego will get in her way. Lastly," he adds cery casually, "I burned down one of her factories this morning, so her progress will have slowed."
Clapping his hands to break the meeting, he finsihes with. "OK, folks, let's get moving. Kerry, when Alice is finished, bring her over. Avi, you're leading the way." And he heads for the door.

" I heard. They stopped in to see me and rub it in." Jason replied as he sat up. " Don't tell Ty, he wants nothing to do with Mac. And please don't do anything foolish like you did earlier today, okay? The doc says I need a bunch of tests and it'll be at least Friday before I get out of here and I don't want to spend my time worrying about you anymore than I have to." He looked up just as Ty glanced in the window. " Any longer than that and I might kill him. What did Will do to make him stay instead of being with Felicia?"
Kerry looked at Avi with a surprised look." How did he know?"
"I dunno." avi shrugged." Thats why he's in charge I guess. Now do as your told."
Kerry nodded. "Okay, babysitting it is. Later folks." He turned and walked the way Alice went.
Avi led the rest of them outto the parking lot, and got in a company Suburban. Trevor called out as Dimitri and Jane got in with him. " We're gonna swing by the firehouse and pick up our stuff, we'll be there shortly."
Ashley led Isamu by the hand to get in the Suburban's back seat.
