William says. "Quite frankly, you'ld be better protected downtown, since there will be that many more people around all the time. But Tyler seems rather insistent about you staying, so really, the decision is between you two."
"Trevor will be calling some friends to arrange a decommissioned firehouse for us. It'll do in the interim." His eyes dart to Tyler. "And likely fewer rats to nibble at her toes."

Alice grins at starts to answer Jason when he cries out in pain. Alarm crosses her face as she sees Jason fall. She starts to run over to him to see if he was all right, and stops in shock at the sight of Wraith. She starts backing up, trying to find a space to squeeze through the other two, hoping she can run back to the shopping centre to get some help. "Why are you doing this? Leave him alone!" Alice yells at Wraith when he knocks Jason unconscious.
Seeing Dmitri, Alice blanches and desperately tries to dart between the other two accomplices, using her small size to her advantage and tries to run towards the mall. She also starts screaming at the top of her lungs "HELP! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP US!"

*unsure as how to respond to Dexy's expression, the night terrors seem to dwindle as she hears Trevor's voice behind her. In the effort to turn and face him, Maria finds herself sitting on the floor with her back to the counter. 'uhh .. hi ... ' *said after he's already gone from view, and then looks at her feet at Dexy's comments about him having it bad.
*then something seems to close fast, and when Sparks gets to her feet, her claws scratch at the counter 'yeah ... payback. i don't think they knew what i was. the brethren i mean. i don't know if you know about them, but i know enough to avoid them and their turf. lured a suit into their turf, then bolted when the big guns came out to play.i was nothing then, more like a little mouse getting chased by a lone tomcat in the territory of a bunch of .. well a wolf pack. let me know if you need to know about them. i can probably tell you stuff that no one knows .. about how many have vanished and thats the norms. ....
*a look of shock and then worry crosses the face and as she works her fingers out of the counter comments 'i wonder if any of them are responsible for us vanishing. you know, they were after YOU .. like they knew what you looked like. so .. i .. *then falls silent as her thoughts take a darker turn and then shrugs 'aww what do i know? .. i ... Dexy? .. it wasn't above ground .. the pens, cages, rooms whatever we were locked up in .. it wasn't above ground. i remember rats .. lots of rats. it didn't stink, but it was cold and dark, not like the bootlegger tunnels .. so ... '
*goes silent for a bit now. unaware of anyone other than Dexy and their shared background. 'from out in the hawk, a zero will rise, with .. .. something about needing courage now. gimme a chain and my slingshot. i'm ready to go. wanna kick me some doctor rump now

" Catch her you idiots!" Wraith called after his companions. One of her pursuers seems bathed in green flames as he flew in front of Alice and landed. " Don't make this too hard on yourself." With her path blocked, the other came up behind her, his right hand changed into a sword. " Come on, I'm gonna miss the Simpsons.." He sputterred, brandishing the weapon at her. " Don't m,ake us mess you up, cause we don't mind." Wraith was nearly to the portal.
Felicia sighed and looked at Will, then Ty. " He worries alright." she admitted." Fine, I'll do what the two of you think is best."
Tyler glaced over. " In the interim? what have you two been scheming?"
Dexy Smiled. " Looks like you're getting your strength back. We aren't going anywheres tonight, we can start in the morning." She absorbed everything Maria kept speeling of about her being taken. " They must have perfected their mind blocking techniques, I don't remember anything like that, unless it comes in time. Tell me more about this Brethren. I like to know who's after me. Let's do it outside before you carve up all the furniture." she smirked.

Alice skids to a halt when the green flamed meta blocks her path, but then stops in horror when she sees the other meta change his hand into a sword. She looks to both sides, trying frantically to figure out what she was going to do. For the first time, she wishes she knew how to use her other power and not just have it explode whenever it wanted.
Alice glances at Dmitri and sends him a message telepathically, pleading with him 'Whatever happens, please tell William what happened. Please. Find him and tell him what happened to Jason.' Then, before she can over-think it, she takes off and runs towards the street, screaming her head off.

*the furni .... oh jeez .. i used to scratch on sidewalks and stuff back in the city when i'ld get antsy. hard habit to break' *making an effort to withdraw the claws and getting them back inside the hand.
'right .. the brethren, lets see. now from what i know ..' *her voice carries slightly into the other room then fades as she moves outside. Maria continues to talk about the gang of metas and then finishes off with her personal experiences with Torment and the others she was recently in contact with. continues to 'fidget' in the form of the excess energy burning off with her doing handstands and then walking about the lawn. ' .. so, thats the extent of their turf. you can usually find at least one at any of the major intersections keeping an eye out for their interests. seems that they wanted me cause i was one of the towner freaks. some uptown bint called me that two months ago, not my fault that her car was stolen later. the B's did it ... ' *shrugs and then stands up and then doing a set of slow bend overs, covers the yard again, stopping to look up at Dexy from her arched position and kicks her feet up and over to stand upright once again. 'any of this make any sense? ... heck, before coming out here i met this really cool guy. didn't say a lot, but yanked me and Mikey outta a water pool. i think he's okay for some guy with glowing eyes .. '

MacCotler's still just and errand boy. So..." He shrugs. "So, he's our best chance. Did they find out about the CD, yet? Or did Michael's phantom server not pull of the rouse?" He looks at Ashley. "What? Just because I prefer simpler tools doesn't mean I don't know the advanced ones."

'mind you .. i think that he probably ate all the crocs and gaters in the pipes .. i only know something was there .. and its got th extension cord with it in the pool. and there's tunnels going deeper, but it stunk like gas or soemthing in there .. i wanted to drop a match, cause the rats weren't scared .. but ifigured it was safer to just run.
*then abruptly changes the subject* 'so .. how od you know when a guy likes you?' *her mind on other things now

" I didn't say anything." Ashley smirked, shaking her head.
Tyler shrugged. " I haven't seen Mikey or Eric since they got back. They must still be fight with the computer.I think they're out in the shed. Ashley, go check on them, would you?"
" Yeah, sure." she nodded and left.
Dimitri looked at Alice in disbeleif before nodding slightly to her. " Enough of this crap." She heard from behind her and felt something heavy slam against the back of her head.
when she came to ( must quicker than most would because of her healing abilities), alice was alone in a dark room with a small window near the ceiling. Beyond the heavy metal door, she could here someone getting worked over thoroughly and some muffled talking, but the only thing she could make out was the occasional painfilled outburst from Jason.
" Sounds like you know how to find all the fun people in town." Dexy smirked. " but I don't know why these Brethren would be looking for me? I've never met any of them. Maybe we should grab one of them and ask them." She smiled wickedly, her fangs showing.

Alice cries, feeling helpless as she listens to Jason's cries of pain. She tries to open the door, hoping that maybe if she can get away, she can others. If she can't open the door, she runs over to the window, trying to see if she can open the window and escape.

William takes a deep breath. "I really get the feeling I know who's behind this... even if I don't know it's them." He breathes. I mean, Wraith knew to target me. But my travel plans weren't exactly public. And then, Reno's here, too... It's going to be such a re-union. Too bad it wasn't Toledo... he always did stuff like this, and he had his tells... but, he's been dead for the better part of two decades."
He sits on a chair. "Who do you know that would be able to pull these kinds of strings... and what are the tells? Vengeance... against..." His face whips to Felicia. "OK. Your turn. Who do you know has it out for you?"

'we go in .. i lure one out .. and you get the *nasty word* and we then go andget the info we need .. sound good?'
*keeps the voice low as he toe pokes at the ground, for anyone looking outside it looks like Maria's getting some sense shoved down the throat by the older andmore worldly copy

" Not much of a blader, but I used to be pretty good on a board. " Dexy admitted. " But my bike is faster, just have to get another helmet. Or better yet, we need to boost a ride. " she grinned, obviously scheming something. " Can you drive?"
Felicia shrugged. "Me? Just Denial and his goons. They didn't take too kindly to my walking away when I hooked up with Ty. Other than them and the Doc, I've kept a pretty low profile. But that ties both of them into this doesn't it? Thats why they tried to set me up in the park. That and I'm obviously a meta."
The door didn't open, and the window was sealed shut and looked up into a dark alley with little light. After a few moment, a chuckling as the door opened grabbed her attention. It opened and a large guy dragged Jason's motionless body in and dropped him. " I think I broke your toy. Not that it was much good in the beginning." He laughed as he left, slamming the door behind him. Jason was breathing, but he was battered and his hands were incased in some sort of gloves. The only sound he made was a groan as he hit the floor .
