"When a person is in fear of their life for being what they are, even when they're born that way and have no control over it, and they know that they will receive exactly the reaction you are giving now, they do not reveal themselves for fear of destroying the life and relationships they have. Happens if you're gay, coloured or a mutant. Given the way you're reacting now, his fears were justified. It probably would have been better if he'ld said something right away. Then you owuld have left him out of your abject terror, and he wouldn't have been blackmailed so easily, and we wouldn't be risking our lives to save yours." He turns to Janey. "My dear, you are very selfish and naive to assume that everything is as it looks, and doubly so to act like a frightened animal when find out you're wrong." He faces front again. "You are, of course, free to prove my assumptions of you wrong." He says, with a challenging smirk that onl Ashley catches.
