With a look of pure panic, "Turn that off right now. Take the battery out! They can track your phone as long as it can get signal."

Panek looked at Long in disbeleif, but turned the phone off anyways. " It's just one of those cheapie pay as you go's. " He took the battery out and tossed it on the end table. "You've watched that Will Smith movie too many times."

"Are you kidding me? I am a cop working with the FBI. Triangulating positions through cell phone signal is something the FBI does all the time."

Panek shrugged and pulled out the battery. " If that was my brother telling me where he's hiding, I'm gonna be pissed. whether I agreed to help you or not."
Trevor piped up," More likely it's Deth luring you to where he's holding your brother. Let's stick to the plan and wait on Ashley and the others."

"This is getting tedious. We are going to go out of our minds just sitting here with worry. We need something to occupy our time while we wait. The TV just has more bad news. Got any suggestions?"

" I'm not much for charades." Trevor admitted.
"Would it make sense to put together what we have to present to Trevor's friends?" Panek suggested after a moment.

"Very good idea. So far we know that Trevor and I have been framed for the fire at the swamp house. Raig is missing. Most likely he has been taken captive by the Brethren. And even though it is not extremely difficult to get Rusty off her feet, it is nearly impossible to knock her unconscious. Deth is even tougher than Rusty and he has giant pincer claws. Nobody knows anything about Denial or even what he looks like. What else is there?

" Well, " panek started," you're missing one thing for sure. deth didn't think the place in the swamp was empty. They knew that Dexter and his girlfriend were missing, and thought he was there since it was his old man's camp. there was never any mention of killing anyone, but arson was preplanned."
Trevor's eyes widened," you mean they were after Jason and Alice? didn't it occur..."
Panek cut him off," I found out after we left you two behind. Look, prperty damage is one thing, but I'm no killer."
" Tell your sister that." Trevor snarled as both men got to their feet.

Long also stands up and puts his hands on each of their shoulders. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Fellas this is not at all productive. We are trying to consolidate information here. We do not need to be poking at each others' wounds. Let us sit back down and continue." By now Long is also starting to get a little tired and frustrated at these two strutting cocks circling each other on the elementary schoolyard. He's on the verge of just grounding them to their rooms for the remainder of the wait. "Now there were a lot of names flying around there that I did not recognize. Who is Dexter, and Jason, and Alice?"

Long could feel the heat in Trevor's shoulder, but he didn't burst into his flame form. "Alice Weatherby is one of the leaders of the group I made contact with for help, and Jason Dexter is an original member that used to be a government black ops agent and went by the name Firefight. They are also engaged."Trevor added the last part painfully.
Long might not recognize the names, but he had heard the name Firefight before, but in a different context. The pseudo-name had shown up on most wanted lists twice, only to vanish the next day. He was also listed as a person of interest in several cases that control had been taken over by federal departments, usually Homeland Security. In fact Long could remember hearing the veterens laughing about the guy being Homeland's hitman, since the name Firefight seemed to come up in places where the death of a prominent meta had been killed, most of them later proven to be threats to society. But as far as Long knew, no one who he was.
"He's a killing machine is what he is." Panek replied as he sat. " No remorse. Nearly as bad as Deth, except Jason does it for pay instead of for fun. This Alice must be either crazy or just as bad."

"I do not think that we need to worry about Firefight or Alice right now. They were not at the swamp house. Since the Brethren were expecting them to be there we can safely assume that they do not have them and do not know where they are at. In any case, that seems more of an internal problem within the team." To Trevor, "We could certainly ask Ashley about it when she brings the tam together."

"He's not as bad as Panek says." Trevor replied." I've known Jason since I worked with his brother Tyler, and he's not a bad guy. Just doesn't have issues being a trigger man is all. And not a good idea to bring up, Ashley and Jason were almost engaged before he had his accident and his spine was messed up, when she hit him with a guard rail."

"Ok. Definitely, we will need to mention that the Brethren were expecting Firefight and Alice to be there. Other than that I do not think the two of them need to be mentioned." Long looked puzzled for a moment. "Trevor, who's idea was it use the swamp house? Was it a spontaneous idea the two of you had or did somebody suggest it to you?"

Trevor paused a moment, then replied," We sort of came with it on our own. Tyler said we could use it anytime, so we just took off for a couple days. Tyler and his girlfriend Felicia took their little one to her parents place in Montana for a while because of some other crazyness that happened here a while back."

"Oh. Well, nevermind then. So, what other info did I miss other than the reason the Brethren were out there in the first place?"
