But afterwards, Rusty almost made it sound like she might have known, and was sending a message. That was why Raig and I were considering bailing. But somehow they figured it out."
Trevor obviously was having issues, stood up," Excuse me," and left the others to duck into one of the side rooms.

"Who knows if they really knew or not. It does not matter at this point. I think that is pretty much all the info that had not been shared before. Everything else we have already told Ashley."
Surprised at how Trevor left, "I guess he had to drop a load in a hurry."

Getting a little worried at how long Trevor has been in the other room, Long gets up and knocks on the door.
"Trevor? You ok? Sorry if those noodles I made were not very good. I never was very good at cooking for myself."

Trevor hesitated. " Is this a good idea? My head is stil throbing a little from the concussion. Maybe I just need some sleep to ease my mind a little? We probly all need sleep."

"Yes. You are probably right. We have had a really full night and morning. It has been quite some time since either of us has had a full eight hours of sleep. We will ALL (giving a look at Panek, too) feel more rational later on."

Rubbing his temple, Trevor asked a question he was sure he wanted the answer," Long, you think we can really get out of this fix? Honestly?"

"My uncle was certainly not a very good man, but he did often say one wise thing, 'Every problem has at least one solution. It only requires proper execution and skill.' I may not be any good at cooking, and it probably sounds pretty corny, but I like to take what my uncle said and compare it to a recipe. There is no problem that cannot be fixed. You just need to follow the recipe and it will probably come out perfect. In this situation though, we are pretty much making up the recipe as we go, but with faith and hard work and a whole lot of ass-kicking I know we can come out on top."

Trevor smiled. " I like your uncles philosophy. And you're right, I do the cooking from now on. I'm gonna crash." He patted Long on the shoulder," Thanks for everything." and heded for one of the bedrooms. leaving Long and Panek alone.

Long is in the best mood he's been in since this whole fiasco started.
To Panek, "Alright, go on and get some sleep. Your room is over there." Pointing to the one furthest from Trevor. "I am going to stay up for a bit longer and watch some more news. Do not worry. I will keep the volume down."
After Panek goes into his room, Long turns on the TV looking for any news reports about the three of them or the Brethren. Making sure to keep the volume low enough so that only he can hear it.

Panek hesitated, then nodded and headed off to the room Long pointed out.
The news was all over the story about the manhunt for a young mutant , but reasons were vague and though pictures of Trevor were on every broadcast, they had yet to call Long by name.

(Is there any mention of Allison or the house that burned down? Is the news saying what Trevor is charged with? Are they saying anything about his past, i.e. Does he have a record?)

(sorry, let me rephrase) The news stories about Trevor told of how he was a mutant and used his powers to burn down a building in the 'glades. inside the building were found the remains of two men, identified as Harmon Jefferies(age 24) and William Deal (age 22). There was also a possible abduction of a young woman, but police were having difficulty identifying her and were waiting on DNA traces from the lab. Trevor's description was given perfectly and described as being unarmed, but his powers make him too dangerous to approach. He may or may not be travelling with another man, possibly oriental descent, beleived to be a police officer aiding Trevor, but police would not release the officer's identity there is no mention of a criminal record or charges, but most casts are refering to him as the Mutant Arsonist. |

Long turns off the TV. Too much bad news is depressing and he's having trouble trying to keep his eyes open. Long decides to go to sleep after all, but he will sleep on the couch. He doesn't trust Trevor around Panek. Way too much bad blood between those two. Even if Panek is supposedly on the side of good now. And he doesn't trust Panek, period. No matter what he says or if his brother is missing. That guy is out for number one and he doesn't care who gets hurt as long as his own neck is safe. The only reason he's helping us at all is that he want's his brother back, but his cowardice with show itself sooner or later.
