*stiffens in the hold .. and then whimpers .. the eyes going huge .. and then trying to look either way at who just grabbed her. the muffled screams start as the panic goes into overdrive, but with little to no leverage, Maria just cant seen to do more than just dangle .. until she senses the slight tingle start to form on one hand

Slipping her cell phone into her pocket, Alice opens the door to the truck and says "I'll just go take a quick jog around the doctor's building to see if I can find Sparks" Alice gets out of the truck and heads over to the building, keeping an eye out for Sparks.

*the muffled screams die down as the tears start up .. the tremors of panic seem to set off the darkness in her own mind. whispers in the dark .. pain and lights hitting her in the face.
*the eyes close and she goes utterly still, as she starts to get stuck in the dark. a mournful mental cry .. that of a child crying out in the dark -= nooooooooo............ =- escapes her mind as she starrts to slip into the darkness .. no single muscle responsive to escape just now*

" Settle down , I'm not going to hurt you." Is the only thing Maria's assailant said as she whisked her away, finally stopping inside a rundown apartment building a block away. The coils wrapped around her began to retract as she was set down, turned to face her captor. The one she'd seen on the motorcycle, stood there, staring at her through tinted glasses as the pair of tenticles dissappeared into her wrists. She removed her glasses, which revealed a soft glowing green eyes and smiled, slightly revealing the tips of her fangs. she didn't appear to be much older than Maria. " This isn't the way I wanted this to go down, but I need some answers and you're the only one who can give them to me. " She stepped closer, looking Maria in the eyes. " How much do you know about what was done to us, and why were you sneaking into that clinic? Does it have something to do with it? the place scared the hell out of me when I saw it."
" Allright, I'll go the other way and meet you out front." Ashley replied as she got out as well. " Last thing we need right now is trouble." As Alice goes around the building, someone in hospital garb is looking out a side door with a concerned look, but closes it before she gets there. rounding the building, she finds Ashley standing toe to toe with a monster of a man, accompanied by another guy. Ashley's heavy breathing gives the impression she is on the verge of losing control.
Felicia couldn't contain the her laughter. " You know when you're not being an arrogant old jerk, you seem like a nice guy. It's good I'm getting to know you the way Ty does. It even makes me wonder if you actually care what happens to us." She looked up as one of the doctor's assisstants came to the reception desk and questioned about leaving the side door open. The receptionist shook her head, which seemed to bother the assistant until he turned and saw the two sitting there. " Hello Felicia, come on in. This must be your father, he might as well come in too." Felicia couldn't hold back the snicker as she stood up, glancing at Will. " Come on, dad." Her tone was pure sarcasm.

William's eyes glance to the door, since he remembered it being closed when he and Felicia came in. But, not wanting to miss an opportunity, follows Felicia into her examination room, easily looking like a father (since he's done it before). "Just making sure you're all healthy, Princess" he responds, with equal sarcasm.

As Alice walks around the building, she keeps a close eye searching for any sign of Maria. When she gets about halfway, she hears something faint in the back of her mind screaming 'Noooooo...'. Startled, Alice whirls around, and starts in that direction, but stops not sure if she'd actually heard anything or if it was Maria. She continues around the building, but looks back over her shoulder a couple of times, looking for any sign of her. Rounding the corner she sees Ashley and the two guys and hangs back a bit, not sure of what she should do. Alice watches quietly, feeling torn between investigating the voice she'd heard and revealing herself to the 2 guys who seemed to be causing Ashley to lose control. In the end, she walks over to Ashley and says "Everything ok?"

" Everything's just ducky." Ashley growled ferally, not taking her eyes off the bigger man. " My friend Raig and I are just getting re-aquanted. See anything interesting?" The smaller of the two flashes a smile at Alice. " Oh look Raig, a doubledate. You can have the furball, I like imported food anyways." Raig snarled, backing away slowly from Ashley. " Never mind, loudmouth. Besides, we can't touch them here." He turned to snarl at the girls. " We'll have this dance another time." With that, the two turn and walked away laughing, which only seemed to push Ashley's buttons more.
Felicia shook her head and followed the asistant inside to an examining room. Felicia pulled the hockey jersey off and stretched her lower arms. " I hate when I have to do that." she grumbled. The assistant shook his head. " So, what seems to be the problem?" With a glance at Will first, Felicia replied. " I'm late again, but this time a test came up positive." The assisstant smiled. " Oh, congratulations. Tyler must be estatic." Felicia looked at Will again. " He will be." There was a slight pause. " Oh, I see. Well let me go tell Dr. Reno you're ready." He pulled the door shut, leaving the two of them alone.

William leans against the wall, patiently. Without much notice, he managed to place himself so that anyone coming through the door wouldn't notice him right away. "Don't look at me, unless the Dr. does first, got it?" He asks. His body language changes, and, all of a sudden, William looks like he's been there as long as the wall itself, and worthy of as much notice.

Felicia Was about to speak, but held her tongue with a nod as the door opened. The doctorcame in smiling as she pushed in a portable ultrasound machine. " I here good news is in order. Let's have a look shall we? Up on the examining table and take off your shirt." Felicia gave Will a quick glance, but did as she was instructed. The doctor turned around to her cart, and looked at Will. " Oh. Bonjour, who might you be?"

When the two are out of earshot, Alice turns to Ashley and asks quietly "Who are they?" In a dry tone of voice she adds, "It didn't seem as though you were really friends."
Alice hesitates for a second before continuing "I thought I heard something that sounded like Maria over there" *Alice points in th direction where she heard the voice* "It sounded like she was upset. She might be in trouble. I was thinking I'd go and see if I could find her."

*huge eyes stare at the girl for a while .. then the panic stops .. and the breathing begins again. as the face regains its healthy shade of black Maria swallows a couple of times to get the throat working and whispers .. 'not the brethren? .. not with madam? ... oh god .. i'm ... i'm safe .. ' *thn sags and drops to the knees.
'i honestly can't remember anything .. just darkness and .. well .. pain .. lot of pain .. and sometimes bright in the eyes .. but it was dark. it was .. i can't remember past 4 years ago .. sorry ... its like i woke up on the street corner .. but still .. sorry. i can't help you .. but the brethren want you bad .. and they're workin for Madam, i think .. and that place spooks me bad. i .. i have a friend in there now .. and i ... i just wanted .. to make ... sure .... '
*goes quiet and looks into the darkness about them then comments quietly as her inbred sense of self preservation kicks in ... 'are you sure this is safe? .. i haven't been in this part of the city .. but .. i .. did you hear that? .. ' *turning to look towards the darkness and starting to shake once again ...

William nods politely, and says, in French, though, his tones are soft and not threatening (But the accent is clearly Quebecois). "We know who I am. It's you I wish to know about." With another polite smile he says, "And my little princess here needs a good looking at."

" Madam? The Brethren? Look, ever since I woke up like this, everyone is after me but I never heard of either of them. " She explained, giving Maria a little space, with a sour look on her face. " I only had to talk to you alone because when I saw you , I recognized you somehow. My name's Dexy." She said, her eyes darting in the direction indicated and she held out her hand. A beam of light brighter than any flashlight illuminated the shadows, and revealed a large rat sitting on a crate watching them. The rat scampered off and she turned off the llight. " A little paranoid aren't you?" She smirked. " I know what you mean about that place, I have the same feeling. I want to know why."
Ashley started to relax as the pair went out of sight. " Those two scumbags call themselves Raig and Klaxon. They're members of the Brethren, a street gang made up of metas like us who are always up to something. We've had a few run ins." Her composure almost regained, she turned to Alice." Why wouldn't it surprise me if she did get in over her head? Allright, lets go. Show me where to start and I should be able to track her, but you'll have to warn me so no one sees me after I change."
Dr. Reno froze up for a minute, staring at Will before turning to Felicia, who looked annoyed because she didn't understand what he had said. After a few moments, the doctor examined Fel and announced as she finished. " Congratulations, Felicia. Tyler will be so happy." she turned the monitor so Felicia could see. She couldn't hide her enthusiam as she looked. She glanced over at Will. " Come look , W...Dad." She recovered her slip.
Dr. Reno gave him another look, but there was something else in her stare this time, nervousness or something akin, but it was washed away with a beckon to him. " Yes, the grandfather should see."

William walks over to the ultrasound monitor, watching Dr. Reno out of the corner of his eye. Seeing the picture on the sreen, William tries for a second, but fails to see the image of the child. (He never could. Ultrasounds were hard for his old mind to get a hang of, unless it was drawn out.) After the requisite second pause, he reaches and gives Fel a genuine congratulatory hug. "Congratulations." He says, fatherly, with a grin. "Now. This means I will have to have some words with Tyler. About his... commitment to you." William says, in the same fatherly tones, with a protective threat to it. If she didn't know better.. Reno would almost have thought Will was Felicia's father. Mind you... Having a daughter of his own helped.

Alice nods "OK" she replies. Leading Ashley to where she had heard Maria's mental cry, she says "This is the spot," Alice hesitates before saying "but I need to tell you something." She looks nervous as she continues "I heard Maria in here" Alice taps her temple "I think something's changing. I can hear Michael all the time now, even if he's not talking directly to me and just a few minutes ago I heard Maria. I don't know what's happening or what it means." Alice falls quiet, waiting for Ashley's reaction to the news, while she keeps an eye out for Maria.
