*looks about then feels relief as she spots Rex and moves his way with her bundle of things. 'missa clanston, missa clanston. hotel no bulning down? hai'
*she offers the first aid kit to him, even as she lowers her voice and looks down and seems to shrink a couple more inches and moves to stand behind him now. the streets are crowded and she doesn't want to draw attention to herself.
*as she glances about carefully, she knows that her clothing stands out, what with it being a cotton 2 piece outfit that the males usually wear. she's glad that her hair is safely contained in one tight braid down the back

Two more things to do, the Dark Rider thinks, stifling a yawn, as he kick-started his motorcycle. One of them, the more important one, was to make sure the farmer and his family got home safely.
He had after all promised them that.
The Scout's engine splutters into life, and the Dark Rider takes off after the truck.

first aid [dice=100]
Lex did his best to wrap the burns after cleaning them with the water. " Lie still, officer, and we'll do our best while waiting for help to arrive Help me bandage him up." He said to Vivian," and don't blame me if you have nightmares tonight. Guess your mother lightened up on the idea of her precious daughter doing manual labour?" He smirked despite the grim work, trying to ease both the policeman and Vivian's mind to the graveness of the situation.[rand=7184854276854891747892314058033164727082094233018553697243928471]

Yonette blinks a couple times as her brain translates from American. 'Hai' with a single nod shows that she understands the comment. she sets the things down and gets to her knees and attempts to assist in stabilizing the man.

Vivian forces a weak smile as she shrugs, trying to help with the bandaging, though she stops when anyone seems to have more first aid skills than she does. "I guess. I think I just caught her at the right time and she didn't have time to scold me too much."

"Hm..." Avery seems to digest this information silently, not noticing Rex and Yovennette until late.
"Oh, excuse me. I don't want to get in the way." He quickly moves to allow Rex and Yovennette better room to work while taking out a pencil and note pad, writing down the key words that he gathered from the officers minds.
Avery begins to walk down the street, searching the area for any clues and debris from the fleeing vehicle.

(Scarecrow)
You manage to avoid slipping off the road, but your engine isn't sounding so hot and the criminal car is speeding away fast.
(Dark Rider)
The Farmers follows your directions on getting them home safely.
(Lex and Vivian)
You manage to stabilize the burned man, and you start hearing the sounds of more police cars. As you look about, you see the exotically dressed Yonette and two other men tending to other injured policemen. One of them even seems to be writing down notes of some kind.
(Yonette, Rex, and Avery)
Yonette manages to tend to the injured cops as you can hear their fellows arrive. Rex, there is something about Avery that strikes your interest (Perception roll please).
Avery, roll streetwise - something about the names sound familiar to you.

After seeing that the farmers got home safely, the Dark Rider rides into the city, where he drops off an anonymous note to his favorite reporter (who, he thinks, probably doesn't know who his frequent anonymous tipster is). The note includes directions to the location of the Klansmen in the Cage, and says:
"You'll find an entertaining story here. Bring a photographer. But make sure someone knows where you're going."
That done, it's time to go home and call it a night.

"Don't expect it to happen regularly." Lex replied as he tied off the last bandage. Looking up at the others helping another cop, he spotted one of them taking notes(Avery). "Great, looks like the press is already here." He sputtered as he turned towards the approaching sirens. "Vi, did you see anything on the way here?"

Vivian nods, "I know. When my mother didn't start lecturing, I decided not to press my luck and just left." Thinking about his second question, Vivian shakes her head slowly as she replies, "No, I don't think I saw anything odd on my way here."
