Alice jumps in surpise at the knock on the door, having lost track of the time. She smiles at Jason as she tries to reassure him by saying "No, no, now is good. You can't back out on me now, Jason" She winks at him as she turns to Michael and Eric "I gotta go. See you later guys." She exits the shed and smiles at Jason "So, what's the plan?"

*Maria's body shudders from time to time as whatever it is works its slow way out of the body. the glossy skin shows her body's working overtime to burn it off. the body slumbers on as the body color lightens up to an almost normal skin tone then reverts back to the dark inkiness it usually is.
*in the mind .. the darkness echoes with phrases and words in a haphazard order .. then quietness once again, about something newer and more pleasant surfaces . much like a piece of wood in the ocean of craziness, only one thing is handy to keep her afloat and working to remain

Tyler only shrugs. " If he did, he's got his reasons."
Ashley nodded. " It's a quirk. When he's only telling someone a halftruth, he rubs his chin."
Ty nodded. " she's right, he's done it since he was a kid."
" Well, you said you wanted to change. I'll get the car." Jason replied. " I'll take a while to get my chair in the back seat." He thumbed towards his Chevelle.
Maria could hear the sounds of the house, but they seemed far away in her sleep.

WIlliam frowns, thinking back, trying to identify when, exactly Jason was telling full and half-truths.
"Tyler, was he doing it the whole time?" He says, turning to Tyler. "Did it not occur to you that those reasons could kill us?"
"And Ashely, when exactly did you catch it?"

Alice frowns in confusion. "What? I didn't say I wanted to get changed, I said I had nothing to get changed into, hoping that you didn't mind if I was just wearing a t-shirt and jeans on our first date." Alice pauses as they heaad towards the Chevelle "Got something on your mind, Jason? Do you want to do this? If you've changed your mind or something, that's ok."

" When he answered about some Nullifier guy." Ashley answered.
Tyler shrugged. " Sorry Will, I wasn't paying attention. Look , Dexy's waiting for me, and I want to figure out what this is that affected Maria." He headed for the door. " If you want to know, call him on it."
" No, I want to go." Jason replied quickly. " Just Will was putting the screws to me, pumping me for information on stuff I'd rather forget is all. Let's get out of here." He grinned, rolling a little faster. When he reached the door, he smirked at her," You know you could wear less if you wanted to."

Alice grins and looks relieved as she walks up to the truck "I like that idea. Let's go have some fun!"
Alice blushes a little before responding "Maybe on our second date, if you're lucky enough to get a second date" Alice winks at Jason. "Of course, I'd have to do some shopping first."

William looked more thoughtful. "Why the Nullifier? What did he see?" He looks the way Jason had come. "A half-truth is not a lie. And, if it's a mutant-killer like Nullifier, certain facts are best ignored." William looks like he doesn't believe himself.
"OK. Sorry, Tyler. Yeah, you should go make sure Maria and Dexandra are fine."
"Ashley, walk with me." William rises effortlessly out of the chair, heading for the door. "I have some questions for you."

" We could go shopping first if you'd prefer." Jason replied, as he got in first, sitting on the edge of the seat to fold down his chair, then sliding to the passenger sida and putting the drivers seat ahead long enough to put his chair behind. He opened Alice's door before puting his seat back and sliding back behind the wheel. He positioned his legs and glanced at her. " We could do the cute couple thing and you could push me around the mall." He smirked, but there was still something in his eyes that betrayed something was bothering him as he started the engine and turned out of his parking spot.
[OOC- the chevelle has been modified so the gas and brake pedals are on a paddle system similar to an F1 car so he can drive, and it is an automatic. And I had my car's mixed up. Ty has the Camaro]
Ty left the room, leaving Ashley and Will alone. She got up on his cue and followed, falling in alongside him as they walked. She glanced away as Jason's Chevelle pulled out the driveway. She looked back as it disappeared for view. " If this is a peptalk to cheer me up about you taking control back, don't sweat it. I'm not sure I was ever really in charge anyways, you were still making the calls and it's probably better this way since Ty won't do it."
The lodge grew quiet for a few minutes, until Dexy's angry shouts filled the hallways. " Ouch! You're darned right that hurt a little bit, you sonuva... " There was a loud thud against a wall.

"You seem very eager to discredit Jason." William says to Ashley, getting to the point. The issue of his taking control was settled. "Which is an interesting turn, since, very recently, you were very much interested in regaining his interest. Has something changed?"

Alice considers this and shugs "Maybe. I have a little bit of money on me, so I could probably get a top or a dress or something. I'm guessing it's probably not wise for me to use my bank card or credit card right now." Raising an eyebrow, Alice smirks as she asks in a teasing tone of voice, "Oh, so we're a couple now, are we? When did that happen?
Glancing at Jason, Alice asks gently "What's on your mind, Jason? You seem awfully distracted. What did William want to talk to you about?" Alice hastens to add, "you don't have to tell me, it just seems like something is bothering you."

Ashley shook her head. " No, not that I can think of. You want me to be more responsible, and I thought it was the right thing to do." She toed a rock into the bushes. " I was only trying to help, would you prefer I kept my mouth shut?"
" Money's not an issue if you need some clothes." Jason grinned, but it slipped when she asked, rubbing his chin with his knuckles before turning onto the highway. " It's nothing, Will just stirred up some old memories I'd just as well get rid off." He glanced over at her. " You can't do that with your mind reading, can you? " He turned quickly back to the road. " Nah, nevermind, I wouldn't want to share them with you anyways or anyone else. "
He grinned. " But forget about it,we're supposed to be going to have fun, right?"

*maria's body reacts to the sound of the yelling from below. knowing it was somone she knew, and pain involved. the eyes open, and the gaze picks out the picture on the bed.
' ... who? .. ow .. ' *then the eyes close again, as the mind tries to figure things out, but still unknown. she struggles once again to wake enough to do anything coherent. Maria struggles to get partially upright, but the arms give out and she then does a header off the bed, convinced she's walking .. then nothing again

"Honesty is as much a weapon for gain as any kind of charity. It is the intent that can make it harmful." William walks some more. "He is no longer interested in him. YOu have to let it go."
After a minute, he says "Or, I'll set Dexandra on you as well. We have no room for soap operas here. YOu say the wrong thing because you see Jason with Alice and poof." He makes a hand gesture to the word. "We're all dead. Don't let your feelings for him cloud your judgement. Find someone else to have a crush on or be happy that you're single. Understand?"

Alice blinks in surprise "Oh? I didn't expect.. I mean, I'm used to taking care of myself, so I just assumed I'd be using my money."
Alice smiles sympathetically "I don't know much about that right now, but I don't think I can." Alice shrugs and looks down at her hands. "Michael said he'd sit down with me and explain it a bit more so I can understand it better."
They drive for a few minutes in silence and Alice hesitates before saying "I don't know you very well, but I can tell it's upseting you a lot. I don't want to force you to talk or anything, I just want you to know that I'm here if you ever need to talk. After all," Alice has a small smile "you let me rant and rave when I'm upset." Alice mumbles with a sheepish grin "or yell."
