"Ok let us go," says Isamu as he steps to the side and allows Ashley to lead.
As they walk he says, "With the sand from the beach I would be able to make a wall or whatever else We may require for defense. Although the water could cause a problem. Must admit, a much nicer view than the last place."

William looks at Kerry and Alice as they arrive, then back to Avi. "It's not about who I trust." William says. "It's about making sure. You're a professional, work like one, and make sure we're not being watched."
With that, he makes his way to the higher floors to check out the building's systems. Hopefully this place will last more than a couple of days. He thinks.

Alice chuckles quietly "I see." she replies, grinning at Kerry "I don't really have a nickname yet." She shrugs "I can always ask Jason why he cals Avi that, I'm sure he'd have no problem telling me."

" I bet you could have made some pretty wild sandcastles as a kid." Ashley grinned, looking out over the ocean. " What's wrong with being on the ocean? Besides there's not enough of a break. No good for a short board, but maybe a boogie board to play on." She commented, before turning to Isamu. " You almost sounded intimidated by the water there for a second." she smirked.
" I don't have to watch, that's why we've got the security system up in the war room." Avi replied as Will left. His search came up with the standard paranoid security SCRET utilized that to the untrained eye would miss. When he reached upstairs, the monitoring wall proved it, showing a combination of cameras and sensors on the grounds and inside, even some sensors concealed on the beachfront.
" Ask Jas what about me?" Avi asked curiously as he got himself a bottle of water. He looked at Kerry suspiciously. " What have you been telling her?" Kerry merely shrugged and left the room, heading upstairs.

"Not intimidated, just wary. If I make a wall of sand, and it gets hit with water, it will slowly fall apart and collapse. Would not be much of a defense, would it? Besides, even under the deepest ocean, there is earth underneath. It is one of the things that bring us balance."

Alice grins in an innocent manner at Avi "Oh," she replies in a nonchalant way, "he was just giving me some background information." Alice then heads towards the living room to go out onto the deck.

William looks up from the screens, watching Isamu's and Ashley's conversation for a moment, as Kerry comes in. With a mild grin, he says "You wouldn't happen to know if any of the recordings around here were lifted from the old SCRET offices would you? Just idly curious, really."
As he waits for Kerry to respond, Williams sizes him up, seeing what his angle is, and worried if the kid was bought the way Jason was.

" I doubt Mr. MacColter would have left those, but if he did they'd be labelled on the shelf up there." He motioned off to the side of the displays before going to the recording systems and changing the disks and then slipping each disk into a tray next to each recorder. " Anything else ?" He asked before something on the far wall grabbed his attention. He went over and examined an indentation in the wall with somethnig smudged beneath it. Kerry looked back at Will. " Atlas took a swing at Avi and missed during a differnce of opinion. Hit the wall hard enough he left an imprint of his fist in the wall. He got cute and autographed it."
" Yeah, I bet." Avi smiled lightly as Alice walked away. Outside, the deck gave Alice a view out over the beach. Up and down the shoreline she could see that the homes here were surprisingly spaced out, giving them a fair amount of privacy along the beach. As it was, Ashley and Isamu were the only people on it. Behind her, she could here the click of a television set coming on, then the sounds of a boxing match.
Ashley grinned, " Balance, as in kinda like how your relaxed and controlled approach counters my wild and spontaneous lifestyle? Or is it just that opposites attract?" Her grin grew mischevious . " Oh, if you're not sure, yes, that is flirting. Is it working?" She asked, taking his hand in hers.

William turns and looks the afore-mentioned shelf, to see what might be there.
"Tell me, Kerry." He says, glancing at the dent in the wall, "How long have you been in town? I know Control is only a recent affectation."

Isamu smiles. He then says, "Yes we do seem to balance each other well. I guess that is why we seem to get along so well although we just met."

Alice smiles to herself, enjoying the view of the beach and looks forward to going swimming. When she hears the tv turn on, she turns around and heads inside wondering who was watching boxing.

" Me? I've only got called in late Saturday with Avi after the mayor was killed." Kerry replied. " The rest of the team had been here for about two weeks I think. Mr. MacColter said that there was too much meta activity here in Miami, so that's why we got brought in."
He looked at Will. " You aren't gonna make us wear those ugly jumpsuits Ryne's people have?"
To no surprise, the tapes Will wanted were not on the shelf.
" Although we just met..." Ashley repeated, her tone disappointed as she forced a smile. " I understand. " With his hand still in her's, she seemed distant all of a sudden as they walked along the beach. " I guess that ground control of yours would make you good at building sandcastles, oh let me guess you've never done that before either."
" I'm sorry, didn't mean to disturb you." Avi said lowly from a lazyboy in the corner. He lowered the volume with the remote, the old fight barely audible. " The volume is cranked up and was on MTV, not hard to tell Kerry had the remote last." Avi smiled lightly, offering the clicker." You can watch whatever you want, I've seen this one plenty of times."
He looked at Alice's face. " That was a pretty brave thing you did today, standing up to Ragnarock like that no matter what anyone tells you. You must love Jason alot to do something like that." He said with a warm tone.

Feeling her mood change, Isamu says, "I have really enjoyed getting to know you Ashley, despite the situations around us. I hope that we get more time alone like this, but I fear that we have yet to see the worst of our problems."
He walks in silence for a moment until she brings up the subject of sand castles. "I have never built a sand castle before, however my master did not call me the Fortress Warrior for nothing," he says with a wink.
Would you like to see what I built for him before I left?

"Son." William says, absently, looking the place over. "If you knew who I was, you wouldn't be asking that. Your first question would be 'Will we last the night?'" He looks over and grins.
He stands up, and looks at Kerry. "I need every map you have on streets, tunnels, subwats, and such. Time to make this the campaign it should be."
