Spider-Man - in the crowd, you can see MJ. She's inching her way, crawling on the floor towards Pyro and Norman.

Atlas lifts his hands with his palms facing out. "No man...it's just..." The big man grimaces. "Look, when I found out there was a new Goliath, I sorta lost my cool. Dallas wanted me to let it go, but I couldn't. So I started asking questions." He rubs his jaw. "Guess someone got tired of my asking."

Songbird shakes his head. "You big dummy. And you didn't come to me because-?"

"Didn't want to ruin your new gig. Come on Mel - you're a big-time Avenger. You made it. We're all proud of you-"

"We?"

"...uh, me, Norb, and Abe. We get together for a poker night every other week."

"So that Beetle wasn't Abe."

"Don't think so. Abe had a better right. These guys are new I think."

Songbird nods.

Wolverine, you catch another scent on the wind from the rooftops.

X-23 and DD make their way - they are now behind the stage and podium.

Spider-Man looks at Wolverine and says "Plan? Do I look like the kinda guy who makes plans? Let's just slice this skylight open and hop in! And don't expect me to carry you. What would the press say?!"

Hearing DD's call, he replied," Stay sharp, Pyro isn't smart enough to pull something like this on his own." He looked at the former Thunderbolts," Mel, lets go before the party starts. atlas, you're our ace in the hole in case something gets out of hand." He handed off his communicard to Josten, then turned and started the direction DD and X-23 had gone. " Ten bucks says they don't wait for us."

"Hehe, dastardly." Spider-Man hops in through the skylight, trusting his Spidey-Sense to warn him of any real danger to himself. Aura, you see a strange, batshaped metal glider, idling on the roof next door. A big, burly man with a wild mane of dark hair and handlebar mustache in a green and purple outfit is standing next to the fire escape, getting on his gloves and checking equipment.

"That's a sucker's bet if ever there was one." Songbird smiles as she and Hawkeye race in.

Wolverine cuts through the skylight like so much cardboard, allowing Spider-Man to swing through and kick pyro's left hand. However, the right one had an identical flamethrower.

"Might have even listened, if it would have made me a dollar!" The Australian mutant gestured and the circle of flame then constricted, as if to swallow the webslinger whole.

Being a little more cautious after the last encounter Tally comes to almost land but stay hovering right by the purple outfitted man. "OK I have been fooled once before already. But anyway. Hi. My name is Tally!"

" Songbird, give those people some heat sheilding, would you? I'll help Spidey."Hawkeye said as he headed towards the stage. Drawing back his bow he carefully aimed a steel shafted arrow for the flamethrower's nozzle ( [dice=20+9] ) as he said, "Why is it spiders always play with their food?"

DD hears everything going on on the stage. He runs out and does a flip towards Pyro trying to land with his feet in Pyro's chest.

Songbird creates a group of pink brick walls to keep the fire at bay (Spider-Man still needs to roll a dodge though) as Hawkeye hits the nozzle of Pyrofree flamethrower, slicing it open, as X-23 cuts the fuel lines to the units. DD kicks him in the chest, setting him as Wolverine's flying armbar slams Pyro into the ground.

"Oof! Well, ain't you all a pack of dingos?" He grunts, staggering to his feet. "I'm...gonna get you.." He then collapses to the ground, and the fires extinguish themselves.

On the rooftop, the man in green and purple looks at you. "Aw man, I don't need this." As flicks his gloves and lets out a blinding flash of light.[rand=06696570854829525319865459797317244449388650764386410701914347191]
