Ch. 66 How safe is a safehouse? (Long & Isamu)

Long sets Avery down so that he is sitting with his back against the wall. He stays crouched down next to him to make sure that his wound is healing.

[dakota]

To Long's amazement, as he crouched down, Avi pulled up his shirt and the bullet was visible. It was actually pushing back out of the entry point slowly as Avi groaned," Little bastard teflon coats his rounds for better penetration." He took a breath, " Gimme ten minuutes and I should be able to walk on my own."

Panek looked at Trevor, then Isamu. " I already told these two that's all we wanted. Neither one of us meant for anyone to get killed, especially my sister. Even when we fought you guys before, we only beat down enough to get away. Like the time Raig dumped Trevor in the dumpster before Klaxon could finish him off."

Trevor shuffled his feet. " I never thought about it, but he's right. I didn't pass out until after they dumped me in."

Panek looked like he was thinking about something," That's it..., daylight. I remember Deth bragging about having some place to hold someone where they'd never see daylight again. I bet that's where they'd take Raig. But..., I don't know where it is."

Trevor swallowed," Ashley might."

[Dome]

Isamu raises an eyebrow and looks at Trevor, "how would Ashley know where Deth would take a captive?"

[bones]

"Not to sound impatient, but when is this lunar cycle supposed to be over with?"

[dakota]

"Three nights." Trevor replied to Long. He turned his attention to Isamu," when did it hit her?"

Panek smirked," Ashley didn't tell you she used to be with the Brethren? In fact she was starting to move up the ranks when she jumped ship."

"She was one of the smart ones." Avi said, tossing the bullet to Long. It was indeed coated in teflon, a dirty trick to give better penetration and keep a bullet from breaking up on impact. " couple minutes and I'll be mobile again."

[Dome]

"She has only had one night so far. I am afraid we will have two more to wait. I do not know that she will. Be able to help at this time. Avery do you have GPS on your phone? We need to determine our exact location so we can proceed," he says obviously ignoring the comments about Ashley and the brethren.

{OOC: can't remember if she told him her past or not.}

[dakota]

(ooc: yes, Isamu already knew Ashley had spent a breif time with the Brethren, and that she had left with Tyler's help)

Avi pulled out his phone. " "Yeah, gimme a sec." He toyed with it a moment before offering it to Isamu. The map showed they were three blocks away." If we keep going straight, we should pass right under the recycling center. Should be a good place to pop up without Long's pals spotting us."

"Back off Avi." Trevor interjected." If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have survived, let alone escape."

" didn't mean to offend." Avi replied. " But those were cops trying to shoot one of their own."

[bones]

"It is ok. I kind of feel guilty anyways for getting caught up in this. I always thought that my friends at the department knew me better than this. At least Rafa was still on our side when we asked for his help."
Getting a grip on himself once again. "So, what are we standing around here for? Let us get going. We have got places we need to be."

[Dome]

Isamu shakes his head, "local law enforcement cannot be trusted due to Wraith's and the mayor's control. Anything that has happened up till now is the fault of those individuals," he looks right at Avery as he speaks. "I know you were shot, they were officers attempting to arrest a suspect who they have been led to believe is dangerous. We never identified ourselves as federal agents. Perhaps if we had, things would have turned out differently."

He pauses and says, "my concern is how they located you at Jason's safe house if no one else knew it was there. Who did you contact besides Ashley?"

[dakota]

"I'm not sure they knew they were there, Isamu." Avi said. " That case was a pretty sophisicated listening device. I bet they planted a couple of them around different locations hoping to get a break. And we gave them one. The place is listed as a government asset, so anyone with access to the list could guess we were connected."

[bones]

While the others are trying to find the blame Long will run on ahead and scout to make sure the way is clear.

[Dome]

Isamu sighs, "if that is the case they may be monitoring the beach house, we cannot return there."

He steps away and taps his band-aid-io, if Avery's GPS works, his radio should too. He says into the radio, "this is Isamu, We are safe and succeeded in evading the police without confronting them. However we believe they were monitoring the safe house since it was a government structure. As the beach house is a government owned building as well we must assume it is also under surveillance. If any signs of surveillance are found do nothing to arouse further suspicion. Also we need information only Ashley posses. Is she lucid enough to talk to someone at this time?"

[dakota]

Ryne's reply message came back with no answers about Ashley, whether it was intentional or not.

Look, I'm getting out of here, these tunnels suck. There was no reasoning with Trevor as he scooted ahead
