After waiting a few minutes, Isamu proved to be right and Avi was just being paranoid about the car following them. " and that would be why you're the team leader, not me." He said as he pulled away from the curb. After twenty minutes, Avi pulled into a convienience store parking lot. He pointed down the block, " That is Jasonn's place, or at least he claimed it. It's actually an agency safehouse."

After waiting for the person at the door to drive away, the coast looked clear enough that he could return back to the basement. Trevor was waiting at the bottom of the stairs," Anything to worry about?" As he asked, something nagged at the back of Long's mind (need a perception roll please)

As Long went back down the stairs, "No. It was probably nothing. Just a guy in a suit. He looked like a door-to-door salesman or something. I did not answer the door and he went away."

Trevor nodded. " Oh just what we need right now, a set of encyclopedias or maybe a slapchop or two." He chuckled.
It suddenly occured to Long that when he had watched the salesman leave, he didn't have his breifcase.

Isamu shakes his head, "it does not mean I was right, it could mean that someone is more cunning than we may expect. With the situation in this city, it would be wise not to trust anyone. So as we approach this building, let us not head directly for it. Perhaps another building first," he says looking around.

Long stops where he is. "Damn! I just noticed something. When that guy left, he left his briefcase at the door. We should probably go get it. I think that just leaving it there on the stoop would call more attention than bringing it in."
Long goes back up the stairs to get the case. But, before he opens the door he checks the window first to make sure there is nobody watching. And then, when he does open the door it is only for the briefest second just to reach out and grab the case.

Isamu and Avi drove the rest of the way without incident, arriving atJason's place just in time to see the door edge open long enough for someone to snatch a breifcase that had been sitting there.
Long heard a car stopping just as he grasbbed the case.

As Long closes the door he turns and runs back to the stairs.
"We have a problem. Just as I was grabbing the case a car pulled up outside. I think they probably saw me. It looks like our cover is blown. Worst case, we might have to fight our way out of here and we would be on the run again."

Isamu steps out of the vehicle. "It seems there is activity here. I just saw someone open the door." He looks around as he walks to the door. He knocks loudly and then, remembering Ashley said Trevor was not alone he yells out, "Ashley sent us."

With a great sigh of relief, "Phew! That was a close one."
Long goes to open the door and hurries them inside to close the door again.
"Ok. Ashley sent you. I do not want to be rude, but who are you and why are you here?"

Isamu looks at the man he doesn't recognize, turns his head to the side as if appraising him and simply says, "where is Trevor?"

Long calls out to Trevor, but not too loudly. Mustn't let the neighbors hear anything.
When Trevor arrives at the top of the stairs, "Now, would you care to introduce yourselves?"

Trevor came at Long's call, and let out a sigh of releif. " It's okay Long, they're friends." He shook hands with Avi and then offered to Isamu. " Avi, Isamu, this is officer Long Fu. He sort of got drawn into this whole mess because he helped me escape the set up. You guys beleive me that I didn't kill anyone, right? " He looked passed the pair," Where is Ashley, anyways?"
Avi watched Trevor closely, then looked at Long," How long ago did he hit his head?"
Trevor answered," I'm fine now. I got banged up when the Brethren torched the ..."
"Shut up Trevor," Avi said," I was asking Long. Patients never admit how bad things are." He turned back to Long.

Long raises his eyebrows in surprise. A little shocked that Trevor would allow somebody to talk to him like that.
"It is true. When this whole thing started we got into a fight with Rusty and she cleaned our clocks pretty good. That was two days ago. So, where is Ashley?"

Isamu shakes hands as well and remains quiet for a moment then he says in answer, "Ashley is indisposed at the moment." Looking at Trevor, "the lunar cycle is at its precipice."
Taking a step away to appraise the room with his back to Long and Trevor he adds, "we would have waited for her, but unfortunately current events escalated our time table. I am sorry Trevor, but I have to ask, where were you last night?"

"Guess you saw the news, huh?" Trevor sighed. " I never left here since yesterday afternoon. Last night I went to bed to try to sleep off my head being banged up and Long trying to poison us for supper."
Trevor cracked a bit of a smirk when Avi gave Long a serious look.
