' ... paranoid? .. heh .. whatever works to keep the hide in one piece .. ' *visibly relaxes now , and takes a couple of deep breaths and regains a bit of the composure she has*
'i don't know what will help .. but i was with .. that guy? .. well he's got others .. and one had to go see the doc .. ... but what triggered my mind .. was 'clinic' .. 'french doctor' ... they used the two words together .. and it spooked me big time. I'm Maria .. but most call me Sparks .. cause i make things blow up.
'i just know that Deth thought I was you. he was startled when he saw i didn't have fangs .. but i guess i wasn't you .. was i? .. ' *gives a nervous giggle and finishes* 'but i came with some others .. and wanted to keep an eye on the one that went inside the place there. something's wrong there .. real wrong. so i better get back there and make sure that she's okay. others might end up finding us if we're not careful'

Nodding, Felicia turned her attention back to the monitor. " He might even grow up now." The doctor kept preforming her examination until completed, but Will caught her glancing at him out of the corner of her eye from time to time. When she finished, she pulled the machine out of the way and sat down next the exam table and Fel sat up, fixing her shirt. " Now Felicia, you're going to have to take it easy . No more scrapping with the Brethren, or you'll hurt that little angel before their ever born."
As Felicia replied, Will couldn't here her as the " angels" comment flipped a switch in his mind, and suddenly he recognized the doctor from many years ago in the same facility that had preformed his training, she had something to do with "improving " candidates.
Ashley paused and looked at Alice. " You mean like tele-whatsitcalled? Does it hurt? I mean I can track Maria down if you want to go wait for Will. He should know what to do." She says, showing her inexperience at making desicions. she changes into her bearform with a roar and begins sniffing the air. " Maria went this way, and someone else is with her, never smelled them before" She stated before turning Alice. " This is your desicion, but I was supposed to keep an eye on Maria so I have to go. She might be in trouble." She waits for an answer.
" That guy you were with, I know him but I doubt he'd recognize me now." Dexy replied, relaxing as well." A few years ago he made trouble for my ...," she corrected herself," the company I work for, or used to before I got turned into a monster." she didn't bother to try to hide the pain in her eyes."
She forced a smile. " Anyways, I know what you mean about that clinic. something about it creeped me out too and when I saw you show up, I knew I had to check things out. Maybe we should check things out, just to put us both at ease. Sparks, huh, I guess a nickname isn't so bad afterall then. A couple people I know started calling me Xyphon (ooc- pronounced Siphon) because I can steal and absorb energy. Guess it could have been worse if the they'd seen the tentacles first." She chuckled, but stopped short when a fairly near roar filled the air. " What was that, this Deth guy you told me about?"

The deep inhaling by William told Dr. Reno that he knew who she was. Though, he said nothing on the subject. His posture, however, became more rigid, and less backgroundy. "We will certainly make sure the child is safe from wrongdoing." He finally says in a solid, though quiet, voice.

ALice thinks for a moment and then shakes her head. "No, it doesn't hurt. It's just unsettling being able to hear peple's voices in your head. I'll talk to William later. I'll keep an eye out to make sure no one come around while you're in bear form." Alice tries to send a thought to Ashley 'If someone comes, I'll warn you like this, assuming you can hear me.' Alice asks out loud, "Did you hear that?"

*nods and listens as Dexy talks .. thinking about a few more things. then leaps into her as she spins towards th sound, knocking the two of them down .. 'oh .. jeez .. sorry about that .. sorry .. ' *then thinking quickly, rolls to the side and then stands up, closer to the opening and looks at what might be her 'sister'
'you said you ran with a group? .. who were they? .. and when did you first see me? .. the mall? .. heh .. uhh .. thats easy to explain ' .. *then finally recalls the voice of the roar .. 'oh .. thats a friend of mine .. i'll stay here and try to calm her down if there's gonna be any issues .. k ? '
*then thinking to herself ...o0( she absorbs others powers? i don't think that sounds good .. in fact i think that sounds really ba .. wonder if i'll have my finger claws or if she would? )

Felicia gave Will an odd look, but Dr. Reno spoke up before she could question him. " Of course. Now I have other patients to attend to. Felicia, see the receptionist to make an appointment in two weeks, and it was nice to meet you're father." With that, she let herself out. Fel glared at Will as she tucked her arms back in her jersey, but said nothing. On the way out, she stopped to make another appointment. As they pulled the door shut, her silence broke. " you're almost as subtle as a hungry aligator. What was that all about?
Ashley blinked and shook her head. " You don't have to shout. Can you reach Will so he knows we're here and tell him what's going on?" With that she turned, sniffing as she picked their way through the shadows until they closed in on Maria. " We're close." she growl/whispered before stepping from the shadows.
" Would you simmer down." Dexy said as she got back to her feet. " I work for my uncle's import/ export company out of Vancouver. I used to do alot of his business down herebefore I changed. Now, well, I'm on an extended vacation." She smirked. " Yeah, at the mall was the first time I saw you. There's no need to explain, and what you did to those cops in the sluiceway was impressive but your buddy should have let you finish them off. "
" You don't have to worry about me, I can look out for myself." Dexy replied to the offer of help. At the same time, Ashley's monstrous bear form stepped into view.
" Sparks, are you okay?" Ashley growled, locked in a staredown with Dexy. " Allie said you were in trouble."

Blushing a bit Alice nods at Ashley with an uncertain look on her face. "I don't know, but I can try." she says to Ashley quietly. While Ashley is staring at Dexy, Alice tries to send out 'William? Can you hear me? It's me, Alice.'

"Quickly." Says William, though his voice isn't agitated. "And I don't think this place is really safe." He touches his nose. "I'll explain on the way home." He says, heading for the back door.
William froze as he opened the door. Furrowing his brow, and looking down the hallway, he continues out of the building. Fel would get the impression something suprised him, but he seems adamant about not talking inside the building.

'i'm fine ... this is .. .. uhh .. my sister ... ? ' *then glances at Dexy with a shrug* 'well .. my almost sister .. she needed to talk to me .. sorry .. i'm ready to go .. '
*steps closer to Kodiak, but remains between the two of them 'i'm fine .. really .. just something about that place is bad .. and she snuck up on me and i .. i froze .. thats all ' *refusing to give out any info to either side just now 'figures .. even more secrets to keep from everyone else .. wonderful .. shall we .. Kodiak? .. ' *now standing in front of Ashley's bear form, and there isn't a bone in her that shows fear of any sort now.
'really .. i'm ready to go .. and you should change back when its safe .. now back up about 5 feet and you're fine .. but lets go .. i feel stupid about this as it is .. yell at me later .. god ... ' *shakes hte head and then removes the cap and ruffles the badly cut hair with one hand, then replaces the cap*

Alice tries to send another message to Will. 'We aren't too far away. Sparks disapeared and I heard her cry out in fear and we thought she was in trouble. We found her and she seems ok. She's with someone new, someone she calls her almost sister.' It almost feels like an uncertain pause to Will when she asks 'Can I talk to you later in private?'
Out loud, Alice says to sparks "I'm glad you are ok. You sounded scared earlier and I worried you were in danger." Realizing what she'd said, she falls quiet as she peers at the newcomer and says "Hello. I'm Alice. What's your name?"

Felicia let the door close behind them and walked acrossed the parknig lot towards where they'd parked. " Alright, what gives? You saw for yourself everything is on the level in there."
Dexy and Ashley have a breif staredown before Ashley gives in, giving Maria an odd look. " sister? I thought you didn't have any memories? And Will can let you know if he found out anything." With a last glare, Ashley reverted to normal.
Dexy relaxed a bit as well, sizing up Alice. " You're an awfully trusting one, aren't you? But Maria says your okay, so... my name's Dexy. " She turned to Maria. " you better go with your friends before someone wanders on to us. Wouldn't want to spook the neighbors." She grinned before starting away. " I'll see you again, Sparks."

*nods at Dexy .. andthen looks at the others .. and replaces the cap and then slips the hand back on. shuffling after ashley and alice, she glances back once .. with a slightly worried look .. the mind feeling funny as she turns to face the front once again.
*walking along the alley in the shadowy area, Sparks follows along then speaks quietly to Ashley and Alice. 'sorry .. there was someting i needed to check out .. but .. its hard to say .. hard to describe .. its like something's in the head stopping me remembering .. Dexy .. she's .. ... ' *shrugs in a confused manner, the mind no longer dwellingo n that as she looks about, her sense of survival kicking in as the backdoor of the clinic starts to move.
*doving for the cover supplied by the large garbage bin, Sparks shudders as the skin goes a shade of grey .. before going back to the inky black. 'oh god .. i don't think ... *then gets ill behind the garbage and huddles trying to get her courage back again.
*the mind starts a slow seeping movement into a whirlpool of incoherant thoughts and images .. then nothing as Sparks once again asserts her own will of control. the claws that show finally relax and retreat and she nods 'i'm fine .. lets just get outta here .. before i .. something happens .. oh god .. where's Ty when i need him?' *the trickle of electricity arcingfrom the hand to the bin and then settles ..

Alice nods quietly at Sparks "Yes, let's get out of here. We'll find William and Felicia so you can see that they are ok." Alice realizes she's going to have to talk to William about what she had done earlier and wondered if any other crazy things were going to happen while they were in town. "Besdies," Alice adds "I have to go and meet Jane and Dmitri soon."

Safely away from the doctor's office, William opens up. "That place may be on the level, but Reno isn't. I'm trying to remember the name, but she didn't look like that, when I last saw her. She was part of an old, and old like me old, Canadian mutants intitiative for experiments of willing subjects. However, back in those days, Canada was in its high moral phase, and used that to justify ending such an expensive project. After that, our good doctor went underground. I have no doubt she's the one that made Maria what she is today." William leans on the car. "And I think that Alice can read minds." He adds casually. "And they're nearby. Shall we look? or wait for them at the cottage?"

*scuttles along the alleyway and then races for the truck with the altered plates, clearly terrified of something, as the electricity starts flickering about the whole body.
*she ducks behind the truck and huddles in a small ball, the eyes wide as the mind-block starts cracking a little more. the cracking of the block seems to be causing the powers to flicker more out of control. the mind whimpering and mentally, with a lonely 'lost child' voice calling out to Ty for help .. gives a hiccup and then collapses .. the mind quiet and the power shut off.
