Issue #18: Little Lost Tabbycat (All)

DD tilts his head, his hero tenor back in his voice, "Ghostsabre..." he stops when he notices the field, "the force field is weakening. We have to get out of here fast." He says looking around." He then "looks" back at Tabby, "I think everything else will have to wait for later."

"Great...I'll wind up smelling like a doberman again," mutters Logan, making sure the group's together, leaving no one behind.

Captain America takes no time in weighing his options. "Move out. Aura, take Ghostsabre out as fast as you can. D-Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine, X-23 - clear us a path. Shadowcat, disable any electronics in our way. I'll cover the rearguard. Double-time it Avengers."

Kitty blushes a little as she stands, helping Tabby up, offering a quick nod of acknowledgement. However, the thought of the base flooding does have her somewhat alarmed; as Captain America speaks up, offering orders she nods once more. "Roger, Captain." she replies quickly.

Immediately she goes insubstantial, then moves at a quick pace forward towards the exit that they came in, keeping an eye out for not just possible electronic threats, but also electronic locks they may have to use on the way out, that sort of thing!

Aura was about to walk up and shore up the bubble to protect against the water with the copied energy but instead hears the order, "Yes Sir."

She then swoops down grabbing Ghost sabre and flying out in any shortcut she can find.

[Dome]

DD being ignored again when orders were given, simply follows the others as they head for an exit. He thinks, 'as soon as we are back, I'm turning in that damn card.'

X-23 (being npced due to player's disappearance) and Demolition Man led the way towards the European team's higher route, closely followed by aura carrying Tabitha who, despite her experience, was protesting she could make it on her own.

As they opened the larger chamber that had been Arcade's whack-a-mole trap, there was a distant rumbling in the facility. In front of the team standing shoulder to shoulder were six nazi bots, but they were facing the wrong way. Their guns opened up, showering the opposite direction with lead. But it made no difference as the rumbling grew until the tank sub suddenly appeared, smashing through the Nazibot lines.

As it stopped, the hatch opened. Spitfire appeared along with Black Knight, both smiling. " I bloody well hope one of you yanks knows how to drive this thing, because Spitfire certainly cannot."

"Shut up Knight." Spitfire said," Oh and we picked up a present for you." Spitfire dragged a cuffed Spot from behind her, turtled in a fetal position sobbing. " This soddy twit thought he could catch a ride out of here with us. Instead he learned his spots don't cover certain areas vry well."

As she said it, D-man winced, instinctivily covering his own privates.

"Well done." Scarlet Witch said. "Let's get out of here."

ghostsabre was still complaining," Let me down Tally, I can walk already." She still sounded tired and didn't even focus on Spot.

"You heard them people. All aboard." Cap climbs in to see if he can take the controls.

Shadowcat piles onto the tank-sub along with everyone else, taking a seat near Tally and Tabitha.

Tally stops along the way, "OK Tabitha." As she puts down Tabitha but is cautious as she makes sure Tabitha makes it to where they are on the way to go.

[Dome]

When Tally puts down Tabitha DD is standing next to her offering her his arm in assistance if she so requires it. Either way he will make his way onto the sub and wait for someone to get it out of there.

" It's okay Tally. Thanks." Tabitha said as she stood, then turned to Daredevil and kissed him deeply. As she broke it, she looked at him though her arms stayed wrapped around his neck for support against her weakness more than anything," You're a jerk you know. You could have told me who you were and I wouldn't have blown you off like I did. Made me feel horrible for the way I responded."

Tabitha looked at Kitty. " Did you explain? No, I guess there wasn't time was there. Daredevil, the dimension I'm from is about twenty years ahead of this one, which explains why Shadowcat and I look alot alike. It's because technically, she's my mom, or will be, or could be..., I'm not really sure how this cross dimensional time shifted family tree thing works."


As Cap took the pilot seat, he found that the manual controls spitfire had discovered were more familiar than he had expected, much like those of early tank designs with two throttle sticks for the individuals treads. Behind him, Spot began to whimper as Wolverine, Black Knight and Spiderman watched over him. " Look, I had no idea what he had planned for the girl. All Arcade told me was to collected her for him. He was more interested in this Overlord guy he talked to, and the rep he sent to oversee the Murderworld project. Hey I bet if you find that guy, he can tell you. Rote Schadel was his name, I'm sure of it. He was the middle man between that Overlord guy and Arcade."

Scarlet Witch slid into the seat beside Cap, " We've had much worse results we called victories." she glanced over her shoulder, then back at Cap, " You've assembled an interesting team this time, I will give you credit there. But you always enjoy challenges, don't you?"

Cap allows himself a small smile at Wanda's comment. "Taking a pair of reformed 'evil mutants' and a cocky archer and making them a team? That's not a challenge. Anzio was a challenge." The Sentinel of Liberty's expression darkens at the Spot's comment. He gets the pod moving. "Rote Schadel is a name - in German. It means "Red Skull"."

Cap remains silent for the remainder of the trip home. The look in his eyes clearly indicates he is no mood for discussion.

DD at first surprised by the kiss quickly returns it and tightens his arms around Tabby. He smiles and says, "I'm sorry. Don't feel bad please. Would it help if I said I was going to tell you before you opened that package? I also was trying to see which "me" you liked best. I know that wasn't fair and I'm sorry"

Kitty raises her brows a little at the kiss Tabitha places on DD, then smiles a little, looking away to give them a modicum of privacy.
