" I'll do one better. " Ashley replied, pulling her cellphone out and keyed the two way button. " Hey, Trev?"
" Yeah?"
" Where are you?"
" At the moment, hiding from Tyler and Felicia. Why?"
Ashley laughed. " Can you come down to the dock?"
" Be there in a minute."
"Bet you wish you had these in your day, old timer?" She grinned as she tucked it in her pocket.
Within a few minutes, Trevor walked down the dock, watching over his shoulder. " You paged?"
" Do you think you could pull some strings so we could set up shop in one of the old firehouses you were whining about?"
Trevor grinned. " Maybe, but I'm pretty sure that they were put up for sale. I can find out, just need to make a call. How soon do we need to know?"
Jason looked at Alice puzzled as he felt the note and he opened it. A frightened look crept on his face as he balled it up and tucked it in his pocket. He looked around the theatre nervously , sputtering under his breath. " Ragnarok can't be here." After a few minutes, he seemed to settle down and pay attention to the movie.
He leaned in close . " We could be in trouble. those two were sent by an old friend to warn me." He whispered, barely loud enough to be heard over the movie.

Seeing the look of fright on Jason's face, Alice starts getting nervous herself. "Who's Ragnarok?" she whipsers quietly "What's going on?" Before Jason can answer, she continues to whisper "if we're in trouble, you have to tell me what's going on so I can be on the look out as well."

" Ragnarok is a monster of a man named Alexi Radinsky. " Jason started to explain. " When I was with MacColter's group, we crossed paths with him. He's a human tank that hires himself out to the highest bidder. I once saw him punch out a semi because the driver blew his horn at him. Then he threw it at me. " He looked her in the eyes. " I want you to promise me that you'll run when I tell you to. If Ryne is right and Alexi is looking for me, I don't want you caught in the middle. No arguements, promise me this, Alice. If he finds us, you'll go back to Ty and the others. Please. " He pleaded, not hearing the complaining from the row in front of them about their talking.

"And I need to know by tonight." William says. "Preferably before Jason and Alice get home."

" Yeah, but everyone has these phones now, Will. Even if they did intercept us, they have to know which signals are ours." Ashley replied.
Trevor nodded. " I'll make a call. I think Ty will see this as an important enough call to use the satphone. Provided I can avoid him long enough to use it. I kinda walked in on them, thought they were making out but their reaction to my comment proved me wrong. Either of you know why Felicia is ticked at him?"

William looks at the sky for a second, then back at the two of them. "Not a clue." He says, innocently. "Make the call, I'll keep Tyler off your back for doing it. But be descrete. The last thing we need is to draw attention to this place while we're disorganized. Their tracking tools are better than you would know. Trust me." And he heads off towards the cottage. "Ashley, let's go find more questions to ask. Let me know when you know, Trevor. Thanks." And off he trots.

Trevor nodded and headed off towards the lodge and Ashley scrambled to catch up to and keep pace with Will. " But we need some way to stay in contact with each other. What else could we use?"

"Radios just like anyone else." William answers. "But we were never so free with them." He slows his pace for her to catch up. "Also, in most cases, we were simply given a task and told to call when it was done."

*eyes bright as Maria watches Dexy move about with tentacles. the way Dexy moves is a marvel, and it shows in her comment 'wow .. thats kinda cool how you get it all working together .. without looking where each is going.. was it hard?' *then takes advantage of Dexy's inattention to snag part of the sandwich and takes a bite from it, then smirks.
*after chewing and then swallowing continues 'how long? .. lets see .. i .. i was on the streets for about 2-3 years after i changed. became a lookout for the *insert small gang here*, before i grabbed a bag meant for Fel. that got us on the wrong foot. now i'm wanted for killing the cop and the mayor. what joy. anyways .. before that? .. uhh .. i was with auntie for about .. 2 years? .. something like that .. the rest? .. that bad place. i can't remember if i was doing that 'school' thing or not. just learned to survive. i know the bootlegger tunnels like no one's business.
*pauses to look at Dexy and then twists about to look over the shoulder in case 'i don't wanna think about that place just now. makes my head hurt ... ' *the claws have extended and shredded the part of the sandwich she swiped 'not hungry now .. sorry .. ' *and then lets the remains drop to the counter with a quiet sigh*

Alice nods at Jason, noting the urgency in his voice. "I promise," she says quietly, in an attempt to prevent the theatre from kicking them out "if he finds us, I'll go to the others and tell them what happened." She takes Jason's hand and squeezes it gently in an attempt to reassure him.

" It didn't take loke long..hey, make your own sandwich." Dexy exclaimed playfully. She let Maria go on, scowling as she seemed to retreat in her thoughts again. " Look, I know it's hard, but you have to move on or they've won just as easily as if the poison had got you." She said sternly. She looked at the mess of a sandwich. " You killed it, I'm not cleaning it up." Her smile returned.
" Get with the times, Will." Ashley shook her head. " The days of blindly following orders are long gone. We might as well use all the toys at our disposal. If they're as good as you say they are, they'd even tap your can and string comm system. " she changed the subject. " So where are we headed anyways?"
He took her hand and kissed the back of it before turning his attention to the screen.
When the film was over, he took his time getting into his chair so they could avoid the crowds departing. As they left the theatre, he looked at Alice. " That was pretty good, if a little far fetched. I mean come on, mutants saving the world?" He winked at her with a big grin.

William sighs. "Technology isn't always the answer he says." Stopping and looking around, he realises he was wondering aimlessly. Turning suddenly, he heads for the house. "I think we've given Tyler and Felicia enough time. Let's go." He says.

Alice laughs at Jason's remarks. "I know!" she replies "It's sooooo far fetched!" She grins "Though that Jean Grey reminds me of me. Well, except she's taller. And not English. And prettier." Alice grins in a self-depreciating way
As they head to the car, Alice says "Well, I guess it's time go head back now?" She smiles wistfully and almost looks like she doesn't quite want to head back yet, but realizes they probably should.

*looks torn .. between looking up from the dead sandwich to Dexy's face. then quietly speaks 'i think that was the stuff in the vats, not poison. the icky stuff the burned in the body like fire in the bones or something .. its just been a while since i had that sense of .. nothingness. felt weird.'
*gathers the remains of the sandwich and then makes a ball of it and then moves to the door and then flings it out the door. 'no point in having creepy things in the house.' *then looks up .. 'sorry. god i hate what they did. other than being an enemy of your cousin Tony, and me being his kid .. why'd they grab you? .. me? .. cause nothing happened for so long .. you? .. you musta changed almost right away'
'oh jeez .. i've stayed put too long .. oh right .. not alone. hard to remember that. instincts say to run now .. and not come back for about 2 months ... will it ever go away? the terror of the dark? .. i ..'
*the terrified voice suddenly goes quiet and nothing is said as the eyes go vacant for a moment and a small phrase of something medical slips out with superb calm, as someone walks into the room behind her. Maria then lets the head drop to the crossed arms, not wanting to open the eyes but aware of who's about her now 'don't make me go there .. please?' *little is heard now, but some words are whispered over and again.

" Guess I'll practice up on my smoke signals then." Ashley muttered under her breath as headed towards the house. They easily found Felicia and Tyler talking quietly in the living room, but their conversation ended abruptly as they saw the others enter. Felicia gave Will a dirty look. " This is your idea?"
" No, I was mine I told you." Ty snapped before turning to Will for support. " Help me talk sense into her that it's for the best."
Dexy tried to hide she was slightly annoyed. " You know as much as I do. Until we get ahold of that doctor and beat some answers out of her, we won't find out any more than we know now. And you remember more about what happened than I do. My memory blanks out for about four months."
She looked up behind Maria. " Hey Trevor."
" Hi." He replied , and his tone slipped to a hint of nervousness. " Hi Maria. " And he disappeared into the next room as fast as he'd come in."
" Oh yeah," Dexy mused," he's got it bad for you. I'm gonna talk to Will later about going into the city tommorrow and make some inquiries. Maybe we can get a lead on this Doc Reno and have something to go on."
Jason scowled as he rolled along, listening to Alice put herself down. " Don't be so hard on yourself. She doesn't have your sexy accent." He interjected. His smirk returned as he waited for a retort, but instead he shrieked in pain as something struck him from behind and slammed him from his chair.
An unstable laugh filled the air as Jason's attacker stepped into view. " You should have stayed hidden under MacColter's coattails, Dexter. Lets see who comes out to play first, dear old Mac or your big brother. Maybe both, and we can have a big family gathering. " He turned to face Alice. " Sorry my dear, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wraith, I'll be your abductor this evening." A twisted grin filled his face as two accomplices came up along side him, flanking Alice.
" Don't touch..." Jason started to protest as he tried to pull himself into a sitting position, but was silenced by a knee strike to the side of the head from Wraith. His body was limp as Wraith picke dhim up over his shoulder, whistling with his fingers. " Oh taxi, time to go."
As the two were nearly on Alice, a glowing hole on the side of the wall appeared. Next to it, despite his transformation, Alice could see the pained look on Dimitri's face, betraying he recognized her.
