Spider-Man stands on the stage, seeming almost catatonic as he processes what had just happened. We just got played...Just like he promised! After a few seconds, Spider-Man turns around and looks at Osborn, preparing to say something when the bomb goes off outside. Spider-Man stands staring at Osborn and then fires a webline overhead and climbs out to the roof to see what's going on.

Spider-Man swings up to see Aura being attacked by a guy wearing the Green Goblin's costume (sans mask) and jet glider. It takes you a few seconds to recognize the man as the Headsman - a crook you locked up early in your career who served as a test pilot for much of Osborn's Green Goblin gear.[rand=8279265984354238755413502145410167947531931102917438890975252493]

Aura attempts to parry the blow and then follows up with another one of her own but aimed at the flying craft more then the enemy, assuming because of the use of his craft he can not fly.

He turned to Songbird," You better follow Spidey, just in case Aura got herself in trouble. We've got one Avenger MIA, I don't want to have to tell Cap that there's now a second one."

The Headsman is caught in the web as Songbird catches the glider in a giant pink cushion.
The team assembles with their prisoner below.
Songbird is mildly surprised. "OK...so, did we just catch the Green Goblin?"

Spider-Man hops down from the side of the building and shakes his head at Songbird's comment. "This is NOT the Green Goblin. It's a pretender in his clothing. A wannabe. You'll know when we catch the Green Goblin. There'll be more cackling and I'll have broken a sweat."

"Good job catching this one before he snuck away. " Hawkeye said as the rest of the team assembled. " I knew Pyro wouldn't be the only villian here. I'd like to interrogate him a bit to find out who hired him, but that's the police's job and we have bigger priorities right now. Spidey, can you gift wrap him for the police to find and we're out of here."
